Thanks for stopping by! Vintage Madame Alexander pretty blonde Cissy doll. Her flaws are a small split right leg (photo #12) and some specks on her right wrist (photo #11) from clothing I believe. The split is very repairable. Not sure if the specks will come off, they might. Other than that she is a very nice and pretty girl. No other cracks other than mentioned above. Pretty blonde wig pretty much in original set with some fly aways. Some of the side curls are loose at the tips. Back does show some areas where the wig glue has gotten hot and bled through. Pretty clear blue eyes that open and close easily with full original lashes. Pretty original lip color without rubs or scratches. Here checks have been enhanced but it is not sealed! If you reflect her face in the light you can see a hint of’wavy’ in the plastic on the left cheek, it is factory! Arms are tightly strung, they are a decent color but not perfectly pink! Her head is a tad wobbly but poses fine. I assume it is the original band, so keep in mind it is probably dry. Most of the photos were taken in natural light to capture her color. These are used vintage items and usually show some degree of play wear. Please, always refer to photos as part of description. She wears a blue taffeta dress, with three rows of lace from the hemline up. Her dress has a white ribbon sash that ties in the back to form a bow. This is one gorgeous doll with flawless face, hair, and body. Wearing a tagged pink and white striped dress with slip, and unusual chemise underneath. Typical Cissy high heels. The dress is tagged as you can see in the picture. Her hat completes the outfit. Her hair looks to be in the original set. Bent knees, elbows, and looks like original jewelry. She would make a grand centerpiece in someone’s collection. She has been in a cabinet for years, and looks like she was never played with. I believe her dress is still in original condition as it feels like original crispness, especially the tag. If a dress has been laundered, then usually the tag would not retain the original stiffness. So there you have it, one gorgeous Cissy, wanting a new home! When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. This is the open mouth/smiling version. Brown Sleep eyes, she has her original Reddish brown MOHAIR wig. The outfit she is wearing is Expert seamstress and is adorable Mint condition. She has the matching hat and some white cotton undies. I have other beauties listed, so please take a look. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. The pictures are part of the description & support both the description and condition of the item. You have the option to use the magnification feature as well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was factory made. With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. The doll will not be over strung. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth.
