Vintage 1946-48 Madame Alexander Composition ALICE IN WONDERLAND. 18 She has blue-grey sleep eyes (small spots on the eyes) closed mouth & blonde mohair uncombed wig in the original set. The hair now is slightly faded as might be expected with age. Her outfit does have fade as you can see the true color in a fold at back now it’s all a very light sky blue but very consistently. She has a white organdy apron trimmed in lace over her dress. She has cotton pantaloons and rayon stockings (hole on left leg) Her face and arms has some lines in it but no full open cracking. She has Maggie’s face. She has blue eyes, and wears her original blue taffeta, Her outfit is without holes or tears, however, it does have some stains, as is common when dolls are kept in boxes. NO cracks, splits on the doll, her coloring is even. Maggie was first made in 1949 Hard Plastic darker complexion. Later ones have creamy complexion. Maggie walker came in 1952. Thanks for stopping by! Beautiful all original dressed 14″-15″ Maggie face Vintage Madame Alexander Alice In Wonderland doll! Near mint and just lovely! Odors- No offensive odors noted Stringing- She is a non- walkingstrung doll. Stringing is tight and she holds poses well. Head – Clean, no stains or major marks. Hair – Hair is clean, thick and in original set with pretty blonde curls! She does have a few fly aways. She has her original hair ribbon. Makeup/Paint – Face has a lovely matte complexion. Lips are red and original. Cheeks are bright and original. Eyes – Eyes are clear, clean and a very pretty blue. They open and close easily. Eyelashes are full thick and straight. Body- and limbs are clean and free of stains, no cracks to seams. Clothing She wears her lovely original clothing Her taffeta dress has changed to typical lavender shade. It is clean and crisp. Very nice clean crisp tag. Her apron/pinafore is free of stains, but being white I would say it has collected a little dust over the decades. I do see a couple of teenie pinholes, see photos #10 & #11 and a teenie speck of something on neck edge that I could not wipe off, it can be seen in photo #11. You have to be up very close and in good light to see them. She wears her original petticoat and bloomers that are clean, nice fabric sizing, bloomers still have ribbon bows that have retained the blue color. Her stockings are clean, note photo #9, I found one teenie break in the netting. Again you have to look very closely to see it. Her little black side snap shoes are clean and in fantastic condition. She is wearing a Madame Alexander hang tag with original string. These are used vintage items and usually show some degree of play wear. Please, always refer to photos as part of description. Beautiful, vintage Maggie doll in excellent condition. Have not done anything to hair but added silk ribbon and pinned it to hold it in place. Glued in wig original and very fragile. Did not to try to comb or reset. Redressed in more modern Madame Alexander, Alice in Wonderland, factory tagged outfit with shoes, hose, panties, pinafore and dress. Her eyes open and close nicely though a little slow. Stringing in good shape though legs a little loose. Beautiful addition for collection of 1940s and 1950s Vintage Madame Alexanders. For consideration, an adorable Alexander Kin known as Alice in Wonderland. She is a 1953 Hard Plastic doll. She’s a Straight Leg Walker. She wears a blue dress with tiny white dots trimmed with lace at the sleeves and rickrack at the neckline. Her dress is tagged: Madame Alexander-Kins. Covering her dress is a sleeveless white organza pinafore trimmed with lace. The pinafore is held by the strings of her pinafore. She wears rayon socks and black shoes with snaps to the side. They have fuzzy bottoms. Her wig is tripled stitched. Her sleep eyes open and close as they should. She is clean and free from scratches, stains as is her dress.
