Madame Alexander Dolls

Rare little gem that dates between 1937-38. Since she is composition, there is crazing… But no missing pieces or lifting. Delightful mohair wig is meant to resemble those powdered during the time of Marie Antoinette in the 18th century. Note: photos are enlargable. The delicate dress is crisp and remarkably colorful in spite of its age. I see no holes or fraying. The organza center panel has that typical darkened “tea stained” effect from age. I think the black lace she holds is supposed to be a fan because purses weren’t this size in that period (and Mme Alexander was always accurate with her costumes). She’s just wonderful and I have loved her; I’m just downsizing. She comes from a smoke free home and I have displayed her away from direct sunlight. Vintage 18 Signed Eegee Vogue Baby Dear Alexander Kitten Lookalike Baby Doll. This is the cutest doll. She looks like she wasn’t played with. She is clean and santized. She is very rare especially in this condition. Her hair is clean and shiny and be combed. Her clothes are custom made just for her. Her dress and bonnet are a Swiss Batiste. It was upcycled from a Antique real baby Christening gown. I had to carefully take the antique gown apart and redesign it This takes a lot of time and imagination. This baby is ready to be adopted.
