Here is a gorgeous vintage 14 Polly Pigtails. She is super clean. Are in excellent condition. Except for her shoes. They are missing the bows. She is all original. Has no bad or sour odor. Eye will only close halfway and her right eye will. Not close as all. Theyre not completely stuck. Because they will move a little bit. Wont close all the way. We are a smoke free home. Beautiful doll, original gown, panties, hose, MA lavender shoes and faux pearl necklace. Her original earrings have some darkened rhinestones, but they are all there. I believe that her hair is in the original elaborate, tight set with the original velvet lavender bow. No splits in the doll body or legs. She is the strung doll and she is a little loose in her stringing. There are some splits shown in the photos in her fragile gown and her organdy petticoat. I included photos with my hand and without so you can see they easily disappear in the folds of the full tulle gown. Her facial color has darkened slightly. Beautiful false eyelashes over original brush lashes. Pretty clear blue eyes. She has the long slender one piece arms. The white petticoat and the stand shown are not included in this sale. She has her original lavender organdy petticoat. There are examples of this 1960 rare doll on page 21 of the book, The Cissy Files by Kiley Shaw. Her gown as two layers of very light organdy tulle that have faded slightly toward the bottom. The soft white and pink flowers are all intact. I package carefully and respectfully as she deserves so that her gown is not damaged and she arrives safely to you. She will be sent insured with signature required. This girl has a beautiful face! She is a painted Cissy with brunette casual hair and bright blue eyes. She has a tiny tub on the end of her nose and she is missing some lashes on her right eye. She has no splits or cracks. Cissy wears a tagged Alexander skirt that is absolutely pristine mint. With the skirt she wears a replica black knit top with a snowflake pin. She has original hose (with some holes) and vintage black shoes with red insoles. The shoe elastic is slightly stretched, but they do stay on. She is missing her slip but has vintage panties. Her hat is artist-made for this outfit. This outfit was a boxed extra from 1958 and is shown on page 106 of Shaws The Cissy Files. She is in excellent condition with original blonde triple stitched wig in original set, bright natural coloring with brown brows, blue eyes that open and close freely, black under lashes, rosy pink cheeks and red lips no rubs. Her body is in excellent condition with arms that will hold a pose and walker works. All Original 1939 New York World’s Fair 14 tall Miss America from Madame Alexander. She has the Betty face, which was very popular at the time. She is complete with her hat, original flag which is so fragile and her World Fair 1939 red, white and blue metal tag. She is dressed in her red and white stripped dress which has not faded in the least and her navy blue belt completes the dress. Under the dress is her nylon slip trimmed in lace. Her auburn mohair wig is in its original curled set with the barretts on either side of her head. This is one the rarest all original dolls in my collection. I have kept her all my life as I was born in this year and was given her as a gift by my grandmother. We are a non smoking home. She will make a special. Addition to any doll collection.
