Madame Alexander Dolls

Here we have a beautiful and elegant Cissy doll in very good condition. She has gorgeous matte complexion with blushed cheeks and red lips. Her dark shiny hair is in its original style with upswept sides. Her eyes are clear with no missing lashes. No tears, cracks or splits on her body. There are a few minor rub marks around her neck area and a few slight ones on the inside of her thighs where they connect to her body. She comes wearing an original tagged navy blue taffeta dress with matching bolero jacket, new crinoline, original panties, replacement high heel shoes and hose. Her dress and jacket are in very nice condition. I see no tears, holes or stains. Her marvelous vintage hat is lovely. It’s decorated with cabbage roses, red cherries and netting. She also comes with a pretty vintage rhinestone ring and beautiful blue teardrop earrings. Cissy even comes with her own little Lucite purse containing a tiny framed photo of her and pretty lilac flowers as shown in the next to last picture. Her head tends to bob a little and occasionally it may be necessary to gently shake her pretty head in order for her eyes to open. But s he holds poses nicely and displays beautifully! Please note that some earrings don’t fit her ears well. The ones she’s wearing fit perfectly. The pictures are part of the description so please look at them carefully. Madame Alexander JANE WITHERS smiling open mouth Version all Composition. Made after the child actress. She was a contemporary of Shirley Temple. Restoration information is in the description Below. Make sure to read it as the information explains the details. When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. This little girl has clear brown FLIRTY eyes. She is 17 which seems to be a harder to find size? Very nice brunette mohair wig still has pins in the curls and the barrettes. Her clothing is Vintage 40′s era factory dress, coat & hat set. Very cute and in very nice shape. Cotton floral dress with Organdy trim collar and pockets. Not original, but appropriate for her. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. The pictures are part of the description & support both the description and condition of the item. You have the option to use the magnification feature as well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was Mint. With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. The doll will not be over strung too tightly. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I have been a skilled Artist all my life. My attention to detail of the painted features is expert.
