2008 Beth’s Travel Trunk Set. BETH & ALL FASHIONS & FINERY ONLY! … NO TRUNK or DRESSFORMS. Beth is adorned in a brown tricot trimmed dress that combines a white cotton waist with a pleated, brown check, tweed skirt is topped with a burgundy wool jacket that has black picot trim and a black belt. A black straw hat with a brown checked tweed band along with white pantaloons, nude tights and brown leather boots complete her first ensemble. A second outfit is a pretty antique ivory nightgown that has been trimmed with picot around the neck. Lastly, Beth’s 3rd fashion includes a dramatic black and pink cotton, floral print gown with matching sleeves that has a white collar inset at the bust and black tie at the neck, a full white petticoat and white pantaloons with a floral trim. A black velour corset, footless stockings and sleeve extenders are some “extras” that came inside the trunk for fashion variations. THE EXTRAS ARE NOT SHOWN in pics. NEW STOCK and DeBOXED. She has Maggie’s face. She has blue eyes, and wears her original blue taffeta, Her outfit is without holes or tears, however, it does have some stains, as is common when dolls are kept in boxes. Gorgeous, hard-to-find Madame Alexander Nurse Joanie from 1959. She is a 35 playpal companion doll, dressed in a quality-made reproduction outfit. Overall, she is in very good condition for her age, but she is not perfect, please see all photos. Hair is lovely, thick and full with no missing plugs. Clear blue flirty eyes that open and close as they should, long lashes intact. Lip and eyebrow paint looks good, no rubs. Her joints are firm and hold pose, and her walker works well. Back of her neck is marked Alexander 1959. She has quite a bit of fading and discoloration in several spots on torso and legs. Red discoloration looks like dye bleed from a prior outfit, and the fading looks like it was done when someone tried to clean it. She also has what looks like a prior repair on her left foot and heel – see photos. It does not interfere with her standing or walking. Most of her flaws are covered by her clothing. Her outfit is a custom-made reproduction that includes blue and white striped dress, embroidered apron, hat, can-can, and bloomers. There is a tiny light yellowish spot on the back of the dress collar see photos. It might come out with cleaning, but I did not attempt to clean her outfit; it is otherwise in excellent condition and I did not want to risk damaging it. Her socks and shoes are children’s wear in fair used condition. Shoes are a little bit too big for her, but she can still walk in them. Overall, a lovely display doll to add to your collection!
