Madame Alexander Southern Belle Sharlene 48390 Cissette 10 2008, NRFB. Southern Belle Sharlene is a 10 Cissette doll. Cissette wears an elaborate white pin stripped dress accented with blue stitching and ribbons and underlying hoop. She wears a matching white and blue hat (hat is packaged under her skirt in the box) and white lace gloves. Southern Belle Sharlene has blonde hair and blue eyes. Released in 2008, Southern Belle is a part of the Arts collection and is a limited edition of 500 pieces; her included COA says that she is #209 out of 500. This Madame Alexander doll carries on the tradition of The Alexander Doll Company, which has been known for its elegant and beautifully costumed dolls for over 90 years. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissette 801 w/ original box, outfit and clothing as pictured. I think I received her about 1958 before Barbie came out. She is in her original box and wearing her original outfit of pink slip, panties, stockings and pink shoes with flower and rhinestone. Also the gold purse and shoes were original. She may have actually been wearing the gold shoes. The other items I collected later. THe 2 dresses have the Cissette vintage tag. The pink robe has an Alexanderkins tag. I believe the 2 hats in front may be newer and the 1 in back vintage. Don’t know if they are Alexander or not. Note; there are some smudges on her face in the pic in the box; They wiped off; look at the pic with her eyes open for a more accurate representation of her face. Beautiful bright Face coloring with green Eyes that open and close freely. Her Body is in excellent condition and tightly strung. Both Knees bend fine. Cissette is wearing a Cissette tagged yellow dotted Swiss lace Dress, tagged full Cissette pink Slip, Undies, Nylons and Cissette type white Shoes. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissette doll. Tosca hair, triple stitched part. Wearing tagged red dress with white trim. Taffeta slip, red horsehair hat, red. & red high heel shoes. Presented here is a fabulous 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissette doll. She has tosca hair with a triple stitched part wig, still in most of the original lovely curls, the hair is pretty smooth with a nice sheen. The eyes open and close freely, hard upper lashes, painted under lashes, single stroke brows, coral mouth, nice coloring. The doll is hard plastic, bent knee, good strings, holds a pose well, marked on the back; MME Alexander, no splits. Tagged, it is red with white trim, circle skirt, buttons in the front and a square snap. She has a taffeta slip with lace edge, red taffeta panties, red molded plastic high heels with bows on the toes and a the most adorable red horsehair hat with flocked flowers on top. The clothing is all in excellent vintage condition. The written description is based on my opinion and observation of the item. With blonde hair arranged with forehead curls and flip, wearing tagged blue polished cotton shirtwaist with white braid trim, white taffeta petticoat, panties, stockings, white slings with silver heels, pearl earrings, white woven bonnet with blue streamers. Alexander, Cissette, circa 1960, model 810, described in the catalog as “for tea in the garden, simple cotton dress trimmed with braid” is in good condition with crisp coloring. Note: Condition is as seen. One shoe is missing. There are few tiny discolorations on the dress and yellowing on the slip. Her earrings have tarnished. I have replaced her hose.
