Thanks for stopping by! Vintage Madame Alexander pretty blonde Cissy doll. Her flaws are a small split right leg (photo #12) and some specks on her right wrist (photo #11) from clothing I believe. The split is very repairable. Not sure if the specks will come off, they might. Other than that she is a very nice and pretty girl. No other cracks other than mentioned above. Pretty blonde wig pretty much in original set with some fly aways. Some of the side curls are loose at the tips. Back does show some areas where the wig glue has gotten hot and bled through. Pretty clear blue eyes that open and close easily with full original lashes. Pretty original lip color without rubs or scratches. Here checks have been enhanced but it is not sealed! If you reflect her face in the light you can see a hint of’wavy’ in the plastic on the left cheek, it is factory! Arms are tightly strung, they are a decent color but not perfectly pink! Her head is a tad wobbly but poses fine. I assume it is the original band, so keep in mind it is probably dry. Most of the photos were taken in natural light to capture her color. These are used vintage items and usually show some degree of play wear. Please, always refer to photos as part of description. This is a strung 1953 Quizkins Nodder first year Madame Alexander-kins Doll. She is in beautiful condition with original triple stitched blonde wig with loads of curls, excellent face coloring with brown brows, light blue green eyes that open and close freely, black under lashes, bright rosy pink cheeks and bright red lips. Her body is in excellent tightly strung condition and buttons work with top button nodding forward and back and bottom button nodding to the right side and back. Cissy pays tribute to another great 1950s icon as she steps out in her new platinum blonde wig and her vintage black velvet torso gown looking every bit as glamorous as Marilyn Monroe herself. This 20 Cissy doll has been repaired and redressed and is now ready for a new home. Cissy did not have a wig when I found her. So she has been provided with a lovely new synthetic mohair wig that has been custom styled to resemble an authentic Cissy style. Splits in her left leg, at her knee joint and her hip, have been repaired and are now only detectable if you really go looking for them. Her only remaining flaws are some uneveness in the paint on her torso–again, only really noticeable if you’re specifically looking for it, and some thinning of the eyelashes on her right eye. She still has eyelashes all the way across the eye. They just aren’t as full as those on her left eye. Also, her green sleep eyes occasionally stick closed and need a little help to reopen. Other than these rather minor issues, Cissy is in great condition and ready for display. She has been redressed in an asymmetrically cut gown of black velvet and tulle. The gown is lined in pink satin and ornamented with a pink rose at the dropped waistline. Multiple layers of attached tulle petticoats provide fullness under the skirt, and the top layer of the skirt is embroidered with black on black flowers. I believe this is the gown from the 1996 “Onyx Velvet and Lace” modern Cissy doll, although it is not tagged. Black satin panties, black lace-topped seamed stockings, and vintage Cissy-style black high heels complete her ensemble. Oh, and of course no tribute to Marilyn Monroe would be complete with the finishing touch of a “diamond” necklace. This wonderful vintage Cissy doll is all dressed and ready for display. Kins Doll 1953 SLW Taffeta Outfit Box Blonde Wendy. Madame Alexander Kins Doll 1953 SLW Taffeta Outfit Box Blonde Wendy. You are purchasing a Madame Alexander Kins Doll 1953 SLW with a Jumper Taffeta, Matching bonnet, and Taffeta Bloomers attached to an organdy blouse original socks and the shoes may be a later 50s alexander wendy doll shoes with a box and lid. She has a blonde color hair and green eyes. She is in pat smith book on page 21 as a 1953 or early 1954 walker. Her body does do the walker movement. She is in cute displayable condition. I do not know if her box is the correct box as it has no number or writing with information. Its just an alexander smaller doll box with someone’s handwriting saying old doll on it. Her outfit is gorgeous and her cheeks are a nice coloring they have an orangey blush which looks really nice with the blonde hair. The outfit I believe is the correct coloring an in between red and pink I do not think its faded as it appears that way in the book and if its faded all three pieces are exactly the same color in all areas so its an even which I think thats almost impossible so I do not believe its faded. The outfit has minor soiling and a few minor stains all shown in the close ups overall its crisp and nice coloring. The white has aging. The organdy has a few minor pin holes. By the waist seam of the organdy there is a very small separation you can display without mends it is shown in the close ups. There is a small pop stitch on the crotch seam but no holes. The elastic is good in the bloomers. I believe the snaps may of been replaced as they are circle not square. The socks one has a small hole and both have stretch at the top. The shoes I think are replaced with later 50s or early 60s alex kins shoes as they are the suede with smooth bottoms and not the special stitching they used in the early shoes. They have some wear mostly on the bottom. The lace trims minor pulls in areas few minor broken lace threads. The hat has a small edge tear on the ribbon as shown in the close ups. She has some rubs to her colored blush as shown and some minor rubs to the eye brows. She needs a minor cleaning especially under her neck I do not clean old dolls with fear of damaging. She has minor scratches mostly on her arms and legs and I think some of it is factory as I see this frequently on the kins and minor wear. She does have a few very tiny splits on where the parts meet. They are on both upper thighs, her hip, and one on the neck which is very hard to see as her head covers it. All shown in the close ups. Her wig is nice with only minor fly aways and minor looseness to the curls its mostly in a nice setting. She is a pale color but her make up pops out. Her eyes open and closed. I gave you close ups of everything. She is still a very displayable doll I just wanted to detail any flaw I saw. She is a cutie. She is hard plastic/vinyl 20 tall and in over all bright clean original VERY GOOD condition. She has beautiful uniform coloring throughout. She has all original face paint. She has full soft pink lips, light cheek blush, blue/green sleep eyes (they are a little cloudy), thick shiny eye lashes, pale gray shadow and well defined brows. She is marked Alexander on the back of her head. She has thick shiny strawberry honey blonde hair. It falls to her shoulders in soft curls. Most of her hair is still in the original set. There are a few places that need to be coaxed back into place. I see no missing or thin plugs or cut hair. Her body looks wonderful. There are a few minuscule imperfections here and there. Please take a look at the pictures. Her limbs are tight move and will hold a pose. She has all of her beautifully sculpted fingers and toes. Wearing Original BLACK Felt suit with Velvet Flower Hat, Super Rare GLOVES!! Hose, slip (this has a couple VERY small holes and spots). The elastic is strong on panties; All made by Madame Alexander in 1950′s. I think her Face is as gorgeous as the best of the best vintage Cissy’s. I believe she is all original with absolutely no enhancements. She has such a stunning combination. Open and close eyes. Her skin tone is wonderful with no stains, no unwanted marks. Although I have not taken her panties off, (they have a great elastic waist that I want to preserve), but I have careful checked under them in all of the usual places, hip joints, crotch, knees and neck joint for seem splits or cracks and she has. Cissy’s Suit is in exceptionally wonderful condition (just the elastic is loose). Original off white satin panties with great elastic waist and lace leg trim, original back seam nylon stockings. Madame Alexander Maggie Teennager Blonde Hair 21 Hard Plastic, 1940′s. This lovely Maggie is in excellent condition. The beautiful face is very vibrant. Her blue/hazel eyes are clear, open and shut perfectly, and the eyelashes are full and all present. Maggie’s chartreuse color dress and hair bows are original. The one piece panty/slip, shoes and socks are original as well. The yellow “hand knit” sweater, and vintage straw purse were added. The doll has no spots, odors, cracks, or open seams.
