MADAME ALEXANDER 21 CISSY 1923 DOLL 66540 VHTF! 48/125 W CHILDREN & FUR STOLE. Up for sale is a very hard to find Madame Alexander 21 Cissy 1923 doll, model 66540. She is numbered 48 out of only 125 pieces made! She is a beautiful doll and comes with her fur stole and children. Her certificate and box are included. The box has a crease on one corner. She also comes with her original shipper. I will be putting everything inside of another box as well. I did find 4 loose beads in the box and a loose thread as shown in the last two photos. I only found the 8 tube beads (I found another after taking the photo). I did not find a round bead for the bottom of the strand. Her left elbow is swingy. If you have any questions, please ask. Madame Alexander “Dance Hall Turquoise” Cissy was the souvenir piece for the 2004 MADCC Cissy event. She has gorgeous tousled red curls and blue eyes. She was produced in several different costume colors including green, purple, blue and red. Aside from the draped waist sash, they were identical. Our dance hall beauty is wearing a short purple taffeta dress edged with beautiful floral trim around the waist and neckline and pretty ivory lace insets on the bodice and green sash draped around her waist and falling in a train down both sides. Her outfit also includes black fishnet tights; black heeled lace-up boots; a garter worn around her thigh that match the floral trim on her bodice; jeweled and peacock feather plumed headpiece with comb and fan. She is a Limited editon of 77 pieces and is number 24. Cissette is 136 of 200 pieces made. Both come with their hang tags and COA’s in their original boxes. I do not know if anything was ever displayed. When I got the Cissys they went into storage and same with the Cissette. Most of the original items were in the trunk, including this signature “Cissy Takes a Trip” outfit. The outfit includes the houndstooth skirt, white shirt, tagged black jacket, red cotton slip and hat. Note that the material on the edges of the sleeve opening of the shirt are a variation as they are NOT edged in lace. CONDITION: The outfit appears to have been well taken care of by the original owner and is in nice condition overall. Some wrinkling from storage. The hat may need a bit of re-shaping and the chin strap has lost much of it’s original stretchiness. There is maybe just a touch of general soil on the top and jacket and, if you look closely, there’s just a tiny bit of faint color transfer on the right side of the collar of the top (most likely from the original red bow tie which is no longer present). There is a small mend to a side seam of the jacket. The skirt and slip both look very nice. Waistbands still have stretchiness. I’ve been questioned about the flowers on the hat. All I can say is they’re the flowers that were on the hat when I acquired it and I have no reason to think they are not original. If they vary from what is commonly recognized for this outfit, please remember that, as mentioned above, the edges of the sleeves of the shirt are also a variation. Madame Alexander DID have variations in her clothing and accessories. In my opinion, if the flowers are different from what is commonly found, then they’re a variation, not a replacement. Most of the original items were in the trunk, including this harder to find “Bittersweet” sun dress. The dress is tagged and closes with 3 buttons in back. Note that the 3 buttons are a variation of the more commonly found 5 buttons. CONDITION: The dress appears to have been well taken care of by the original owner. The bottom button has been replaced. The dress is in nice condition overall, though does have some wrinkling from storage and maybe just a bit of light soil around the arm openings. Cleaning may be necessary or desired. Vintage 1930s 13 Swivel Waist Composition Alexander Sonja Henie Doll in Tagged Feather Costume. Here is a sweet Nineteen-thirties Madame Alexander Sonja Henie doll made in the image of the outstanding athlete. This composition doll is in very nice condition – having a tagged costume, all her fingers, light blushing and a lovely human hair wig. Sonja Henie was a Norwegian born. Three-time Olympic Champion (1928, 1932, 1936). In Ladies’ Singles, a ten-time World Champion. (19271936) and a six-time European Champion. Henie won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies’ figure skater. At the height of her acting career, she was one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood. And starred in a series of box-office hits. If you want to be amazed, watch a YouTube video of Sonja doing spins on the ice – it seems like she can spin forever! She is 13 tall, all composition and marked Wendy Ann on her back. She is strung moderately tight so she can hold a pose but does better on a stand. She has working, clear, brown sleep eyes with thick lashes, nice painted lower lashes, single stroke eyebrows, light grey eye shadow and lightly blushed cheeks and body. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist and hips. She is wearing a tagged grey sateen skating dress trimmed in replaced real feathers, matching grey/blue sateen panties and original MA ice skates. Good, lightly played with condition. Has clear, working sleep eyes with all brush lashes. Nicely painted facial features. Open mouth with six upper teeth. Missing a few dots of lip paint. Wig is thick, human hair, with barrettes and possibly the original set. No broken or repaired fingers. Skin tone is even and clean. Has some paint wear at all joints. Light crazing, no chips or lifting. Most of the lines in her face are hairs. But if you really magnify the pics you can see the lighter lines which are crazing. Has a crack on the side of one eye and one coming down from the same eye. Some cracks on her upper thighs. Clothing is all in good condition, has working snaps but the feathers were replaced and are shedding BADLY. The tag is present but illegible. Skating pants are more blue color – probably because the skating dress was washed and has faded. Flowers on dress and in hair look original. 21 Alexander Cissy Peony & Butterfly Wedding Gown Mint With Box and COA #284/2500 From 1997. This beautiful redhead Cissy wears an incredible pink and white check China silk gown with beading and pearl embellishment, billowing trim decorated with pink butterflies. She carries a bouquet of peonies, wears a gold and pearl necklace with matching earrings, her veil is topped with pink and yellow buterflies. She has her box and COA #284/2500. Gorgeous Original Vintage Madame Alexander redhead Cissy doll in rare yellow waffle top tagged Cissy Shopping outfit from 1956. Replaced hat, bag and stockings with original Madame Alexander gold heels. One heel has a broken strap. Her outfit looks to be in excellent condition. Her hair has some fly aways but all original with the metal bar still attached. Her makeup is all original. Her eyes are bright blue but missing lashes. She has earring holes. She has no splits on her knees, but does have a very small split high up on her right leg into the hip. Her bust has scratches and her legs have the common paint loss at the hip joints as well as splotchy coloring on her legs. All this is hidden by her outfit and her body is in otherwise good condition. My dolls are all around 50-80 years old. I consider them TLC and some are in better condition than others. I try to mention anything I see, but please read the description and look at the pictures.
