Madame Alexander Dolls

She is clean and has no odors, stains, or chews. She has a gorgeous face and lovely eyes, but she has a few issues. Her wig has been retied up on the sides at one time. The hair on the front of the wig and in the side tie ups is very stiff and cannot be recombed or restyled. I believe this was because she had a break in her wig center seam and someone sprayed it to prevent hair loss. Some separation of the wig at the temples. The top knot and the back of the hair are not sprayed and I have combed it back into curls. She has new blush added. But all other face makeup is original. Her eyes are original and have full lashes. She has nice arms with no rips in the sockets. Body is also very nice with little joint rub. She has had a repair to the bottom of the right leg. Restrung lower leg, as the original metal spring was broken. It is a nice repair, but it is not as tight as the metal spring was. It is floppy however. Small surface hairline opening in the top surface of the inside of that same knee. It does not go through, and in my opinion is very stable. Not a perfect doll by any means, but with a crown or a hat on her wig issues could be concealed, and she poses very nice. She has earring holes. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. This beautiful Madame Alexander 8 doll is a Wendy Dressed for the Maypole Dance or Wendy Dances Around the Maypole. She is a hard-plastic straight leg walker doll from 1955 and the outfit is numbered 458. Wendy is dressed in a very light blue taffeta dress with a tiny lace trimmed organdy yolk and lace frills sewn under the hemline. A perfect coronet of rosettes on her head gives this outfit a festive flare. Wendy wears a cotton slip and matching pantaloons. Her terrific shoes have fuzzy bottoms. What a lovely doll!
