Madame Alexander Dolls

The dress is tagged, clean and in excellent condition. The top of the bodice has the original trim. She is wearing black gauntlet fingerless gloves, which are exclusive to this outfit. She also wears her original rhinestone drop earrings and bracelet. Underneath the gown is a full length nylon crinoline slip with ruffled tulle underneath. She is also wearing her original taffeta panties, nylons, and black heels, all of which are in very nice, clean, condition. She originally came with a white faux fur stole, which the owner lost over the years. I have included a Madame Alexander Black Velvet cape. The doll is made from infused plastic and has beautiful cheek color, clear blue eyes and full lashes. Her hair is clean, shiny and in the original up-do style. She retains the blush to her knees and there a no seam splits or other flaws on her body. I have included several pictures to show the condition. Please enlarge them for the best view. Here, for your consideration is a 20 inch Cissy from 1957, based on the information in my book. She is called “Black A-Line” Cissy. She is all original wearing her black velvet/velveteen A-Line gown. There is beaded trim at the top. She wears her original earrings, which have turned some from age. She also wears black fingerless gloves. She wears a black slip, black panties, black shoes, with back seam stockings. Her face is absolutely gorgeous with bright coloring. Her head is a little loose. She looks to have all her eyelashes. Her hair is in the original set with the RARE side curls. Her hair is ultra shiny, in my opinion. I see no crotch or knee cracks. She has her original fur stole with the little animal face showing. I have to tell you that age is taking a tole on it. It is shedding pretty badly. I’m sure you can see some on her gown. Also, on the lining in the picture, you can see where someone has tried to do some repair work. If it were me, I would get a vintage Madame Alexander stole that is “fake” fur and use that. Although, of course that is your decision. Notice the blue showing in her eyes. Based on everything I have been told and have learned, this is the original doll in her original gown with matching slip. Cissy does not appear to have any crotch cracks or knee cracks. She seems to have all her eyelashes and her face paint is just beautiful. Her coloring all over is just lovely, in my opinion. This is the way she came to me.
