Up for sale is a darling 1955 Madame Alexander-kins Doll dressed in a kins outfit. She is SLW Kins which means she is a straight leg walker. She is in excellent condition with original blonde triple stitched wig in original set, natural coloring with brown brows, green gray eyes that open and close freely, under lashes, pink cheeks and red lips. Her body is in excellent condition with arms that will hold a pose and walker works. Wendy is wearing a tagged Alex-kins cotton dress, matching pinafore, matching undies, kins fuzzy bottom blue shoes and rayon socks with cute hat. Outfit is in excellent condition, all set to display. 1940′s 14 COMPOSITION TAGGED MARGARET ROSE IN YELLOW. A/ORG DRESS MARKED ALEX. 14 TAGGED COMPOSITION MARGARET ROSE IN YELLOW NYLON CHIFFON DRESS. She has a mohair ash blond wig that is mostly in original set. With a few curls that could be re-arranged. She has painted brows, smoky eye shadow, and clear blue eyes. All of her eyelashes are thick and present…. She has coral colored lipstick. The doll is tagged Margaret Rose, although in tact, It is worn. The dress is just beautiful so full and just like new. Great elastic in the sleeves and all the lace is present. She has yellow satin panties and attached yellow matching scalloped edge slip. She wears rayon thigh high stockings. Black shiny shoes with bows on the toes that look to be in perfect condition. Soles, snaps and heels all good. Her Original hat is lovely. Ties under the chin with yellow ribbon that matches. The ribbon trim on the hat and waist. The hat, waist trim and flower at the hem are all original flowers. She is in great condition for her age. No smells are marks or stains. I can’t see any crazing on her face, arms or legs. I planned to keep her and now because of medical bills having to part with her. She will be insured and signature required when received. This is the “Child’s Dream Comes True” series. Her dress, crinoline, panties, stockings and floral crown are original. I have added flowers from a 1956 Alexander hat to fill in her floral crown. I made her silver bracelet and her fan from a vintage jewelry finding. She wears vintage shoes that have had the elastic replaced. She wears a vintage “diamond” ring and I have replaced her missing “diamond” earrings. She will come with a replica of the 1955 Alexander tag. The dress is in very good shape, just some small rubs to the fabric. Elastic is stretched on her panties. Elastic has been replaced on her crinoline. Floral crown is faded but lovely. No stains on her clothing at all. Three rhinestones on her dress have darkened with age. The doll herself is in very good condition. Lashes are full and perfect. Hair still in hairnet with metal bar. Tiny scratches on her left upper thigh below the joint as shown. No splits or cracks at all. Ask any questions you may have. This is a wonderful example of this doll!
