I won this doll and I was totally surprised when she arrived. She is in brand new condition. Never been displayed, played with or anything. She came in her Alexanderkins box in perfect condition, as she will come to you. She is a 1953 strung Alexanderkin in a red and white organdy and polished cotton jumper outfit. It is crispy new and clean. She wears rayon socks and clean white fuzzy bottom shoes. Her stringing is perfect, her face is perfect and she has gray blue flutter eyes which are beautiful. Her face is perfectly blushed and she has lovely tosca curls in two ponytails on either side of her face tied with red ribbons to match her dress. This hairstyle was done in 1953, but it was not as common as the flip curls. She is absolutely stunning! Thank you for looking and have a great day. Here is a lovely all original Madame Alexander Kelly doll that comes from a local estate. She is the 12 version that was made in 1959 only. Her face color is excellent except one eye has better bottom lashes, her hair has retained its original unique styling, eyes open and close, and her light blue earrings are present. Her entire outfit is beautiful. The only slight flaws are that the elastic chin strap on her hat is stretched out and her panties elastic is just a bit loose. I did not undress her because I knew I could never retie that lovely bow her satin sash is tied in. She has on black shoes with side snaps. Soles and flat heels are present. Her arms are just a little loose, but will hold a high pose sometimes. The back of her legs have a few light dots, please see all pictures. Here today is an absolutely gorgeous vintage 16 inch Elise doll and outfits with boxes made by Madame Alexander in the 1950′s. Elise is all original with NO enhancements. She has no unwanted marks, discoloration, stains and no odors. Her shiny brunette wig is in excellent condition retaining its perfect little curls, it doesn’t appear to have ever been combed. Her face paint is beautiful and vivid with no marks or smudges, I have not cleaned her so she could use maybe a very light sponge bath to rid any dust. Elise has stunning crystal clear open and close blue eyes, full set of hair eyelashes as well as painted lover lashes, stroked brows, vivid blushed cheeks and dark coral/pink painted lips. She has all fingers and toes. Her stringing is just perfect with no loose, chipped or cracked joints. All joints including her ankles are the perfect tension. All joints function as they were made to do. The boxes are in very good condition. Im uncertain if the clothing inside of the boxes are the actual ones that coincide with the numbers on the boxes. Both untagged outfits have the pinking sheers cutting at the seems that is a characteristic of Madame Alexander clothing. The little peddle pushers have a very small and faint spot that is hardly noticeable. The rest of the clothing has no stains, no holes and no discoloring. Its sad to say but the outfits and their boxes have a slight smoke smell. Maybe with time and an airing out or possibly a laundering the smoke will dissipate. Everything as shown in the pictures are included but please note that the boxes and her outfits will be packaged in plastic so there should be no transfer of smells. Elise has only had the clothing on today for the pictures and then promptly removed. Elise is absolutely stunning that would make a lovely addition to a Madame Alexander doll collection. If it weren’t for the issue of the odor the outfits and boxes are all in excellent condition. Some pictures today were taken with a flash and others were in normal daylight. This is a beautiful 20 Cissy bride doll from the mid 1950′s. She has a glued on reddish-blonde wig (Winnie style), jointed arms and legs, blue eyes, and a tiny little “diamond” wedding ring. The band that attaches her head to her body has broken, so she needs to have her head reattached. Her dress is in excellent condition. She has a veil that is attached to a straw hat, adorned with tiny silk flowers. Her sparkly silver heels are in beautiful condition, as are her stockings. There are no scratches or stains on her body; she will be perfect just as soon as her head is reattached! She will be a wonderful addition to any collection. This is a vintage red brocade, 3/4 length gown with matching wrap and white flower at the waist. The wrap is sewn on at waist with a visible square snap and the flower is attached with a brass safety pin. 3 snap closure on the back. On the front left side of this dress, there is some light color/sun fade in the folds, shown in the images. The white lining has several stains, also shown in the images. Over all this dress is in good condition. There are no holes or tears. According to The Cissy Files book, this gown is listed as Hard to Find and from 1956. She’s wearing a gorgeous Lemon Tulle dress that is wrapped at the waist to create an attached sash. It is accented with a garland swag of pink and white flowers at the waist and at the neck. She is wearing the original velvet ribbon in her hair which is in an updo with separate bangs. Cissy has pierced ears, a rhinestone bracelet and a ring. Everything that is on the doll is original, not replaced. The doll has no cracks, splits, or stains, not even at the knees or at the hip. She has simply gorgeous coloring with sparkling blue eyes and all her eyelashes. The hair is in original set and its lovely. The bow is just perfect and completes the hairstyle excellently. The dress was hard to photograph and it is actually a more vibrant yellow in person. The dress is just stunning and it sits out so nice and full. The flowers are excellent and show very little age. On the right side in back of the flowers are two areas of damage to the tulle. I believe that it is possible the wire of the flowers caught in the tulle when it was being stored which caused the tears. I’ve photographed this for you to see. Luckily, these areas do tuck into the dress nicely since the tulle is so full. Unless you pull the tulle out and look for it, the tears will never be seen when displaying this lovely doll. I’ve also shown a close-up of how this looks folded in which is the next to the last photo shown. As stated above the yellow color is prettier in person. In the folds the color is a little brighter in some places but it is not overly. And does not detract from the beauty of the dress. Under the dress Cissy wears the correct yellow bloomers and slip. The elastic did relax with age so I have pinned the slip in the back and now it stays up perfectly. The bloomers stay up just fine with out the need for pinning. The hose are in great shape and Cissy comes with beautiful gold heels. The heels are in really good condition with just the slightest relaxation to the elastic. Lastly Cissy’s wears beautiful all original rhinestone jewelry. The earrings have a beautiful shine and are just so fancy! The ring is in excellent condition as is the bracelet and both have nice shiny rhinestones that have not dulled. All together this is such a stunning doll that will stand out in your collection.
