1954 Madame Alexander Alexander-Kins BKW bent knee walker Wendy 8. From The Candy Spelling Collection – Born to the Manor. I bought her in November of 2011 when Mrs. She turns her head from side to side as she walks. She has Tosca (Sandy Blonde) hair & Black pupil-less eyes. Her dress, slip & panties are crisp & have never been washed – you can tell by the crispiness of the dress tag. Pretty sure her hat is not original & I believe her shoes should be cream colored, not black. No Box – No Wrist Tag. An adorable vintage Doll by Madame Alexander from 1953 – 1954. She is 7.5 inches tall, has working sleep eyes, and is a straight leg non walker doll. Wendy Ann is in all original condition, which is very near perfect, since she has spent all her life displayed in her box. Her clothing has no tears, holes, stains, etc. The front of the dress is a little faded and back of the dress is a little darker blue; the elastic on her precious hat and the elastic in her short half slip are stretched. Her perfect triple stitched blond wig is in its original curl. This sweet doll wears fuzzy bottomed white side snap shoes and socks. The box label is marked “Kins”, “300″ but someone has written “Prince Charles” on it. Please review the photographs carefully, and let me know if you have any questions. A vintage Doll by Madame Alexander from the 1950′s. Tag reads, Alexander-Kins, and card tag attached to wrist introduces her as’Wendy Ann’. Height is 7.5 ins, moving sleep eyes. All original condition, which is perfect, since she has spent all her life in the box. Two bouquets of Silk flowers have a label’ made in japan’. The card box is very good and bears a label stating model # 506, Blonde, Blue. Also comes with an original 20 page, (including covers), catalog that features other dolls in the same range. This catalog is in slightly distressed condition with some tears and writing. Here today is an absolutely adorable BKW Madame Alexander-Kins doll wearing her all original complete tagged “Wendy Goes Ice Skating” outfit made in 1956. Wendy has a perfect uncombed strawberry blonde wig that is in its original set with 3 row stitching. It appears her hat has never been off until I took the pictures. She has crystal clear gray-blue sleep eyes that open and close perfect with vivid painted lower lashes. She has beautiful painted red lips but has lost most of her blush. The only skin blemish I can see is under her chin there is a faint pink transfer, not bad and you don’t see it unless she is without her hat lying down on her back, assuming from the pink ribbon on the hat for so many years. Wendy can stand on her own and hold poses great, her legs are a tad loose but no problem at all standing. She is wearing her all original complete adorable tagged skating outfit. I can find no issues with her outfit. The colors of turquoise and pink are vivid with no stains, no tears, no fading, no discoloration and no odors. The little long sleeved pink tagged romper closes in the back with 2 original intact snaps. The skating skirt has a pink elastic waist band that is great with pink rickrack at the hem. The darling little pixie hat has tiny little pink button embellishments, pink rickrack, with a cluster of bright pink silk bows at the tip, closing under her chin with bright pink silk ribbons. She is wearing faux suede off white ice skates with fuzzy bottoms under the blades. Wendy and her precious outfit are too cute to put into words, the pictures speak for themselves. The doll is a straight leg nonwalker, solid heavy plastic. She has a triple stitch blonde tosca wig and her stringing is good. She has pretty overall body tone with no splits. Her face has very nice coloring. Very cute doll in a very rare outfit. Has a pink purse matching pink of rickrack on the outfit. Her outfit includes a white lace fancy bonnet with original ties, a tagged romper with leg elastic still holding memory. Square snaps in the back to close the organdy top of the romper. The Jumper has three white original buttons in back. I see no holes in the organdy or cotton. There is a teeny tiny repair at the bottom edge of hem. Hard to find or see. Top stitch white velveteen with fuzzy soles and have side snaps in very good condition. A couple of spots on shoes. This item will be insured. I messed up on the wording earlier. White hat is a professionally made “replica” replacement, with vintage velvety flower cluster tucked loosely at side of dolls head. Perfect ivory side snaps and vintage socks. This is a stunning 1954-55 Madame Alexander-kins Doll. She is SLW Kins which means she is a straight leg walker. She is in super excellent condition with original blonde wig in original set, new ribbon, bright natural coloring with brown brows, light green eyes that open and close freely, no black under lashes, bright pink cheeks and red lips, no rubs or scuffs. She’s a straight leg walker factory dressed in the costume most often attributed to 1953. The toy retail season is autumn to autumn, not January through December. In stunning, complete, crisp condition. No holes, no rips, no repairs, no repairs needed, no dust, no odors. Southern Girl has a beautiful complexion and vivid features. Her bonnet has never been removed and was left undisturbed. The rest of her wig is surely as glossy and flawless as what is seen. If you could peep under the bonnet, you’d see triple stitching on the part. Eyes blink as they should. Lids are not scraped. Her wrist tag is even perfect. Tied to her wrist with pink string. Her slip and pantalettes are crisp, candy pink taffeta. Her shoes are white “suede” with stitching and fuzzy soles. Elastic waist bands are snug. Body stringing is snug. The only “flaw” to describe are tiny, pale dots just under her right hand. The shape and location are just under the tips of her fingers, as if the plastic color was somehow transferred the fabric.
