Madame Alexander Dolls

The dress is in excellent condition, fabric maintains it’s original finish and the fabric and tag are crisp. She also is wearing a pink taffeta slip, nylons, panties(may be not be original, but are the right vintage and style) and original pink Cissy shoes with flower decorations. She is still wearing her original drop pearl earrings and she carries a straw handbag. Her hair is in a curled ponytail at the nap of her neck. She has her metal bar on her head and a lovely pink satin ribbon above her curls. She has a lovely complexion and full lashes. There are no cracks inside her legs. I have included several pictures to show the condition. I’ve done my best to describe this as accurately as possible. Please study the pictures closely, as I will show pictures of nearly every part possible. Comes from non-smoking home. Whenever I can, I start low without reserve. An item shouldn’t have a starting price that is equal to it’s value. That’s no fun! I pack every item with care. And if they are judged unfairly… Most of the time I charge a little less. A truly beautiful tagged dress from 1955. It looks much prettier in real life than my pictures show. Sometimes called the “Dorothy” dress by collectors. Comes with original black velvet belt and bows on shoulders. This example is in the harder to find darker blue. Organdy sleeves of dress have just begun to pull away from shoulder in small spots. This is not noticeable unless one looks for it and dress makes a beautiful display. I bought this dress in a lot of clothing so I do not know if it has been washed. It is very slightly wrinkled; it had been stored for many years. Shown on page 56 of Shaw’s Cissy Files book.
