Madame Alexander Dolls

Circa 1954 very hard to find Sweet Violet. She is wearing her original outfit which is tagged. Her organdy dress is aged and some of her flowers may be replacements but vintage. Elastic in sleeves relaxed. Her pink taffeta slip and panties, rayon socks and purple velvet center snap shoes are in great shape. Her original hat is a gold taffeta with straw edge and has both original ribbon as well as a replaced vintage ribbon. Some flowers may also be replaced. This rare doll has jointed elbows and knees and wrists and is a walker (this body was used for the Madeline doll) her head is a Cissy head with vivid deep blue/purple eyes. Walker works very well. Original coloring is good. Some aging on plastic. Could probably use freshening. I have enjoyed her for many years, now its time for another collector to enjoy her. Vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part blonde wig, in original style. Tagged 2 piece pink and white stripe dress. Straw hat with velvet and flocked flowers. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part golden blonde hair in the original style, tied on the sides, curls in the back, has the original metal. Which is tarnished, still has the original gold metallic tie in the back. Sparkling amber sleep eyes that open and closes with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with pearl drop earrings. There are a few light finish rubs in the joints and the neck under the head. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing her original tagged two piece pink and white striped. The skirt is a full circle, snaps in the back, the blouse is tailored with a collar and lace trim down the front, white buttons, puff sleeves. Underneath she has a hoop skirt. Taffeta panties and white vinyl high heels. The hat is fabulous, white straw pinned up on one side, pink velvet ribbon band with velvet and flocked flower trim. The clothing is all in excellent. Condition, no notable damage, it may have some minor age related flaws. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only, no stand. Once in a while you gaze upon that heart stopping, drop dead gorgeous Cissy and here’s the real deal! Minty lusciousness from head to toe! If you’ve been dreaming of that elusive, quintessential Cissy, this is it! She’s the rarer, blue eyed brunette that is very hard to find in this condition? Her rich brunette hair, in it’s original set, is the iconic Cissy updo with straight bangs, top knot in curls, which cascades to a gathering of low curls at the nape of her neck. Her sparkly, clear blue eyes still have her perfect original lashes. Her creamy complexion, with original, high color blush, eye shadow, and satiny red lips, is artfully painted!! Her stringing is perfect for posing beautifully in any outfit you desire. She can even stand by herself with attends in the air if you balance her just right! Her arm and body color still match beautifully, so she can wear those revealing outfits without a problem. She’ll come to you in her favorite red lace teddy, original MA seamed stockings and vintage red high heeled sandals. Oh, and let’s not forget her flirty little boa!! She’s had a very small inside knee split, as well as tiny splits in her leg sockets discreetly repaired, that you wouldn’t see unless you pull her leg out. She has some typical crotch and neck rubs, but I’m picking nits here. She’s just a beautiful, hard to find doll! None of this stops her from rocking this teddy! Please note both arms are the same color and match her body pretty closely, it’s just photograph lighting that makes one appear darker. Pin Up Cissy – LE85 exclusively for the 2010 MADCC – 21 fully articulated Cissy. Gorgeous blonde, blue-eyed showgirl in extravagant sequined and beaded costume. Her black gloves were not lined, so she has blackening on her arms. Long sleeves or gloves will cover it, or you can keep her in her original costume. Lovely, Madame Alexander 14 hard plastic walker bride doll ca 1954 with the enchanting Margaret face. All original and in very good condition, no cracks or repairs to the hard plastic. All fingers and toes accounted for. She does have a rub on her nose and I think it is paint under her eyes? Body has some age discoloration to it, see pics. Her dress was filthy and smelly when I brought her home recently so I washed it out in cold water with a little Woolite, much cleaner but still faded in color. Veil has a few tears in it but is still wonderful. She is a great cabinet sized doll to add to your collection. This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, protective sealant applied and her wig cleaned and put back into its original style. She has no odors, stains, splits or cracks. She had a small hairline split on topof the right leg filled in. There is a small bit of vinyl missing on the inside bottom of the right arm as it goes in the socket. She is newly restrung to head and arms. She has blue eyes with original lashes. She has no earring holes. This was a Basic Cissy. They did not have earring holes. She has normal inner thigh rubs and very little neck rub. Her wig is clean and full. The heels have sparkles in them. They are just so pretty!! This Cissy is ready for display in whatever you might like to dress her in, she can handle it all! Note: Because there are so many people doing repairs on these lovely dolls and I have been asked many questions, I would like to clarify a bit of the work I do. I have had training in plastic and composition repairs and have been doing them for many years. My spa treatments are done with solvent based paints that are air brushed on, the same that are used on plastic bumpers on cars. The paint is UV protected and is permanent and will not rub off. The paint is also sealed with a UV protectant sealer. It also is permanent and will not yellow or wash off. I remove the eyes through the neck opening and replace them back the same way once eyelash and eye repair is finished. I do NOT split the head open, nor would I recommend it. I try to always think of the long term effects of my repairs and fixes. As for the clothing I make, I try to make them as close to an original design as possible. I also try to use vintage 50′s fabrics as often as I can. If I do not, I will always state so. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. Pictures are part of the description. The pencil skirt has a split in the back. Over the suit, Cissy wears a fully lined 3/4s length black wool jacket, complete with turned up cuffs and collar. This outfit was specifically designed as an haute couture outfit by Karen Parker of sewspecialties238. In keeping with what ladies of the 50s wore, Cissy wears a white girdle edged with pink trim. Pill box style hat adorned with black netting, securely attached to her beautiful blonde hair with a crystal hatpin. Her ensemble is completed with seamed stockings, which have a couple of tiny holes at the foot, black strappy high heels. She wears a diamond ring and a graduated. Cissy carries a quilted faux Chanel style handbag. Cissys body is in excellent condition with no splits or cracks. Her lovely lush honey blonde coloured hair is perfectly coiffed into a full shoulder length curly do with bangs. Cissys face is the portrait of perfection. Her blue blue eyes are beautifully shadowed and open and close perfectly. She is delicately blushed and has full red lips. All her joints operate smoothly.
