BRUNETTE ELISE 15 MADAME ALEXANDER FIFTIES DOLL TAGGED GOWN. For sale is a pretty brunette Madame Alexander Elise doll from the fifties. She stands 15 tall flat footed. She is in very nice condition. Her body, head and legs are of hard plastic with jointed knees and feet. Her arms are of soft vinyl and are also jointed. They are nice and tight. The arms have a new band on them. Her brunette hair is in the original do. In the back it appears there is a bare space but when combed properly, it covers the spot. No hair is missing. She has eyes that work very nicely and has full eyelashes. When her eyes are closed you can see that there is some paint missing on her eyelids. That is the only damage I see. Her pretty lace gown is tagged with an Elise tag. There is a place on the bottom row of the lace where it was torn and has been sewed back together. She has on a full slip and also a hoop under that. Rarely seen, wonderful FAO Schwarz Horse and Sleigh listed in 1960 FAO Schwarz catalog. Beautiful FAO Schwarz toy – gently played with but in lovely vintage condition. All reins, straps, and harness gear there. Nothing missing or torn. Not Mint but oh, soooo rare and complete as advertised in catalog. Some wear areas to green or red of sleigh. The glue holding the cream-colored, flocked surface of the plastic horse coat has lost the fuzzy flocking in some areas and there is some light staining to the coat over the back haunches. Contact me for additional photos of this. Leg wrappings and hooves of horse are in original condition also. Blonde mane and tail are full and original. The sleigh actually attaches to the horse as a real sleigh would. Description of Horse and Sleigh From 1960 FAO Schwarz catalog. ASLEIGHING WE WILL GO (Exclusive). Madame Alexander Bride #17 55. Veil and bouquet are beautiful, the flower are forget me nots. Shes wearing her original earrings, ring, necklace garter, plus nylons and shoes. Her necklace clasp rusted (I Relaced it with another necklace from Marybel bride).. And stained her neck area a little in the front and the back. Please see the photos. Her hair although a gorgeous golden blonde is messy in the back. Probably from laying down and from removing the veil from time to time. Her skirt is amazingly fall and gathered and does not allow this beautiful V-shaped satin sash to sit as flat as I would like. I did take it and have it professionally pressed but it still does not allow for the sash to sit flat. Even with all of this she is beautiful to display and her face is so sweet. I dont think shes a Marybel, I dont know which Elise she is. Just says Elise # 1765. Dress is made of 2 layers of nylon tulle trimmed with 4 layers of gathered lace trim. But I have been told that thats actually the part number for a different doll. The box lid is missing pieces. A small amount of soiling on clothes. Original Panty Hose , Left Leg is Soiled. Yellow spotting on Coat around the collar area , Lavender ribbon was added to jacket , to match Original Tagged dress. Shoes have a little Frayed edges on the tops. Also Included is her Round fur hat approx 5 across with Lavender flowers on top , Hat Needs to be cleaned and no longer retains it’s elasticity.
