Beautiful bride and bridesmaid dolls. Approx 17 inches tall. Bride has stockings, heels, garter, bouquet, earrings, head piece. Hair in very good condition. Many layers of netting. Bridesmaid has lovely pink dress with sequins, a ring on each hand, pink shoes, stockings. No holes or tears, both have sew in tags at back of dress. These were mine from childhood. They have been wrapped in white tissue. PLEASE ask any questions you may have, and look at all photos. Your 1950s Cissy Bridesmaid Doll is wearing her all-original (including the flowers which are often replaced) bridesmaid outfit, which is complete — dress, veil, stockings, bouquet, and shoes. One shoe’s elastic has some stretching going on. She has the sweetest face and perfect makeup and coloring. She has gorgeously-styled auburn hair — which is the most desirable of hair colorings for this doll. For a doll of her age, she sure looks great, and her outfit shows no yellowing, aging, tears, or stains other than a tiny pinpoint spot. Here you have my best good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind, though, that vintage/antique items always show their age — Don’t we all! ? — so please expect that there will be something about this item that’s not perfect. Even if it’s “mint” or “new-old-stock, ” it will still be somehow touched by Father Time. Cissy is in absolute MINTY condition, as detailed above. One shoe has some stretching of the elastic. At least one tiny pinpoint spot on the outfit. As with all my listings (unless explicitly stated otherwise), this comes from a NON-smoking environment. Vintage Madame Alexander AUBURN CISSETTE in 741 BRIDESMAID BLUE DRESS, 1959. Nearly complete outfit (dress, slip, panties, stockings, earrings, flowers, shoes & hat with netting). Comes with doll stand. Her pearl necklace is missing and right earring has one pearl missing (see pictures). Flower bouquet is very fragile and some stems have broken apart. Missing wrist tag invitation. There is a small stain on the backside of the dress, I have not tried to clean it. Box has some typical fading and lid has two damaged corners. Absolutely fantastic example of this 1955 Cissy blue tulle bridesmaid. She has the most gorgeous face, her hair is perfect, her gown and headpiece are perfect (with exception that I just noticed of a tiny spot on back of skirt – never noticed it till taking photos). She is all original with panties and shoes and the original tulle wrapped bouquet which is usually missing from this doll. I have collected Cissy for 32 years, and this is the only example of this rare accessory that I have ever seen. Doll with auburn hair, wearing 852 Bridesmaid complete outfit dress, slip, panties, stockings, earrings, necklace, bracelet, shoes, & hat. Found in original box with cardboard insert. Has been re-strung – sleep eyes work as they should. Gorgeous coloring without rubs, and auburn hair in original style. Her ring finger on left hand is broken off, but included for repair see 9th pic. Her pearl necklace had a break, so the ends are tied together with thread to secure (see 8th pic), one earring is darker I have not tried to clean. Elastic on silver shoes is stretched, so looped an additional time on her ankle so they would stay on for display. Her pink taffeta slip has some light speckly age spotting. O problems that I can see with any of the outfit. Box has some typical fading and lid has two repaired corners. Found at a recent estate and appears she was kept in her box over the years. Vintage Madame Alexander Rosamund Bridesmaid hard plastic walker doll made 1951-53 and shown on page 178 of Madame Alexander Collector’s Dolls: Second Series , by Patricia R. Rosamund is gorgeous and all original in excellent virtually unplayed with condition! Rosamund has original, gorgeous, face paint with apple cheeks and lovely dark rootbeer eyes with all of their lashes. Rosamund doll’s outfit is tagged and has no damage (it still is crisp)! Rosamund doll has dark red hair that is in its original set with loads of curls (it is a bit flat from storage and the bangs need taming but no biggies). Rosamund doll’s hat is wonderful and something that is often lost with its original flowers and chin strap. Rosamund doll’s walker is working well and smoothly and she is well strung. Rosamund doll has her original painties and stockings both in great condition without damage or repair! A truely rare and wonderful doll for a beginning or an advanced collector!
