18 MADAME ALEXANDER Hard Plastic DOLL. Margaret O’Brien child celebrity. Restoration information is in the text Below. When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, Finish is satiny, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. MARGARET O’BRIEN Madame Alexander doll Child actress contemporary of Judy Garland and Others. She has Clear sleep eyes, Her Mohair wig is in loop braids and is in great shape. Her Pink jumper with ric rac is original. The lace blouse and panty combo are vintage replacement. The Coat set was obviously made for her and is of her day. This set has the muff, hat & bag with forget-me-nots adorned on the pieces. All pieces are Vintage and while having a old look are in pretty nice shape. Good vintage shoes and socks. These girls have the prettiest faces. More beauties listed, so please take a look. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. The pictures are part of the description & support both the description and condition of the item. You have the option to use the magnification feature as well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was factory made (not what a 80 year old faded doll looks like). With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. Their imperfections are part of the charm of composition. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I line the head socket with suede. I have been a skilled Artist all my life. VINTAGE & RARE MADAME ALEXANDER COCO DOLL – LISSY – MADE IN 1966 ONLY. This is a very hard to find doll. Shes in nice condition but the prior owner smoked so there is a odor when you put your nose up to her. This will air out over time if you are a smoke free home. She could use a little cleaning. Her face still has nice blush. There a few spots here and there. The dress does show yellowing to the bodice. It does have the tag. There is some soiling to underside of bodice (as seen in last two photos). The attached slip is yellowed from age and has a few stains. The pink crinoline is still stiff and really fills out the pleated tulle skirt. The elastic waistband was stretched and the crinoline kept falling down so I added some elastic thread to tighten it. It now stays up. I did not notice any damage to pleated tulle skirt. She has her original undies which have some brown spots, stockings and very hard to find shoes. One bow fell off one shoe and I glued it back in place. Shoes show yellowing and wear from age. Her jewelry consists of rhinestone earrings and a bracelet. Her hair is still in the original set and in very nice condition. Comes from pet free home. Whether out to lunch with her girlfriends or tending to her garden, Cissy always seems ready for the camera! She’s wearing beautiful floral cotton. This is a very cute strapless dress, and it has lace trim at the top of the bodice, a black satin bow at center, and it closes at the back with two snaps. Underneath an attached crinoline gives the dress the fullness it needs, and Cissy is wearing ivory lace-trimmed panties, vintage hosiery & vintage black sandals. It’s waist length & fits her perfectly, and it has lovely beadwork at the neckline. She’s wearing her large “diamond” ring, has accessorized with black rhinestones… Teardrop earrings & a matching bracelet, and her “headband” and handbag each have floral bouquets, tying everything up in a beautiful bow! You don’t have to look too long to know that this Cissy is. Her gorgeous thick, auburn hair has curls at the crown and also at shoulder length. She had one high hip split which has been professionally repaired. Her features are lovely, her blush has been very lightly refreshed. She has beautiful clear blue eyes with a sprinkle of gold with full lashes, and no splits cracks or odors. She will come to you with a replicated vintage hang tag. Rare Vintage Madame Alexander – Easter Bunny – made in 1991 can you believe 27 yrs ago! Exclusively for A Child at Heart. She is Limited, Numbered Edition – number 2,922 out of 3,000. She reminds me of the 1950′s Wendy-Kins. One of the cutest “Easter Bunnies” around! This little girl has blonde hair and brown eyes and is 8 tall, made of hard plastic. She is wearing a light “Alexander” pink & white gingham romper, white socks and matching pink gingham shoes. The back of the romper is adorned with a fluffy Bunny tail. She also wears a hat complete with Bunny ears! If you look closely in the photos, you will see the elastic for the hat is as it came from the factory and the hat has never been removed, it has stretched out a little bit and there a slight discoloration where the elastic is sewn to the hat on each side, I didn’t notice it till I took the photos. In her right hand she is carrying her yellow Easter basket which is in the shape of an egg. The basket is made of metal with a fish-net pattern and filled with pink paper Easter grass, 2 decorated eggs and a fluffy yellow chick. The left arm is a little looser as it seems the rubber band may have stretched due to the weight of the basket. All bows are factory tied, eyes move freely and arms & legs are in tact. Overall, she is is great shape and comes with original box, tag and custom doll stand. Included is a custom designed doll stand by Ann Rast, Once Upon a Stand. In the 1990′s Ms. Rast designed and made custom doll stands for many Madame Alexander dolls, frequently using the same fabrics and decorations as the dolls making them very sought after and collectible. I have here a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander 20 Cissy doll in excellent condition. Cissy has no cracks, splits or bad odors. She is hard plastic with poseable jointed vinyl arms and stands alone once positioned. Cissy has sleep eyes which open and close on their own with full upper lashes although some of her lashes appear to be shorter than the others? She has rosy red lips and blushed cheeks. Beautiful wig/hair with lots of curl. Cissy wears an Rare & HTF “untagged” vintage outfit of black velvet pants which snap at waist & lace blouse with rhinestone buttons. The outfit is in excellent condition with the exception of the pink sash which has a small stain or discoloring on the end(see last picture). She wears stockings with seams in back, taffeta panties and replaced heels. She wears a vintage rhinestone ring on her finger and I’ve included two(2)vintage Cissy hats. The pale pink hat has a defect on the back rim of hat(see picture) and the black velvet hat doesn’t have a chin strap. Both hats are also untagged and in very good condition.
