Welcome to my auctions! She is 20 tall, hard plastic body and soft vinyl jointed arms. Her knees are also jointed for posing. She is wearing a gorgeous reproduction of the taffeta gown with the side drape, made in 1956. It is well made and follows Alexander’s design to the T. It is made of a medium weight taffeta in cornflower blue. Underneath she wears a long nylon taffeta slip with stiff tulle. Matching panties long, tight nylon stockings and silver strap high heel Cissy shoes, complete her outfit. She is shown with a long white faux fur stole that has a cluster of vintage roses and is lined in white satin and embroidered C. I also show her with a white feather fan tied in blue ribbon. Her only jewelry is a signature rhinestone bracelet and glued on rhinestone dots for earrings. She has no holes in her ears. She has a very dark brunette wig, pulled back on both sides into a tight cluster at her neck. Her face is lovely with a light peach complexion, blush, full lashes, one stoke brows, blue green eyes, and coral mouth. No breaks, cuts, or odors. From smoke free home. For your discernment we are offering a Fabulous Minty Madame Alexander Cissy Doll #2141. Cissy girl was manufactured during the year 1957 in New York, NY. Everything Cissy is wearing is in excellent condition. Stunning clear light blue eyes, lashes so thick and full, blonde thick hair has a fantastic high shine and in the original set from the factory and still retains the gold metal spanner bar and lets not forget about the rhinestone pocket watch. The much loved MA seamed stockings are free from any damage, pretty white all lace slip is perfect, navy taffeta dress is crisp and looks and feels as if were new, the MA Cissy tag on the dress is also nice and crisp, taffeta cream and lace panties are in excellent condition, gloves have no runs or damage, white horse hair hat retains the original white flowers in very good condition, organdy white tiered cape is crisp and very clean, Cissys face colors are magnificent, silver mesh bracelet with clear rhinestones is also wonderful, I added a cute little white handbag just for fun. Cissys body has no issues and can be posed in any way you would prefer. I happen to have one of the earliest and not so great of shape MA Cissy Doll Box. Vintage 20 Madame Alexander CISSY Doll Brunette Nude TLC. Here is a vintage Madame Alexander cissy doll in need of TLC. She has cracks in her legs above the knee joint. She also has some cracking up at the hip. She has scratches on her body as you can see in the photos. Shes missing eyelashes on one eye. Also listen its like a chip to the glass eye on one side. Her eyes are a very strange brownish blue color. Im not sure if they were meant to be that way or if theyve changed over time. Her hair is also a mess as you can see. For sale in this listing is Madame Alexander Cissy’s “Bittersweet” sundress made in 1956. The HTF sundress was a part of the “Cissy Takes a Trip” trunk set marketed by F. This information is from “The Cissy Files” reference book. Some of these dresses opened all the way down the back with buttons and buttonholes; others just opened to the waist with buttons and buttonholes. That is how this dress opens. I don’t know which model came with the trunk set. Whichever it was, the boxed dress likely opened the other way. This dress is tagged and has not been washed. I have had it a long time, but it has remained stored during my ownership and not displayed. I did want to show it on a Cissy doll so you can see how prettily it will display. The tag will not lay flat, but I see no other issues with the dress. It’s a great piece to have in your Cissy collection, and, hopefully, you will display it. The Cissy model, her necklace, shoes and stand are not included in the listing. My home is smoke-free, and an air purifier runs 24/7 in the doll room. Thank you for viewing. The doll is pictured on page #81 of the book Cissy R. ” and #113 in the book “The Cissy Files. There are no splits or cracks to the doll. The doll has clear blueish eyes, full original eye lashes, ruby red lips, and a gorgeous red ponytail wig in the original set. There are no holes rips tears or stains to her outfit, it is “Minty”. The shoes are vintage Alexander there are chips in the paint on the soles but elastic is very good not stretched and the flowers and ruby colored rhinestones are all original and present. Welcome to my auctions! Cissy is 20 tall with hard plastic body and soft vinyl jointed arms.. She has a deep brunette wig, pulled back into a cluster of curls with 2 two small curls on her forehead. She is an infused doll with high cheek color, one stroke brows, full lashes, green eyes and red mouth. Her outfit is rare to find. It consists of a crisp gold lace skirt, with red flower corsage on side of waist, green jersey top, gold belt, and rhinestone pin. Under the skirt is a crisp yellow half slip with tulle ruffle and yellow panties. She wears full long nylon stockings and has gold high heels with red velvet flowers. Three things I have to mention. She came to me without a belt, so I made one for her. Her shoes are reproduction, but I have her original shoes and will send them with her. The elastic was loose, so that is why I replaced them. Also the blouse she is wearing is different from most Cissy tops. The closure in back is different too and old bias tape was used on the inside of the blouse. I presume it is correct. I got the doll from the original owner years ago and presume she is factory original. I have nothing to compare her to, as this outfit is seldom seen. For your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Madame Alexander. Cissy wearing the rare boxed extra Daisy Dress from 1955. The last 2 pictures are taken from. Shaw states in her second book. The Daisy Dress pictured is on everyone’s bucket list… Including the author’s! I’ve had this dress for many years – it came to me in a trunk with a Cissy and many beautiful clothes. I would not have known it was a Madame Alexander except for the tag. I surely did not know that it was rare until Ms. Shaw published her books – many thanks to her for these excellent resources. This dress still has the original flower corsage stapled to the bodice!! It has been carefully washed once due to yellowing from age and storage, but. Retains the beautiful body and sheen of polished cotton. The fabric is in excellent shape, including the gauze sleeves. Her dark brown hair appears to be in the original setting – I added dark pink vintage flowers for accent. Are blue with fairly full lashes which. Open and close as they should. Her eyes seem to be. A bit off set. I think this could be fixed; however, this is not something I wanted to try. Her original owner said she had been repaired in the past and possibly this occurred during or prior to that repair. Her complexion is beautiful and I do not know if she was repainted with the mentioned repair. Her stringing is very good. Otherwise, she is a lovely doll and would be an excellent addition to your collection. And gloves are Madame Alexander. One shoe has petals missing from the flower. I’m including 2 similar roses if you want to repair or replace it (see pictures 3 and 4 by hatbox). I’m unsure about stockings and ring, although ring is vintage. Her slip and panties are vintage, but not made by Alexander. The hatbox is a reproduction. I try to describe as accurately as possible but may leave. Something out please look at the pictures carefully. As they are the most important part of the description. Remember, this is a vintage doll over 50 plus years old. As a new doll would. I will be listing a few more Cissy’s hopefully by December, as well as other Madame Alexander, Arranbee, and others from my collection after Christmas, so please check back.
