Not really noticeable and displays beautifully. Today I have a beautiful Madam Alexander 14-15 Amy doll from Little Women. This doll is from the early 1950′s. I also include a doll stand for her. Amy has her original dress, with tag, pantaloons and shoes. There is one small spot on the back of her dress that may come out, see photo close up. Her lovely blonde hair has a little missing from her bangs and needs her curls restyles. I think she had black bows at one time. Other than that she is in wonderful used condition, a lovely doll for your vintage collection. Her eyes open and close and all joints work. Please see pictures for full details. We offer for your consideration a gently displayed beauty of a 1950s bent leg walker Wendy face doll with lovely original triple stitched Tosca wig styled into her original and close to factory fresh condition. She enjoys easy open and close bright stunning eyes, mostly unfaded eyebrows, and high colored lips and cheeks. She is listed, as found, in a very displayable condition. She was a walker, but the walking mechanism no longer functions as it did originally. Her head and legs are well attached. Her arms are well connected, but perhaps she will need restringing someday. —Her molded eyelashes are intact and lovely. She does not hold a pose with her arms. She cannot stand without a doll stand. She is tagged Alexander-kins Meg. Her slip, dress, pinafore, bloomers, socks, and shoes are all clean, displayable and enjoy well attached buttons and stretchy elastic on the waist. Her panties no longer have stretchy elastic. The soft and, fuzzy bottom, to the shoes is beautiful with intact straps and buttons. —She is a doll free of odors, blemishes, issues, no major, or minor, splits to her plastic, and perfect little fingers and toes. She does show any splits. Her hair is close to factory fresh with a stunning bright blond glow and only a few hairs out of place. She is marked ALEX on her back. Amy is 14 tall, is made from hard plastic. She is a “walker” doll, meaning her head turns back and forth as her legs move. She has strawberry blonde hair, with curls on top of her head accented by a pink bow. She has a lovely face, with pinkish-red lips, light brown eye-shadow, applied upper lashes and painted-on lower lashes and eyebrows. She is marked “ALEX” on the back of her head. She was made between the late 1940s and mid 1950s, and has a “Margaret” face. Pink and white dress with pink ribbon belt. White petticoat with lace trim. White pantaloons with two rows of lace trim. Black mary jane shoes with bows & snaps – fuzzy bottoms. I’m not a Madame Alexander or antique doll expert, but I will try to describe her in detail. If you have any specific questions or need more detailed pictures of anything, please feel free to message me. Doll Body : Her body is in good to very good condition. Small flaws include: some light grey scratches and a small crack on the back of her left leg, which does not seem to effect movement (see pics). She has some light marks on her face, which may be removable, and well as what appear to be some small imperfections in the hard plastic (see close-up of face). Hairdo looks to be original/untouched, curls are tight, but the wig has pulled away from the side of her face a little, exposing the glue (see picture). Her head faces a few degrees to the right side when her legs are together, which seems common among the other walker dolls in other listings, but I mention it because I’m not positive it was like that originally. Outfit : Her pink and white dress is in good to very good condition. It is missing the “Amy” tag, and the original black belt has been replaced by a pink ribbon. Elastic on the pantaloons and petticoat is good, but rayon socks are little loose. There is some yellowing to the lace collar and cuffs, as well as to her undergarments. Socks have two small spots on them. From cleaning many antique linens, I believe this yellowing would probably be reduced or eliminated by soaking in Biz or Oxiclean. Comes from a smoke free home.
