She’s #621 from 1965 “Wendy in Organdy Dress”. She comes to you in excellent condition complete with her correctly marked box. Wendy is a bend-knee non-walker with lovely all original facial coloring and a fantastic brunette wig with original pink bow. She has no cracks, splits, or stains on her hard plastic. The dress is beautiful. It is pink organdy with rows of lace and flowers at the waist. There are no stains, holes, or damage. On the back left side of the skirt near the tag you can just make out a little age discoloration of the organdy. It does not detract in any way. Under the dress is a pink slip and pink panties, pink socks and black side snap shoes. A wonderful addition to your collection. Please see all my other vintage doll listings this week. We offer for your consideration a vintage 1950s hard plastic 20 Cissy Doll by Madame Alexander along with clothing and accessories. This doll has a red wig that is styled away from the face with a metal clasp and into a pony tail in the back. The gold elastic that held the ponytail is intact but is worn and a little loose. The hair is very nice and looks beautiful around her face. The doll is jointed at the head, shoulders, elbows, upper legs, and above the knees. The head is loose and probably needs to be restrung but it will hold in place when the doll is carefully posed. She has beautiful facial coloring with very pretty lip and cheek color. She also still has blush at the knees, tops of hands, and a little at the ears which are pierced. She has sleep eyes with applied upper lashes, painted lower lashes and brows. There is a small rub in the face paint that is at the tip of the nose (see pictures of close up). She is marked ALEXANDER on the back of the head. The doll is wearing a yellow dotted swiss dress that looks like an Alexander dress but is untagged. The dress is in good condition but does show a little wear. She is also wearing the shawl and hat that we believe go with the Navy Blue Taffeta dress #2146. Both the shawl and the hat have lovely vintage flowers. We were not exactly sure how the shawl was suppose to fit, but it appears to be all there and we think that we got it close to correct. Both the shawl and the hat appear to be of very high quality but are a little soiled. We did not attempt to clean in any way. Under the outfit the doll is wearing vintage white panties, a bra, and a half slip. She also comes with nylon stockings and a pair of Blue high heel sandals with rhinestones that are marked Dolshoe. Completing her outfit are a rhinestone Cissy ring, a faux pearl necklace marked Japan, and pearl drop earrings. One of the earrings needs to have the faux pearl attached. The Cissy Ring is pictured with a 1956 doll on page 123 of The Collector’s Encyclopedia that we already cited. There was also a brown velvet bow that we thought could have been attached to the dress. We will include it as well just in case it can be used. This Cissy is not perfect but it is very beautiful and shows very nicely. This is a gorgeous 14 Madame Alexander Kathy Roller Skater Doll with her original clothes and purse at side. I have had them stored for several years myself but now have moved to a much smaller home and need to reduce my things. This gorgeous creature is Cissy, made by Madame Alexander in 1956. She comes from an estate collection that featured many Cissy dolls and their vast wardrobe. I do not believe this doll has ever even been undressed. In fact, I did not undress her because her factory wrist tag is still attached to her left wrist, and I was not able to pull the sleeve of her bolero off her arm for fear of hurting the paper tag. So, I just pulled her clothing up, down and to the side to show you as much of her body as I can. However, I have a lot more photos; if you wish to see a close up of a particular part of this doll, please let me know and I’ll show you. Cissy is wearing her aqua taffeta dress with cap sleeves and a drop waist, with a fitted bodice. It closes with four square original snaps in back. The dress has the Cissy tag sewn into the back neckline. She wears a black velvet bolero with pink rose corsage in front. Underneath she wears her original pink tulle and taffeta half slip. She has on nylon stockings with seams up the back, and her strappy black velvet high heel sandals / shoes. Cissy has her original black velvet headband type hat with attached flowers and black netting decorated with tiny pink flowers. The hat has a gold chin strap. She wears an aquamarine rhinestone ring on her right hand, and her original pearl earrings. There is a pearl elastic bracelet on her left hand but there are spaces without pears and it seems to me to not be original. The wrist tag is the charming “To all little girls” letter design from Madame Alexander. Cissy has aqua blue eyes that open and close as they should, and all her eyelashes. Her eyes match her dress pretty well! Her makeup is pretty and still quite vibrant. Her arms and head hold a pose. I don’t see any splits to the plastic or cracks. There is a little white scuff to her right way upper thigh. No chews or anything of that nature. Between the ring finger and little finger of her right hand is a little…. See close up photo; it looks like a factory thing, to the vinyl. Very small and I didn’t notice until I blew up the photos. The outfit is lovely but not perfect. I see some yellowing and spots on the dress; might soak out with Oxyclean or similar but I didn’t even think to try. No holes in the stockings, a modern miracle! Shoes fit nice and snug. The hat is darling but the net has several tears. The hat seems to be pinned down to her head so I did not try to remove it. Cissy is from a nonsmoking home.
