Madame Alexander Dolls

This is Scarlett O’Hara by Madame Alexander, circa 1940′s. She is all composition and stands approx. This doll is in very nice and original condition with original tagged clothing. Her wig is very nice with original barrettes. Her face is shiny and clean. There is light crazing on her face. Her eyes open and close and are cloudy. The eyelashes are uneven on both eyes and the right eye is missing some lashes (see photo). Her body and limbs are nice with no cracks, breaks or scuffs. There is very light crazing. Her upper right thigh has a deeper craze mark (see photo). She is well strung with no odors. Her original hat is faded and the lace on the back is torn. Her coat is lightly faded and missing two snaps on the front and there is a small stain on the front, otherwise very nice. On the inside, are a few scattered light stains. Her tagged dress is in good condition. There is a repair around the waist (see photo). There are a couple of small pinholes. Her slip is clean and in nice condition. Her pantaloons are nice and a little stretched out at the waist. I do not believe that her shoes are original. Really a nice Scarlett OHara. MADAME ALEXANDER HARD PLASTIC BRIDE DOLL. With Jewels On Wedding Dress. All Original – Circa: 1950′S. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. What a stunning bride. She is a hard plastic (1950′s) Madame Alexander bride doll. She is 18 inches tall. She is dressed in her tagged lace trimmed original bride dress. The dress is silk, satin, and rayon. The dress has a sewn in skirt and she has her original lace trimmed panties. She has her original silk stockings but only one of her original shoes. There are 18 jewels in the front of her dress. Notice the Madame Alexander, New York tag on the back of her dress. Her styled hair is a honey brown. She has a silk floral hair piece and carries an original silk floral bouquet. She has hazel color sleep eyes with 100% of the eye lashes still on. Her facial painting is wonderful. There are no flaws or repainting as examined by a black light. Her fingers are all there. I think she had a necklace at one point because there are some marks on her necks where a necklace would have been. I do not have the box. From our home to yours. This is a lovely 1960 Madame Alexander Godey Elise doll. She wears her original tagged one-piece dress of apricot velvet and pleated taffeta that shows a little shelf dust and overall age but is still quite nice looking, original slip, panties, and shoes. Original hat has beautifully replaced vintage flowers. Watch fob pinned at the waist. Freshly blushed cheeks, no seam splits. A lovely beautiful example of a hard-to-find doll. Unbelievably rare and impossible to find Vintage Scarlett OHara Composition, Madame Alexander Doll, circa 1937. This unique doll is sure to delight every Gone With The Wind fan and Madame Alexander collector! Based on the Wendy Ann doll, she stands 20 tall with her tight, human hair curls in great shape on her beautiful head. The bonnet atop her head is in perfect shape, with a beautiful green, satin ribbon. Her face is suntan with rosy cheeks, her eyes a gorgeous hazel/green, and her lips a rosy red. Her dress is the softest cotton with green polka dots and green satin ribbon detail. Her pantaloons even have green ribbon detail. Her little leatherette shoes are in perfect condition. This Scarlett is special as she is TAGGED in the back on her dress AND she still has her ORIGINAL TAG on her wrist AND her ORIGINAL BOX!! She is a treasure and a wonderful addition to any collectors shelf. Time has gotten to her face, as her eyes show some wear, and she has a few cracks on her face. Her head is slightly loose, but is easily positioned. She is, after all, over 80 years old. I, personally, have an extensive Madame Alexander collection and every time I see this box my heart leaps because I know just how special she is. Ask any questions, look at photos closely. 13 composition Jane Withers doll by Madame Alexander. Marked on back of head Jane Withers Alexander Doll. Single stroke brown eyebrows. Painted black lower lashes. The eyes are crazed, see photo. Few very faint craze lines , see photo. No chipping or flaking. Small chip of composition missing on right neck flange, see photo. Don’t see when heads on right. Fingers and toes intact. Wig is probably a replacement, light brown mohair. Clothes are not original but appropriate. Dress, half slip, panties. Shoes look original, very frail, right shoe is coming apart in back and wear areas. Not sure if socks are originals. I have tried to describe what I see, if I have left something out, ask. Collectors use your own judgement, some of you are experts on these old dolls, I’m no expert! Vintage Madame Alexander 11.5 Brenda Starr doll with original outfit and box! Brenda is in very good condition, her dress is nice but has a few small stains on back which may come out in washing.
