Madame Alexander Dolls

Here’s a gorgeous and not often seen Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. She’s a 1961 Scarlett O’Hara Cissy from the Madame Alexander Portrait series. She comes wearing her original powder blue taffeta dress with jacket and matching bonnet. She has all of her original jewelry and accessories which include rhinestone earrings, rhinestone ring, rhinestone cameo necklace, rhinestone pocket watch pin, long black lace fingerless gloves and black velvet purse with sequins. She also comes with original panties and original petticoat/crinoline. Her high heel shoes and stockings are replacements. Her clothes are in very good condition. The only thing I see is a small stain at the top on the back of her panties near the elastic band and 2 tiny spots on the back of her skirt which are hidden in the folds of skirt. Hat and crinoline are in very nice condition. The tag is missing from her dress but it is an original outfit as seen in the last photo taken from the Cissy Files book, page 22. This doll has an enchanting face with beautiful complexion, blushed cheeks, and red lips. Her blue eyes open and close and all of her lashes are intact. Her pretty dark brown wig is in excellent condition and in its original style with upswept sides. She is a no-neck Cissy with the slender non-jointed arms. Her arms are strung perfectly, however, her head and legs are very loosely strung. Her body is in excellent condition except for a tiny crack at the very top of her right thigh which is hidden inside her torso. Her leg must be pulled out to see this. If you would like a picture of it please let me know. Her earrings were somewhat lose, therefore, I applied a little bit of glue to each post in order to secure them. Please note that in the nude picture of the doll there appears to be some darkness on her right leg. These are not marks. They are just shadows caused by the lighting and my camera. Vintage Madame Alexander 18 Scarlett O’Hara Doll, Original Gown & Dress Tag. A very pretty 18 vintage jointed composition Madame Alexander Scarlett O’Hara doll. Original dotted Swiss gown with sewn in hoop petticoat, shirred bodice, black velvet ribbon accents. Sleep eyes, all lashes present. I believe the Lace trimmed bloomers are replaced. Side snap shoes & socks look original. Retains Madame Alexander dress tag “Scarlett O’Hara”. Composition is smooth throughout, some paint wear at joints, knee blush is intact. Gown shows fading, mostly in back, some in front and sleeves – please enlarge photos to see fading, needs minor mending at neckline. Face is very smooth, but pale, could use some blush – hair is in original set with barrettes, dry & could use some conditioning. She holds a pose but is a little loose. Right shoe missing heel.
