This is a vintage Madame Alexander-kins doll in her original tagged majorette outfit. She has nice coloring. She walks but it only turns her head one direction. Hat is stained as shown and has a few little holes in the top. Elastic at skirt waist is very stretched. This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, protective sealant applied and her wig cleaned and put back into its original style. She has no odors, stains, splits or cracks. She had a small hairline split on topof the right leg filled in. There is a small bit of vinyl missing on the inside bottom of the right arm as it goes in the socket. She is newly restrung to head and arms. She has blue eyes with original lashes. She has no earring holes. This was a Basic Cissy. They did not have earring holes. She has normal inner thigh rubs and very little neck rub. Her wig is clean and full. The heels have sparkles in them. They are just so pretty!! This Cissy is ready for display in whatever you might like to dress her in, she can handle it all! Note: Because there are so many people doing repairs on these lovely dolls and I have been asked many questions, I would like to clarify a bit of the work I do. I have had training in plastic and composition repairs and have been doing them for many years. My spa treatments are done with solvent based paints that are air brushed on, the same that are used on plastic bumpers on cars. The paint is UV protected and is permanent and will not rub off. The paint is also sealed with a UV protectant sealer. It also is permanent and will not yellow or wash off. I remove the eyes through the neck opening and replace them back the same way once eyelash and eye repair is finished. I do NOT split the head open, nor would I recommend it. I try to always think of the long term effects of my repairs and fixes. As for the clothing I make, I try to make them as close to an original design as possible. I also try to use vintage 50′s fabrics as often as I can. If I do not, I will always state so. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, new lashes, and her wig put back into its original style. This doll was a transitional doll and this is how she came with her original stringing, an infused body and a painted face. She has no earring holes, so Swarovski crystals were glued to her ears. She has a small hairline crack high up on the right leg, very thin and not seen. Her hips are tight as are her knees. Her arms are nice with no rips or tears. To accompany Cissy is her new garden party ensemble. This fabric reminded me of her original garden party dress that was painted with flowers. This is new fabric, not vintage. These flowers are embroidered on net fabric. I have added some silk pink flowers and prong set Swarovski crystals to the front of the dress, as the original dress had. The bodice is watermark taffeta with the netting overlayed and lined with organdy. All seams are finished. Bodice closes in the back with square snaps and hook and eye at the waist. The skirt has an underlayment of organdy and under that is a stiff nylon slip from a portrait doll. It fits perfect and gives a nice lift to the skirt. Cissy is also wearing vintage (not Cissy) satin panties, new nylons, new silver heels, new pearl necklace and bracelet, new gauntlet gloves, and a gorgeous hat by Richard’s Originals. This Cissy is an infused doll (paint in infused into the plastic, not a painted doll). She is just lovely and is free of odors, stains, chews, or splits. She has had very thin split repairs on top of both of her legs and along the sides of her neck. Both areas are shown in photos. They were very minimal. She is newly restrung to the head and arms. She has gorgeous blue eyes and she has had middle lash replacement on the right eye. She has had her cheeks reblushed and a UV sealer applied to her face. Her lips have been painted and sealed. Her hair is in it’s original style with pull up sides and a top knot. Hair is clean and full with no cuts or bald areas. She has a very nice body and matching arms. Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. Cissy will come to you undressed ready for you to clothe her with an outfit of your choice. Cissy is in good condition. Her wig is neatly coiffed into a curly bob. Her face has been Re blushed and sealed. She has bewitching luminous hazel eyes. Cissys stringing is good. Her right leg is stiff to move at the hip joint but it does move. One has to be gentle when placing her in a sitting position. Her knee joints operate smoothly. Her arms are a paler shade than her torso. She has the usual rubs/mars at her joints and they are visible in the pictures. On her right leg Cissy has a split repair which extends to the top of her leg hip. It is coming undone and I leave it to the next owner as to how they want to deal with it. Description, magnify all the pictures and ask for more should you find it necessary. A beautiful doll with high color cheeks & lips, no rubs. Blue sleep eyes with all their lashes. Factory styled hair that still retains the original flower wreath. Her bangs are all there, just some pushed back from storage. Strung just right so she is easy to pose. Some white spots on back of her left leg, no unwanted hard plastic odors. All original tagged tutu with attached matching underwear that are brighter pink than the tutu. Mostly on back there are faded brown dots that look to wash out, some on right sleeve, as pictured. Front of the tutu has very few dots and they are hardly noticeable. Still retains original flower applique on waist and on left shoulder. Back of neck is marked “Alexander”. Dress has a loose stitch under one arm hole. Not a rip, just missing stitches. Dress has original tag. Comes with blue formal slip. My dolls are all around 50-80 years old. THANK YOU FOR VISITING US. 1950′s Vintage Madame Alexander 14 CINDERELLA & PRINCE CHARMING Dolls.. This beautiful pair was recently acquired from the original owner who received the dolls as a gift in the early 1950′s. A rare set of 14 Cinderella and Prince Charming dolls from the early 1950′s. She is dressed in her pale blue satin ball gown with puff sleeves and decorated with silver metallic trim and tiny silver stars. Her dress is lined in white satin and she also has a net trimmed petticoat and lace trimmed panties. She has a gold metallic coronet on her lovely platinum blond hair which is held in place with the original hairnet. She is wearing her original plastic “glass” slippers which fit her perfectly, of course! The handsome Prince is wearing an ivory brocade satin tunic top, ivory bloomers and matching cape with gold metallic trim and satin lining. He has an ivory cap which matches the outfit and is accented with original white feather, white tights and original gold satin snap-on shoes. He has reddish brown curly hair and rosy cheeks. Both dolls are all original with no markings visible and no hangtags. Both their outfits are tagged with labels. There are no cracks on either doll and no odors. They are well strung and heads, arms and legs work and pose well. They have sleep eyes (hers are green, his are blue) with thick brush lashes. The only issues noted on either doll are with her petticoat. The snap at the top is missing and there is slight age discoloration at the hem where the net trim is attached (see photos).
