- So Rare to have with the Wrist Tag! Vintage Southern Belle BKW from 1956. Madame Alexander Doll – 8 in. This little doll is so beautiful in her gorgeous outfit. On one wrist she has her Wendy wrist tag and on the other she carries her little magenta pink velveteen drawstring evening bag on a silver handle. She has blonde hair fixed in the perfect little set with curls all around. On top she wears a little purple straw hat – adorned with little pink flowers in two shades of pink and also has delicate netting over her face; this stays on with a little gold elastic band. She wears a crispy full length gown in pink taffeta – this features a bustle in the back; underneath the skirt she wears a crinoline and a white eyelet slip, white pantaloons with picot edging, cuffed white socks and magenta pink shoes – side snap – fuzzy bottom. With pink roses in her luxurious Brown hair and bouquet, and a movie star beautiful Margaret face, this stunning Princess Margaret Rose is a knockout in this 14 size. The gown, fashioned from yards of the finest silk organza, is the most beautiful shade of deep pink with a Madame Alexander tag attached. Trimmed with a silver braid at the hem. Delicate jewelry includes a refined beaded necklace and crystal drop at the center of the sweetheart neckline. A clover wrist tag is included. The golden era of the Alexander Doll Company was in full swing at this point in time. The company was working on all cylinders and had recently moved to their new factory building in Harlem. Department stores and retailers vied with each other for exclusives that they could claim as their own. This might help explain some of the rare and difficult to find color combinations dolls like this occasionally show up. This gorgeous doll was obviously an exclusive from a department store because this is the original box she came in. I have never seen a Bridesmaid doll in a traditional blue Madame Alexander box, and this is the reason. The woman I received this doll from was the original owner of her. She never played with her and for that, Princess Margaret looks like she was kept in a time machine! Her dress is still crisp! As is the elastic on her panties and her stockings are still tight! NOTHING is faded or rotted. Her coloring is SUPERB, as is everything else about her!! Every detail was thought of with this beauty… Even a hand sewn pearl bead in one of her curls. All over excellence with no distracting defects. Clean and ready to display. She is the older of the sister doll Binnie and has the same face as Cissy doll. You can tell she is a Winnie by her unjointed elbows and knees and her hair is a wig not a wig cap and also because she is a walker. All hard plastic arms and legs and head with a consistent light skin tone throughout. Hair wig is in its original style with two original string tiebacks on top. She is marked “Alexander” on the back of her neck. This Winnie is a walker and the walker works perfectly with her head moving side to side when you move her legs. Winnie is wearing a white chiffon dress with a sewn in nylon under slip. It appears to be factory made with a white washed out tag sewn on the back of her dress at the neck line. I do not smoke. We have a smoke free, pet free home. Here for your consideration is a wonderful composition doll by Madame Alexander. This is the very RARE RED HEAD Nurse for the Dionne Quintuplets. She is full body composition. I measure her at 13 inches tall and that is what the book says, as well. She has the “Betty” face. She is all original and will come to you in her original Box! She has beautiful sleep eyes. She is missing lashes from her left eye. She is all original and in beautiful condition. I do not see a tag, but that is not unusual with dolls of this age. It is very obvious she is in her original outfit. She is also wearing her original shoes and socks. Please note she even still has her Nurse’s Cap! She is in beautiful condition and I see nothing wrong with her. Her face paint, eyebrows, lower lashes and lips are absolutely beautiful. I just realized that there is a tiny hole in the back of her top (I just checked and it is visible in the picture) and the little safety pin that is supposed to fasten the back of her skirt is missing. That is an easy fix. Please view the pictures carefully, as they are part of the description. I could miss something that is important to you. I have a smoke free, pet free home. This girl has a beautiful face! She is a painted Cissy with brunette casual hair and bright blue eyes. She has a tiny tub on the end of her nose and she is missing some lashes on her right eye. She has no splits or cracks. Cissy wears a tagged Alexander skirt that is absolutely pristine mint. With the skirt she wears a replica black knit top with a snowflake pin. She has original hose (with some holes) and vintage black shoes with red insoles. The shoe elastic is slightly stretched, but they do stay on. She is missing her slip but has vintage panties. Her hat is artist-made for this outfit. This outfit was a boxed extra from 1958 and is shown on page 106 of Shaws The Cissy Files.
