Vintage 1930′s Mme Alexander 13 Alice in Wonderland Doll Wendy Ann AO. Scroll down for larger views. She was an only child who had wonderful dolls, carefully stored for many years. This doll is’Alice in Wonderland’ using the Wendy-Ann mold. She is 13” high, all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist and hips. Made in the mid to late 1930′s. Marked: Wendy-Ann Madame Alexander New York. The doll has a wonderful face with original paint, no re-paint or touch-ups, nice coloring, blue sleep eyes, lashes painted below her eyes, gray shadow, and intact sable lashes. Also ruby lips and rosy cheeks. She has her original dark-blonde human hair wig, still in the original curled set with original blue bow. The body is also excellent, with original paint and nice coloring. Her fingers, knees & elbows are still rosy. Just a little rough edge where her waist twists. Her stringing is fine. The doll wears her original tagged outfit. Marked: Alice in Wonderland, Madame Alexander. This includes a pretty blue & white dotted dress with white trim, and an attached petticoat, a white ruffled organdy apron, white lace-trimmed panties, white rayon socks, and black oil-cloth side-snap shoes. The outfit is excellent! One shoe does have a break in the strap where the shoe would snap. She came from Z. Utah’s premiere department store long gone for many years. Vintage 1947 18 Composition Madame Alexander A/O Alice in Wonderland Doll. This doll wears her original Alice in Wonderland costume from 1947. Although it appears that the tag has been cut off – it is an easily recognizable outfit. Alice also has her original wig and sleep eyes. Only her hair ribbon has been replaced. The doll has been cleaned and craze controlled due to light crazing. Alice has a very nice condition body and pretty face. She is all composition and is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. She has clear grey/blue sleep eyes with thick brush lashes. Her face paint includes eye shadow and single stroke eyebrows, painted lower lashes, light cheek blush and painted closed mouth. She is a “Margaret face” Alexander doll with. Original blushing on her hands and knees. Her original mohair wig is styled. With short bangs, pulled back with a black ribbon in the typical Alice in Wonderland style. This doll has had a very light restoration, by me. That means that she has been cleaned, craze controlled and sealed. Her face paint has not been touched up. Her fingers and toes are perfect and have not been repaired. She has just been restrung – fairly loosely because composition dolls that are strung too tightly develop side head or torso cracks from the stress. Her costume is all original and had been recently laundered and it has been recently pressed. One snap on a shoe was repaired with tape under the strap. Her hair ribbon is a replacement. Lovely Alice is ready to join your collection! MARK: ALEXANDER on head and back. Very Good very lightly restored condition. Nicely painted facial features. Clear sleep eyes with thick lashes. Wearing her thick original, mohair wig which is thinning on the ends. She can stand and pose. Perfect fingers and toes without any repairs or rebuilds. No cracks, Light to moderate crazing, No flaking, lifting, chips or large stains. Costume is all original and in good condition. The blue dress looks faded. Dress is not tagged – but it looks like the remnant of a tag where it was cutoff the back of the dress. Costume is in good condition. Apron has one small hole in ron (pictured) Shoes have one side snap the has been repaired – and it does not open and close. (pictured) Other shoe snap works using care. Missing her original box. NMIB Madame Alexander Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Alice Liddell 10 Doll #69940. This elegant doll is brand new from smoke-free store inventory and mint in original box. Featured photos are of actual doll for sale. Alice Pleasance Liddell was the inspiration for the classic fairy tale, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll first told the story of Alice’s adventures to the three Liddell sisters at a river picnic. Upon Alice’s plea, he wrote it down for her also including his own hand drawn illustrations. Thus, in 1864, the original version of the story was complete, entitled Alice’s Adventures Under Ground. Bustles and elaborate drapery characterize dresses of the early 1870′s. Alice is wearing a fashionable dress with trimmed, draped overskirts supported by a bustle and a petticoat. Her jacket has a short-waisted, fitted bodice that flares over the hips and is trimmed with ribbon bow in the front. Alice’s hair is in a day style of loose curls pulled up into a loose chignon at the top of her head. She also wears bangs which were considered very fashionable. Amazing antique madame Alexander original with tag Alice in wonderland set of five dolls amazing. Here we have Alice in rare pink dress instead of the blue much scarcer her condition is lovely with patina as she is cloth and almost 1 0 years old , she is all original her eye lashes are beautiful she measures 20 inches tall the mad hatter is awesome made of cloth and wool felt he has incredible detail glass eyes paper square on hat that has a price in pounds I believe the character always depicted with the paper square , even has a matching hanky in pocket that matches bow tie. He measures about 20 inches to top of hat. The March hare is all wool felt with glass two tone eyes beautiful great detail he is 12 inches top of head and 15 inches to top of ears. The queen is small? 8 inches tall all cloth with printed type face amazing detail she has mohair hair. The Dodo bird measures almost 12 inches tall being made us out with three tone glass eyes has a bamboo cane amazing construction wire felt poseable tail suede face with embroidered features fantastic doll oil cloth bill , this set of antique dolls I have never seen might be one of a kind mightve been used as a shop display? This all original 1937 Alice in Wonderland doll is as close to perfection as can be without being straight off the toy department shelf! You can see that her dress and composition coloring have not faded over time and are like new. The little black shoes are in excellent condition, soles and heels intact and clean. The Wendy Ann swivel waist doll can be posed in so many positions, from bending over to turning at the waist to look at something behind her. The Cheshire Cat in the one photo is a prop and does not come with her. The 14 swivel waist dolls have been my favorite Madame Alexander doll. My mother collected dolls and she had one I loved and will always have. I have collected quite a few and will be listing more in the future. Please carefully examine the photographs. For consideration, an adorable Alexander Kin known as Alice in Wonderland. She is a 1953 Hard Plastic doll. She’s a Straight Leg Walker. She wears a blue dress with tiny white dots trimmed with lace at the sleeves and rickrack at the neckline. Her dress is tagged: Madame Alexander-Kins. Covering her dress is a sleeveless white organza pinafore trimmed with lace. The pinafore is held by the strings of her pinafore. She wears rayon socks and black shoes with snaps to the side. They have fuzzy bottoms. Her wig is tripled stitched. Her blue sleep eyes open and close as they should. She is clean and free from scratches, stains or rips, as is her dress.
