This beautiful 8″ doll is “GLAMOUR GIRL PICNIC DAY #64085, made exclusively for the 2011 Madame Alexander Doll Club Convention in Atlanta, GA. She was the souvenir doll for the “20+ Event”, only available to those who had been MADC members for 20 or more years. She wears a lovely pink floral print dress with ruffled hem, white ruffled tulle slip, white tights and brown & white shoes. She also has her natural straw hat trimmed with flowers. The hat is still sealed in the little plastic bag attached to her box. It feels like there is possibly something else in the bag under the hat ribbons, but I cannot tell and don’t want to open it since it’s still factory sealed. Lovely doll with brown eyes, rosey cheeks and dark red (auburn) curly hair. She is also a Total Moves Wendy with jointed elbows & knees and a swivel waist for greater poseability. GLAMOUR GIRL PICNIC DAY is #53 in a Limited Edition of only 110 dolls and comes Mint-in-Box with her wrist tag and Certificate of Authenticity. She has never been removed from her box or displayed. Cissy Walks Her Dog.. Out for a stroll in the crisp afternoon air, Cissy and Dusty, her cute Cocker Spaniel, are really enjoying each other’s company. Cissy is wearing beautiful camel wool slacks paired with an oh-so-soft baby pink cashmere sweater set; the under-sweater is actually a halter that closes with square snaps at the neck & waist, the outer sweater a cardigan which buttons down the front. Cissy wears vintage black sandals with pink soles, a lovely faux pearl jewelry set which includes a matching necklace, bracelet & earrings, and her ever-present “diamond” ring. She’s carrying a vintage black & gold dot handbag, just the right “statement accessory, ” and of course Dusty is included – she is a vintage original Steiff Cocker, with original collar, tag & ear button. Cissy is gorgeous, with beautiful features & coloring. Her blush has been lightly refreshed. She has an extra-long honey blonde wig with curls at the crown as well as stacked at the shoulders. With beautifully clear blue eyes & full lashes, and no splits, cracks or odors.. SHE’S PRETTY PERFECT.
