DOLL IS BEING USED AS A MODEL TO SHOW HOW THE GOWN AND ACCESSORIES LOOK ON A VINTAGE CISSY DOLL. It is #2172 from 1957. It has a wide circular skirt fully-lined in white taffeta and is tagged “CISSY”. Her pale blue velvet sash is caught at the waistline with a garland of roses. Gown and slip do not appear to have been laundered and both are in very nice condition… The gown still rustles with movement. There looks like there may be more of a blue color tone within some of the folds of the gown which happens over time with such a wide circular skirt. There is very minor wear at the bottom of the open sleeves. The velvet waistband is a dusty blue and shows minor age; however, the original vintage floral trim looks very nice. Gown and slip are not mint nor perfect but in very nice vintage displayed condition. Clothing has no offensive odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. Straight leg walker head. The 1954 Wendy heads have the same look and weight as those of the 1953 strung dolls. A creative person or doll hospital might find a way to use it for the earlier’Kins. Color is healthy and rich. Pale dots on one cheek. Lids are not scratched. Wig is glossy and full. In original factory set. THIS BEAUTIFUL WENDY ANN HAS BEEN TOTALLY RESTORED AS SHE WAS A MESS WHEN I GOT HER. THE RESTORATION WAS DONE BY A WONDERFUL ARTIST SEVERAL YEARS AGO. SHE DID A TERRIFIC JOB WITH BLUSHING IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES AND THE FACE HAS THE CORRECT PAINTING WITH THE LIP COLOR AND SHAPE AND BEAUTIFUL SMOKEY EYESHADOW AND BLACK EYELINER. THE AUBURN WIG IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I THINK IT IS MOHAIR. SHE HAS ROOT BEER, PERFECT GLASSINE EYES. THE ORIGINAL, ALEXANDER TAGGED OUTFIT MAKES THE DOLL. IT IS AN IVORY, PLEATED FAILLE DESIGNED WITH A SWEETHEART NECKLINE, RUFFLED SLEEVES AND 3 LAYERS OF RUFFLES ON THE SKIRT. SHE WEARS SATIN PANTIES AND THE CORRECT, TIE ALEXANDER SLIPPERS. THE TRIM ON THE DRESS, HAIR ORNAMENT AND BOUQUET ARE THE ORIGINAL ALEXANDER TYPE FLOWERS. THIS WENDY ANN STYLE DOLL WAS MADE BETWEEN 1938 AND 1944 AND WAS OFTEN A BRIDE OR BRIDESMAID. Here today is a vintage hard plastic/vinyl 20 inch Cissy doll and her tagged outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1957. Please look and all of the pictures to see Cissy’s issues that I will try and describe. Cissy has most of her original hair eyelashes but on one eye she is missing about 1/8th of an inch in the center. She has open and close blue/green eyes that work as they should, the whites of her eyes are white not yellow. Cissy’s face paint is very good with the exception of her blush is slightly orange but her painted lips are perfect. I don’t see any unwanted marks on her face. Cissy has some pinkish color transfer on her waistline and a tiny bit on a couple of chest areas. She has earring holes but no earrings. They do not have any green but it appears maybe someone or the factory put a little glue to possibly hold earrings on, but it does not hamper her ability to wear earrings because the holes are still open. Cissy has very nice blush on the back of her hands and knees. She has a beautiful brunette wig that is in excellent clean and shiny condition, it just needs a little style refreshing. In some of the pictures the wig looks like it has some missing hair near her ears but I don’t believe there is any missing, it just needs to be repositioned. Her joints are good with no cracks, no splits and no chews or missing vinyl, her legs bend as they should and her arms are great but her head needs a readjustment, it wobbles. Im uncertain if it was factory done or not but she has very nicely painted light light pink toenails. It barely shows unless you really look, it appears it was was professionally done. Other than the pinkish color transfer I don’t see any unwanted body marks. Cissy’s outfit is tagged on the lavender satin sheath dress that is in very good condition with no holes or tears, but needs a little ironing. All of the original snaps are intact. Unfortunately the matching wrap around skirt has faded or changed colors but otherwise in good condition with no holes or tears. Included are very nice Cissy black elastic strappy high heels. With just a little restoration Cissy could be a real stunner, even without it she is still a very beautiful doll. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless. Here today is an adorable, 8 inch, hard plastic BKW, all original, tagged “Wendy Kins Nurse” doll #460, marked on her back ALEX, made by Madame Alexander in 1963. This little hard to find cutie is just about as perfect as can be without being considered mint. Other than that and just a slight trace of light dust she is perfect. Her darling tagged nurses outfit is crisp and clean in excellent condition with no holes, no tears, no stains, no discoloration and no fading. The blue and white striped dress is tagged Wendy-Kins closing in the back with the original intact square snaps. The white pinafore closes in the back with a self tie sash that feeds through white painted grommets. Wendy is wearing her original white organdy panties with lace around the leg openings. Her sweet little white nurses cap is rolled back as it should be but there is only one stick pin in the back. Wendy is wearing her original white anklet socks and her off white shoes with off white satin ribbons with fuzzy bottoms. Her sweet little baby doll is made of hard hard plastic with tiny little eyes that move side to side and open and close. I believe she is articulated at the legs and arms. Baby still has the original pink wire around her neck that is attached to Wendy’s wrist. She is wearing her original little white eyelet dress, bonnet and white diapers. I don’t find any issues with Wendy, her face paint is gorgeous with nicely blushed cheeks, vivid painted lower lashes and brows, and tiny red painted lips. Her big crystal clear blue eyes flutter and open and close as they should. Wendy’s flip style brunette wig is perfect, it has never been combed. Wendy is a walker with bend knees, there are no joint issues, she can stand and hold poses without any assistance. Precious hard to find Wendy Kins Nurse and her adorable baby are in excellent excellent condition that would make a wonderful addition to a Madame Alexander doll collection. All original Madame Alexander Cissette in Blue dot cotton ruffle dress. The doll and tagged dress are in superb condition. Dress is still bright and white. Half slip is white and bright. Her original and hard to find Cissette blue heels appear nice and tight on her feet. Beautiful matching blue straw hat with white flowers. Her red hair is in its original style.
