2005 MADAME ALEXANDER (40160) “WENDY LOVES MUNCHKINLAND” doll is in excellent condition having never been removed from the box. It comes with card, stand, pink tissue, miniature “Dorothy” doll still wrapped and in the plastic bag and attachedto box. The box is in very nice condition showing only a little wear. This Wendy doll is GORGEOUS! Wearing to prettiest blue pink and white striped dress with the oz characters around the bottom. This Doll is RARE & HARD TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION! Very nice Madame Alexander-kins Wendy. Her outfit is Tagged and she is wearing a light Lavender satin dress with white lace trim. Her pretty dress has snaps back closure. She has on a matching Satin panties and her hat with flowers and Alexander-kins chin strap that holds her hat on her head. She is wearing her original anklets and black side snap fuzzy black shoes (smooth soles). She has on her white Wendy original slip. Wendy has her very visible brows and eyelashes and pretty blushed cheeks. No nicks or missing coloring, her face is very pretty. She is 8 hard plastic, and a STRAIGHT leg walker. Madame Alexander 1940s 14 Wendy Ann Composition Bride Doll. Her gown is tagged “Madame Alexander”. Wendy Ann wears her original white organza gown trimmed with white satin ribbon trim. The dress has an attached satin slip and underneath she wears original panties that do not appear to have ever been removed much like her stunning creamy leather mary janes and perfect socks. She also wears her original net wedding veil with lace edging and lily of the valley flowers. The dress and veil have a few issues. She is a straight leg non-walker and has amazingly bright face and body coloring. Her knees and hands both retain bright original blush. Her eyes are clear blue with full lashes. Her body and face do have crazing or cracks but no paint peeling. Her light brown or auburn wig is full and lovely but she has been given the Princess Leia treatment and has braided buns and braided bangs. These could be removed to restore her original curls but the braids are quite charming actually the way they are. In addition to her bridal ensemble, she came with a full slip that is beautifully made but doesn’t appear original. Wendy – Dressed for a Summer Morning for the Discriminating Collector. Wendy is Dressed for a Summer Morning. 8 Madame Alexander, #424 Wendy.. Produced in 1955, she is a bent knee walker with the Wendy Ann face and marked ALEX on her back.. Her face paint is all original and she has very bright rosy cheeks. She has blue flirty eyes and her walking mechanism works fine. Wendy is wearing her original outfit which consists of a tagged lime green cotton dress with a floral cotton pinafore and lime green panties. She has fuchsia original shoes with fuzzy bottoms and wears rayon socks. She has her original wrist tag To: All Little Girls Everywhere, and her booklet from 1955 showing her photo and others created that year. This doll also came with a perky hairdo but mine has the traditional flip and is exactly as I bought her mint in box in 1991! She has shiny blonde hair and a triple stitched wig. Original set is perfect. She has lived behind glass in my custom doll room and is from a pet-free, smoke-free home. Dont miss this treasure she is fresh and crisp as the day she was made! We are offering this adorable fancy Alexander-kins Wendy from our long time collection. She is a SLW straight leg walker, sleepy eye, She is marked Alex on her back. Original factory, Auburn hair color, with bangs and flip hair style. Her wig is original, T RIPLE. STITCHED, never restyled, clean andThick. Wendy has visible eyebrows and her pretty eyes flicker open and close with ease pretty and clear. No scrapes or scuffs, No redoing, she is all original. Her walking mechanism works when you move her head her legs move back and forth and her arms are strung well and hold a pose. Her dress is white organdy with lots of lace, nice and stiff. The arms of the dress are a tule fabric. She has on her original slip, the elastic in not as tight as it once was at the waist. Under her dress and slip she is wearing long pantaloons, waist is snug. The dress closes in the back with the original snaps, So cute and so fancy. On her head is her original bonnet with stiff straw lace, tiny pink fuzzy flowers are attached to the inside and outside of the hat. Her bonnet closes with the original pink satin ribbons. Wendy Ann’s outfit has never been removed from her, no shelf dust detected, as she has been packed away and still in nice condition for being 61 years old. (See all photos below).
