I just got in a collection from one owner. Her father owned a toy shop in the 50′s. She was very spoiled! This is a 1950′s wonderful Cissy in tagged factory outfit. She is as wonderful as they come, no odors or damages, look at that wonderful face! Please take a look at all my other Alexander and other vintage doll listings this week. Hi, Here is a vintage Cissy doll wearing a beautiful and original bridal ensemble that was made for Cissy by Madame Alexander. This Cissy has auburn hair in the original style I believe, in the updo with a lower chignon in back. Her eyes are green sleep eyes with black lashes. Over the undies she has her beautiful tagged bridal gown, which has one tear up the back of the outer tulle layer hand mended, her original crinoline half slip, her original veil which has a coronet of flowers and a layer of tulle, also her bouquet which is a replacement. Her dress closes in back with all of the original snaps except for one side of the top snap. The outfit is very beautiful, it is clean and has no odors. I have added an extra tulle petticoat to help her dress flare nicely, and a pair of long gloves, both are home made. Cissy’s “pearl” earrings and necklace, her “diamond” ring and bracelet are newer additions. Please ask me any questions you may have, I will be happy to answer. Thank you for looking… It has been brought to my attention by a kind ebayer that there is a crack line underneath Cissy’s left eye, one I hadn’t noticed, so I looked her over and see there is also one inside of her left lower knee, a fine line but it is there, so I added a photo of the knee and you can see the line underneath her eye in the first photo, a closeup picture of her face. She is completely original & is wearing one of the lesser-seen versions of the Alice Costume… The tagged puff-sleeved blue cotton dress has tiny white polka dots, and the crispy white organdy pinafore has a beautiful curved bodice without shoulder straps. The dress has a small black velvet bow mid-Peter Pan collar, and closes at the back with three white buttons. The pinafore ties with a large bow. This outfit is in excellent condition with no holes, rips or tears. Maggie wears her original white cotton panties, nylon socks, and original black side-snap shoes. She’s carrying the White Rabbit… Who is wearing his watch & constantly bothering her about the time… And her vintage original pink beauty box which holds curlers and a comb. Maggie is truly gorgeous… Her features are perfect & her blush has been refreshed. Her platinum hair is pulled up neatly at the sides & curls cascade down her back and at her shoulders. She is clean and free of any cracks, splits, chews, stains or odors. She has very little joint wear at legs or neck, so I would say this doll was used for display and was not played with. She has a wonderful, original matte finish to her face. Nice blush and grey eye shadow. Her hair is full and shiny auburn red. In it’s original set. Nice matching arms with blush on hands. No rips to the rubber. Her only flaw that I could point out is a factory defect on her right foot. A little smoosh to the original plastic on her toes, but it is apparent that all original paint is there. She has had her eyes replaced with vintage original Cissy eyes. Her original eyes had lost most of her lashes. These lashes are all original. Eyes are clear and bright. New bands to arms and head. She is wearing a pair of Cissy panties with a new waist band. She was made in 1953 with strung legs. She is in mint condition and all original from head to toe. Her tagged outfit is mint and crisp. She has sleep eyes and rosy cheeks. She came in a box marked 564 Auburn. The box has shelf wear and is discolored. I also accept other forms of payments. Here, I have a great 1955 vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She is a perfect doll for a new collector, because she doesn’t come with the problems a lot of dolls at a reasonable price have. Like: dirty, wobbly head, missing lashes, cracks, crotch splits, missing hair, bad odors, tears in the vinyl arms, nose rubs, moldy eyes, face or body… This doll doesn’t have ANY of these things, so you can dress her, display her, and enjoy her! She is in really nice shape with a near perfect body with no cracks, or splits at all. Very nicely strung, and not wobbly. Cissy came to me with her hair pulled up in the ponytail. I have neatened it up a bit and added flowers. (can be removed they are pinned in with a bobby pin). Though this isn’t a true ponytail Cissy, she is still a great doll. Add ribbons to her ponytail to match outfits you dress her in. Couldn’t be more fun! She has blue green sleep eyes with all of her eyelashes, red lips, and very nicely painted features. She will come wearing this black seamstress made lace teddy, and mommy made pearls on her neck and wrist. A played with Cissy doll, but a nicely played with one. Marked “ALEXANDER” on back of head. Complete with original Earrings. Here’s a great “CISSY” for your collection. Her mature figure, jointed limbs and high-heeled feet made her a fashion doll classic in the 1950′s. Her body is hard plastic, and her arms are vinyl. Her head turns, and the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees are jointed. Her “sleep” eyes work well and the lashes are full – see the photos. Her “lipstick” is intact with no chips or scratches to the color. Cissy comes complete with her original rhinestone earrings. Her wig, which is detached, is a redhead. Some of the original style can be seen but the wig does need some TLC. She is wearing panties that are stretched out and certainly look her age, but I don’t know if they were original. This Cissy is in excellent condition. The only issue can be seen in the second photo – One little piece of vinyl pops out of the arm joint when the arm is lowered – it can just be pushed back in to the joint – It’s mentioned here for complete accuracy.
