From our special family member who collected all sorts of dolls years and years ago, we have this pretty brunette Cissette doll by Madame Alexander. She has always been stored in a Madame Alexander doll box and is in excellent condition. Box and doll stand are not included. My husband’s grandmother and two aunts collected many dolls of all kinds, and now we are searching for homes for some of the dolls where they will be loved and cared for. His one surviving aunt is now ninety-five years old and residing in a special memory care unit where she requires some unique care. Some collected “treasures” are helping to provide that care. Cissette’s hard plastic body is jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips, and knees. She is loose, but still posable. Her dark brown hair is in the original set… Parted in the middle with bangs and shoulder-length curls. Her curls are somewhat flattened in the back due to stored position. Her pretty blue sleep eyes function properly and her molded lashes are intact. She has a clear complexion and perfect facial coloring. The clothing on this doll has never been removed. She is wearing a white and royal blue polka dot cotton dress. The sleeveless dress has a full gathered skirt, darts in the bodice, and a scooped neckline and closes in the back with four small snaps. The neckline and the skirt are trimmed with a self ruffle. A royal blue satin ribbon bow accents the waist at center front. Under her dress Cissette is wearing a white nylon half slip and white taffeta boy-leg panties. The panties and the slip have elastic waists and are trimmed in the same narrow white lace. On the dress tag… “Cissette” C MADAME ALEXANDER NEW YORK, U. Completing Cissette’s ensemble… Silver and royal blue strappy high heels, nude-colored seamed stockings, a royal blue straw hat with white flowers, a pearl necklace, and drop pearl earrings. One of the “pearl” earrings is discolored from age. A lovely addition to anyone’s collection! From a smoke-free and pet-free home.
