Gorgeous Vintage’65 Madame Alexander Pussycat 18 with her Teddy Bear companion. This baby doll has beautiful green eyes that open and close freely, full set of lush eyelashes, dark brown hair and is wearing a super sweet blue dress with lacy accents. She has brand new white patent leather shoes and lace trimmed frilly socks. Her body is very clean and her vinyl has been scrubbed. Hair has been washed, conditioned and restyled. Her fingers and toes are intact. Crier does not work. Small dot on leg inside the vinyl in manufacturing. Also some of the fabric has separated in the crotch area. I have had a passion for the Madame Alexander Pussycat dolls ever since I received one as a gift when I was young. They have adorable pouty lips, rosy round cheeks and beautiful big eyes. 1941 Madame Alexander Jeannie Walker 13 1/2 Composition Blue Pinafore Dress. This Jeannie Walker has crazing over her body and some fine cracks on her face. Her color is quite good and her stringing still has good tension. No chips; normal wear at arm sockets, neck and fingertips. Paint wear at waist probably from doll stand. Mohair wig in good condition. Her dress is not tagged but is Madame Alexander quality – I believe it to be original. A blue pinafore with attached half slip, it is worn over a lace trimmed, dotted Swiss blouse. Original socks and hat. Edition Size 65, This is no. Lissy, Butterfly Kisses, is a 12 inch doll with elbow and knee joints. She has sleep eyes and is made of hard plastic. She has light blonde hair styled in a braided up do with ringlets framing her rosy complexion. Her blue eyes and red lips complete her charming look. Common to dolls of this era, Lissy’s eyes prefer the open position, close with help. Her lavender checked dress is accented with “pearls” and crochet lace. She wears white stockings and white and black side button boots. Lissy’s butterfly is attached to her right hand. The right wing has a separation but it is intact. As the 2007 convention was held in New Orleans, I believe Lissy is a nod to the Butterfly Pavilion at the Audubon Zoo. This beautiful doll is Minty and Very Rare from the Jarvis years. There is a handwritten card from the dress designer, Pat Mathisson. I removed Lissy from her box one time, she is superb. My home is smoke and pet free and all dolls are stored inside in a climate controlled closet. Cushion packing inside and out.
