Madame Alexander Dolls

Of the more rare Me & My Shadow series, Agatha is one of, if not the very most rare and hard to find doll in that series. She has a very ornate outfit. She wears a pink, tagged, taffeta gown with purple and yellow eyeloop trim, blue velvet forget-me-nots, gathers, flares, etc. It is fitted from the bodice to the hips, with gathers accentuating her hips, and very full gathered skirt. Stuffed bust (like the other me & my shadow and glamour girls), and there is a slight stretching on her right breast seam, though the long ribbon tends to fall over it naturally. In the back there is bow-like bustle, with wings that extend beneath and a LONG decorated train. The sleeves have ruffled tulle on the underside. The tulle is a little brittle with a section partially broken off on her left arm. Her bonnet is in lovely condition, with no breaks in the straw. It has a lovely pink moire ribbon weaving across the top with bows and tying in a bow under her chin. It has lovely blue and cream velvet forget-me-nots, and a couple perfect cabbage roses as well. She wears a very detailed light cream, taffeta under-slip, with ruffled tulle and trimmed edges. Her taffeta pantaloons with pink bows are in fantastic shape as well. Her original light cream stockings are still fitted to her legs and her purple velvet snap shoes are lovely as well. She has a pink taffeta “parasol”, and pink madame Alexander hat box. She has beautiful dark brown hair in smooth hairdo with curled under ends pinned sleekly in the back. She does have some vintage glue residue at the top of her forehead just past the edge of the wig. It can best be seen the photo of her laying down. Ive heard it can be removed, but I will let the new owner decide if they want to do something about it. She has blue eyes, bright pink lips, and two stroke brows. She has the lovely classic Cissy face so many love. Her box is in Ok condition. It has a slight bend on one side and has a little seam separation where the bottom meets the wall of the box. Overall she is a Lovely sample of an. RARE and hard to find doll. She comes from a smoke and pet free home, with no odors. This is a 14″, Vintage, Near Mint In box, Madame Alexander “Annabelle by Kate Smith with her wrist tag. She is simply adorable!! Her blonde hair is Shiny, smooth and in original set— with the sides pulled up with a hair bar and large original aqua Bow sitting on top. Her little Maggie face and coloring are fantastic. She wears a crisply tagged BRIGHT white dress with Peter Pan collar and white ric-rac trim. Her original, bright “Annabelle” sweater is in lovely condition as well, and closes in the back with square snaps. Her slip, panties and socks are still white as well. Her black, side-snap, patented leather shoes are so cute with still very fuzzy soles. Her box is still in decent shape. She comes from a pet-free and smoke-free home. She comes in her original tagged dress along with her original shoes and socks. Kathy’s face paint is beautiful, and her complexion is free of flaws. Her eyebrows are clearly defined, her eyelashes are good, and her eyes open and close although a bit sluggish. Her wig is in tact with the exception of the back of her neck where it looks like she may have originally had a hat attached?? She has one original bow on her pigtail. Her body is in great shape, but her stringing is a bit loose. Kathy’s tagged dress is in great shape. It has three snaps up the back, all intact. The sleeve elastic is stretched, but they remain puffed and display well. Her slip and underpants are not included. The tag at the top of the back neckline reads “Kathy” Madame Alexander New York USA. Her shoes and socks are in great condition. This is a lovely vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She is wearing a 1957 Opera Gown. Her tagged dress is a lace print on heavy faille fabric. It is in great unwashed condition. She wears her opera mitts, diamond ring, rhinestone bracelet and pearl necklace, and three tier diamond earrings. Her slip is pale blue, and has two slit repairs, as seen in photos. There are also a few other small tears in the slip but they don’t detract from her dress and fullness at all. She wears a replica fur stole, that completes her outfit. Her face is wonderful, freshly reblushed. She has a professionally done split repair inside her torso. She has great blue eyes and blonde hair. She also carries her matching purse. One of her very favorite party dresses, she loves to twirl in this beautiful taffeta strapless cocktail dress. A gorgeous green & red plaid with strokes of gold & silver threaded throughout, it’s a dress worthy of a grand Holiday gala. An attached black crinoline provides the flare… A black taffeta bow accents the waist at the left, and closure is at the back with two snaps. Underneath Cissy is wearing new taffeta lace-trimmed panties & vintage hosiery… She has slipped her feet into little black bow-trimmed sandals, and has chosen some pretty red rhinestone jewelry to accent her ensemble. Tying it all up with a sparkly lucite bag & a fabulous black fascinator, turn heads she does! Beautiful Cissy has lovely features & coloring; her blush has been refreshed. She has a wonderful thick auburn wig which features rolled bangs & falls in curls just above her shoulders. She had one small high hip (entirely inside her body cavity) separation which has been professionally repaired.
