Madame Alexander Dolls

This is my favorite doll and gown made for Cissy by Madame Alexander. She is the one I fell in love with at first sight. 1956 Brunette Up-do with tie backs, re-blushed and gently sealed. Original lashes, brows and lips. Very sturdy doll with a nice solid weight and no cracks or splits. Gown shows no fading and has not been laundered. Even the pink satin lining, bra insert and exposed shoulders show a nice even pink color. Original slip and attached panties with good elastic. NOTE: There are two small tears in the tulle measuring less than 1 inch. NOTE: This doll has pierced ears… Original had flatback rhinestone earrings. I will either include rhinestone drop earrings or glue on flatback rhinestone earrings for you… Just let me know at. No odors, no pets, non-smoking home. This beautiful Cissy wears her tagged, torso gown known as the Black Mermaid #2043, made in1956 by Madame Alexander. The gown is made with a black velvet fitted torso and flared black taffeta covered with tulle at the bottom. It features a pink lining, zipper closure in the back and is adorned with pink roses. She also wears the matching half-slip with attached panties, black heels and rhinestone jewelry. Both the doll and clothing are in extra nice condition with no damage noted. Madame Alexander RARE “Cynthia” Margaret Face Black Brown HP Doll 1952 ORIG. 18″ Wonderful and rare MA “Cynthia African American doll with the Margaret face mold, stock #1830, made for just one year. Her body is hard plastic and strung, molded navel, bottom, fingers, toes and ears. She has amber sleep eyes with full upper lashes, painted lower lashes, painted brows, and lovely rosebud lips. Her hair style is original and quite tidy including her original hair clip, extremely HTF, yellow ribbon and flowers. She wears her original shoes, socks and lace panties decorated with yellow ribbon. Condition: Generally good as pictured and described above. Her stringing is likely original and fairly tight. There’s rubbing and paint loss on the inside of her four limbs as well as the back of her calves and upper thighs small scratch on left cheek, minor scratching on body, panties have some color transfer on the inside. 50′s Vtg Madame Alexander 20 Cissy doll, entirely original outfit and doll. Sometimes called Black Widow, shes a Redhead. This was my childhood doll! Only one owner, and boxed in storage for the last 25 years at least. Right leg has a split above the knee. Left leg has an exceptionally small split at the knee. Her knees have a blush to them. Her eyes sleep and open, and are a vibrant blue. Her eyelashes are in good shape. Her panties have some holes along the creases of the fabric, and the lace is unattached in one area. I couldnt see any of the panty holes until I removed them from her body and examined them. The elastic is stretched out on the panties. The petticoat/pink can can slips elastic is worn out and stretched way too big. No holes in the petticoat. Theres a tiny mark on her right cheek, which you may be able to clean off. Likewise, I feel her hands should be washed. She has no earring holes. Her arms are a softer plastic than the rest of her. Her hairnet is still on, though it has a large hole. The hat has always been on her head, so her hair is in nice condition. The hat itself originally had a veil, which is largely disintegrated. The shoulder and hip joints look like they need cleaning. Her stockings look great except under the toe area. Only one shoe could be found, and her eyeglasses are broken. I have not removed the ring, which has a hanky attached. The dress has some fading and needs a wash. It has 5 square black snaps up the back, a jewel on the front between the breasts, and is made of silk? The skirt portion is in good shape other than some fading and needing a wash, but the bodice lining is shredded from age and is disintegrating. It should probably just be removed. The tag was mostly cut out, but is still partly visible. Some of the lace at the armholes has come unstitched. ALEXANDER is printed in raised plastic on the back of her head just under her hair, above her neck. She has a pearl necklace on, but I think that may belong with a smaller doll. 1956 Cissy in tagged Black Mermaid Torso Gown. She is in beautiful but NOT mint condition. She did get a little refreshing at the spa and has been restrung. Her gown will need a little attention. Although it is free from any damage, I did find a couple of marks on the underskirt and the velvet will need to be brushed.
