Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Golden blonde wig, in original curls, original barrette. Tagged long dress, blue lace pattern. Rhinestone drop earrings and necklace. Taffeta petticoats and satin panties. Vintage wide brim hat. Genuine mink stole with clasp and glass eyes. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. She has golden blonde hair in the original style, pulled to the back with the original metal barrette across the top and longer curls in the back, the hair may look more reddish in the photos but is more golden blonde, (I think the last photo where she is laying face down shows the hair color best). Sparkling blue eyes, nice hair lashes, painted under lashes. She has nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with. Earrings and a fabulous rhinestone necklace with clasp. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. Good strings, she holds a pose well. She is wearing her original long gown with a full circle skirt, nice body, it is a blue lace print, fully lined. The dress is very good, nice body, some slight fading in the skirt, there are some small holes in the lining. Underneath she wears a crisp blue and a white taffeta slip with tulle ruffle and ivory. The shoes are silver plastic. She carries a lovely 1950′s real mink fur stole, it has a clasp under the head, glass eyes. Her hat is after market, vintage 1950′s, ivory woven wide brim, shaped, it is. Flowers, has the cutest miniature bird. On top, comes with a hat pin. This is a very hard to find dress! Listing these days in “Dolls & Bears” is like spinning a roulette wheel–where the listing pops up, nobody knows. The outfit and the doll are original to each other, and the pieces are all correct, as far as I know. I did change out her panties at one time so the overalls would have a smoother look. She is wearing a pair of new old store stock white nylon tricot panties with an inset of pale blue lace on the left leg. The tortoise-shell finish on the glasses frame shows some wear. The flower decorations and ear pieces are intact, Straw bag and shoulder strap in good vintage condition. Her blue overalls/jumpsuit are tagged in the crotch. All snaps are present on clothing pieces. Shoe elastic still fits nicely, but not as snug as when new. Straw hat with black velvet ribbon in very good condition. The hat is sturdy. Some of these hats came with a dark blue velvet ribbon, others with black as this one. Cissy is 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Her arms are vinyl; the remainder of her body is hard plastic. The doll went to the spa quite a few years back. She received refreshed blush and matting. Can’t remember if her eyelashes were replaced, but they are all there. If there were any issues with the hard plastic, they were repaired at the time. Cissy has blue-green eyes that open and close well. Her stringing is fine, and her joints work well. I did notice when I undressed her for the pictures that her right leg is looser than the left and seems slightly shorter. She’s fine on a stand and will stand even without the assistance of one (see pictures). Her brunette wig seems to have a little weakness, i. If you comb through it, single hairs will loosen that need to be pulled out. If left alone, no problem. She has one of the wigs with the tight curls around the perimeter. I have several Cissy dolls with this wig, and they all seem to want to shed some. She is a lovely doll in a hard-to-find outfit, especially with the correct accessories. My home is smoke-free. HTF MA Cissy Doll Redhead in Camellia Ensemble HTF Light Blue Version w/ Tags. Here we have Madame Alexander Cissy doll she was displayed in a home for her lifetime a non smoker. She has no cracks chips or breaks, nice skin tone, red hair curled still with pins in it, original hat panty hoes under pants dress and shoes hard to believe! Her hat box has damage (I did accidentally closing it).. Has some dirt mark on knuckles and a brown spot on finger I think will come off with a cleaning I didn’t want to try after I broke part of her hat box it still intact but now needs repair , a bit of red on one ear from her red hair.
