Madame Alexander Dolls

For your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy. Her auburn hair is in the original setting. Are a pretty blue with full lashes which open and close as they should. Her stringing is very good. Has no flaws that I can. See just a beautiful doll. Cissy is wearing one of the Navy Polka Dot dresses, tagged, from 1958. It is made from polished cotton with white cuffs, and to my knowledge, has never been washed as the fabric is very crisp and retains a beautiful sheen. The last picture is taken from. Her panties and shoes are made by Madame Alexander. She wears a vintage slip made of flocked material. Her hat was made from all vintage material as a replica of the original. Her jewelry, pearl necklace, pearl earrings and gold diamond ring were added. I try to describe as accurately as possible but may leave something out please look at the pictures carefully. The most important part of the description. Remember, this is a vintage doll over 50 plus years old. Perfection, as a new doll would. 1957-58 Cissy, Clothes and Armoire Collection. 1957 Bright, infused plastic Cissy with brunette wig in original set. Clear Blue sleep eyes with brush lashes and red lips. No seam splits, repairs or rehab for this doll. She is in factory original condition. Spectacular rhinestone earrings and solitaire ring. Doll Condition Issues: A few tiny black dots on her face when you blow up the photos. Brown string holding the curls at her neck replaced. #2120 1957 Gold Theater Outfit is original to this doll. Golden yellow satin full skirted dress with matching swing coat. Coat lined in white. Look at how crisp her undergarments are! Panties and lace slip retain the original millinery flowers. They are not crushed or faded. Elastic waistbands are tight and still stretchy. Condition issues: Gold elastic heels are torn. Her original black tulle or net stole was missing. For a fresh look inspired by her gorgeous undergarments, I added vintage pink tulle and millinery flowers that were repurposed from a 1950s ladies hat instead of the traditional black. Nylon Nightgown and floral Robe with puff sleeves. Heels: White and pink elastic heels with lace and flowers. One shoe missing the flower. Both a bit stretched. Pink striped cotton skirt, shorts and skirt set. Skirt has crisp Tag. Condition Issues: Shorts have a tiny mark on the back. Middle Buttonhole stitching on blouse is unraveling. Cabana Skirt & Hat. Yellow cotton striped skirt, amazing straw hat with original fruit and tortoise sunglasses for the Cabana swimsuit outfit. Last outfit is handmade from a 1950s Pattern. White and red pique Capri pants outfit. Vintage Wood Wardrobe with lovely knobs. Most likely produced by Halls Lifetime Doll Furniture. Just one minor scratch to note on lower left side of left door. 2 drawers and a shelf on left side and hanging rod on the right side. Vintage wire hangers for all outfits. This dress was made by a favorite professional with much experience in dressing our dolls. I love this dress, this whole set is exquisitely made by Donna, Donna’s Creations. You will not find many ensembles like this one. The dress is made using Madame Alexander standards. The bodice is lined, it closes with snaps and has a fulI skirt hand hemmed. Donna has made a very special half slip to go with this and it can be worn either side out. Also the dress has a drop waist and Donna made the panty so that it would sit slightly below the waist, avoiding any bunching up of material at the waistline. Another fine feature is that the slip closes with a snap, no bunching of material at the waist line with the elastic materials. There is also a wrap from the same material as is the dress. This is a soft lace designed material. CHECK whe set has been very well taken care of and is in excellent condition. NO DOLL, JEWELRY, OR OTHER ACCESSORIES INCLUDED. Up for sale is a Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. This Stunning Cissy is one of the Most Beautiful Brunettes I have seen in a long time. She is All Original and is in Pristine Condition. Cissy is 20 tall, made of hard plastic with vinyl sleeved arms and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. She has exceptional crystal blue eyes with full lashes, perfect high color rosy cheeks, red lips and blushed hands and knees. She has no cracks or splits and no signs of play-wear. She is an Exquisite All Original Girl dressed in an Absolutely Stunning Creation by the Extraordinary Recreations by Ann. Tea-length dress sewn in a soft embroidered lavender with a scalloped hem, bodice is lined in lavender taffeta and white organdy and closes in the back with 4 square snaps. Lavender rhinestones sprinkle down the front of the bodice and the front of the full skirt. Underneath is a lavender taffeta tulle and rick rack trimmed petticoat and lavender taffeta French lace trimmed panties. A lavender satin sash with flowers is added to the front of the dress. This is a beautiful Cissy wearing the yellow floral taffeta dress. She is not without problems. Her body has red stains on her leg and panties and petticoat slip. Her dress displays beautiful but did have substantial moth damage in the front. I have repaired it to the best of my abilities and it is not very noticeable at all, look at pictures closely. Her sandals have been replaced because elastic on her original set have stretched with age. Her jewelry is all original along with the cameo on her bodice. All in all she displays beautifully and would be a wonderful addition to your collection. Listing these days in “Dolls & Bears” is like spinning a roulette wheel–where the listing pops up, nobody knows. The outfit and the doll are original to each other, and the pieces are all correct, as far as I know. I did change out her panties at one time so the overalls would have a smoother look. She is wearing a pair of new old store stock white nylon tricot panties with an inset of pale blue lace on the left leg. The tortoise-shell finish on the glasses frame shows some wear. The flower decorations and ear pieces are intact, Straw bag and shoulder strap in good vintage condition. Her blue overalls/jumpsuit are tagged in the crotch. All snaps are present on clothing pieces. Shoe elastic still fits nicely, but not as snug as when new. Straw hat with black velvet ribbon in very good condition. The hat is sturdy. Some of these hats came with a dark blue velvet ribbon, others with black as this one. Cissy is 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Her arms are vinyl; the remainder of her body is hard plastic. The doll went to the spa quite a few years back. She received refreshed blush and matting. Can’t remember if her eyelashes were replaced, but they are all there. If there were any issues with the hard plastic, they were repaired at the time. Cissy has blue-green eyes that open and close well. Her stringing is fine, and her joints work well. I did notice when I undressed her for the pictures that her right leg is looser than the left and seems slightly shorter. She’s fine on a stand and will stand even without the assistance of one (see pictures). Her brunette wig seems to have a little weakness, i. If you comb through it, single hairs will loosen that need to be pulled out. If left alone, no problem. She has one of the wigs with the tight curls around the perimeter. I have several Cissy dolls with this wig, and they all seem to want to shed some. She is a lovely doll in a hard-to-find outfit, especially with the correct accessories. My home is smoke-free. Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy Tagged HTF 1957 Lavender Box Pleats Outfit & Hat. THERE IS NO DOLL INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING! Outfit consists of lavender taffeta dress with flower at neckline, matching taffeta bolero, original pink half slip with net ruffle, and original hat. The taffeta is crisp and clean. Straw, flowers, and velvet ribbon on hat are in excellent condition but there are some breaks in the veiling. Another thing to report is a place on the side waist of dress where a stand must have gotten caught and snagged the fabric, leaving some pin holes. This is covered by the bolero when the doll is dressed, but it is a flaw that should be considered. The outfit with hat is a HTF ensemble, and it will look gorgeous on any Cissy.
