Madame Alexander Dolls

Listing these days in “Dolls & Bears” is like spinning a roulette wheel–where the listing pops up, nobody knows. The outfit and the doll are original to each other, and the pieces are all correct, as far as I know. I did change out her panties at one time so the overalls would have a smoother look. She is wearing a pair of new old store stock white nylon tricot panties with an inset of pale blue lace on the left leg. The tortoise-shell finish on the glasses frame shows some wear. The flower decorations and ear pieces are intact, Straw bag and shoulder strap in good vintage condition. Her blue overalls/jumpsuit are tagged in the crotch. All snaps are present on clothing pieces. Shoe elastic still fits nicely, but not as snug as when new. Straw hat with black velvet ribbon in very good condition. The hat is sturdy. Some of these hats came with a dark blue velvet ribbon, others with black as this one. Cissy is 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Her arms are vinyl; the remainder of her body is hard plastic. The doll went to the spa quite a few years back. She received refreshed blush and matting. Can’t remember if her eyelashes were replaced, but they are all there. If there were any issues with the hard plastic, they were repaired at the time. Cissy has blue-green eyes that open and close well. Her stringing is fine, and her joints work well. I did notice when I undressed her for the pictures that her right leg is looser than the left and seems slightly shorter. She’s fine on a stand and will stand even without the assistance of one (see pictures). Her brunette wig seems to have a little weakness, i. If you comb through it, single hairs will loosen that need to be pulled out. If left alone, no problem. She has one of the wigs with the tight curls around the perimeter. I have several Cissy dolls with this wig, and they all seem to want to shed some. She is a lovely doll in a hard-to-find outfit, especially with the correct accessories. My home is smoke-free. HTF MA Cissy Doll Redhead in Camellia Ensemble HTF Light Blue Version w/ Tags. Here we have Madame Alexander Cissy doll she was displayed in a home for her lifetime a non smoker. She has no cracks chips or breaks, nice skin tone, red hair curled still with pins in it, original hat panty hoes under pants dress and shoes hard to believe! Her hat box has damage (I did accidentally closing it).. Has some dirt mark on knuckles and a brown spot on finger I think will come off with a cleaning I didn’t want to try after I broke part of her hat box it still intact but now needs repair , a bit of red on one ear from her red hair. Beautiful 1956 polish cotton polkadot dress. Cissys wearing it so beautifully with a vintage CanCan slip, vintage panties, vintage seamed stockings, The dress is not mint but it is a really good condition it has a small stain looks like small amount of yellowing, which I have not tried to get out and you dont notice it on the doll its hidden in the pleats. Other than that the dress is an excellent condition. Her body has no splits or cracks. Her nose is missing a tiny pit of paint. She does have a small mark on ankle and missing a little paint between thighs. That is not a crack in her crotch its just a darker line where the paint has worn off. 1954 Madame Alexander Kins SLW doll in tagged Blue Danube # 351. She wear a tagged dress 1954 Blue Danube dress #351. She is signed ALEX on the back. She has a triple stitch hair. She is made of hard plastic. Beautiful Blue/Green color eyes? Approximate measurements are 7.5 tall. She comes to you as you see in the photos, but she may need a little love. I didn’t notice any major problems on the dress like holes or rips but over the years the color may have little faded and some stains are present, I believe that could go away by washing it lightly. The elastic sleeves is not stretched and is still perfect. The doll is in near mint condition but I noticed a little red on the back. I have not try to cleaned but for a vintage doll doesn’t show much but I wanted to let you know everything I have noticed. The dress is still crisp and looks like it has never been washed. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy Clothing/Accessories. Rare Blue Gingham Dress – Tagged. This is a 1958 rare and hard-to-find blue checkered cotton gingham apron-front dress for the 20 Cissy that was produced as a boxed extra. A wide Val lace forms the apron-front design, and the sash comes from the darts, creating an illusion of an apron. The same trim is used on armholes. A similar design is seen on the 1957 aqua shirtwaist. The dress ties in back and has front center bust darts. This is in excellent mint condition, with no spots, rips, or stains. Cissy doll is not included. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any vintage dolls and clothes/accessories to have normal signs of age.
