Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Brunette wig, in original style. Tagged Garden Party dress. Pearl earrings and necklace. Pink strappy high heels. Straw hat with silk flowers and hat pin. Yellow and ivory taffeta petticoats. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. She has brunette hair in the original style with lovely curls, the hair is styled and pined in place, there is some old glue around the edges and some thin spots if you go thru the wig. Sparkling green-hazel sleep eyes that open and close, hair lashes, painted under lashes. She has nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with. Drop earrings and a wired pearl. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. Good strings, she holds a pose well. She is wearing her original “Garden Party” dress, it is yellow chiffon with a floral pattern, full circle skirt. Underneath she wears her yellow taffeta petticoat plus a crisp white taffeta slip with net flounce, matching yellow. Panties, the elastic has lost some stretch and some has been added, some shadows on the yellow petticoat. The shoes are original pink strappy. The hat is original vintage 50s natural straw. With silk and velvet flowers and a yellow head hat pin. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only, no stand. The written description is based on my opinion and observation of the item. Madame Alexander 20 Blonde Cissy Doll Blue Dress 1950s? Some condition issues – neck, left shoulder, left leg, hair. Clothing issues as well. Hair is glued and it looks like the glue has melted into hair. Her head tilts back when you pick her up. Also dark marks on neck. Split starting on left leg. Left shoulder plastic/rubber coming away from arm. Dress has some stains, underskirt is held on with safety pin. Please review description and pictures before purchasing. This doll is stunning to say the least. Reminds me of Cissy. She is 20 inches and all original Her neck reads A. She has her original ballerina outfit in nice condition Might need a pressing Silk underpants has a little staining where it creases. Her flowers are attached to one shoulder and the other is missing a few. Snaps in the back She has stockings that say up and light pink satin shoes with a matching ribbon. Her facial coloring is flawless. Her lashes are full and her eyes are crystal clear. Her hair is very shiny and maintains the original hairdo. She has no odors and is much nicer in person You will be pleased with this one. Her limbs are tight and she will stand on her own. In excellent condition and nicer in person You will be pleased. They don’t get much nicer than this! Kelly is in mint condition with tagged dress and hang tag. High color cheeks, no rubs or scratches. Blue sleep eyes with all their lashes. Her hair is in the factory original set and even still has the factory original styling gel with original pink hair bow. Crispy clean clothes, no stains or holes. I put tissue paper under her dress to flare it out. Pink taffeta underwear with matching half slip, both with good elastic. Original fuzzy side snap shoes and knit socks. One of the prettiest 15 Kelly’s I’ve seen in a long while. Item # 8B-10 LCFT. Madame Alexander Cissy 1950′s with Honeymoon accessories. I remember when this one of a kind fashion was designed. We wore wide flared skirts and dresses with stiff underskirts to make it stand out. This particular outfit was designed a “Going Away” off to the “Honeymoon” fashion. And the only one with the throw away bouquet attached to the sheer organza wrap or stole. For the cool June evening Honeymoon. Alexander used sheer organza in keeping with the other wedding materials.. This stole has yellowed with age. The hat is the only one designed for this event and has the same flowers, all original. There are two pearl rusted hatpins attaching the hat. The Navy dress has the square black snaps and one seam has loosened at the tight sleeve. The dress is untagged, but some were not or lost. The slip is exquisite heavy grossgrain taffeta and was probably not cost productive, so you have cheaper slips used in mass production. Cissy has original Tosca Marcel wave and curl with original rusting hairpins. She does not have the Yardley coiffure, which is beautiful but not natural. We never wore that coiffure in the fifties. Cissy’s beautiful face still has high color, as well her knees. Brows were faded and no trace of double stroke. Eyes still gleam, but could be cleaned. The lashes appear human hair and are the color of hair and not the common black lashes used in mass production on all dolls. May have been experimental or lost. Its unusual all lashes were lost. Body is in very good condition, no splits, tight joints, slight loose head. She comes with dress, hat. Stole wrap with all original flowers, older red heels. You must sign for this Cissy.
