This is a gorgeous vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander “ELISE”. She is 16 tall. She has auburn hair tightly curled, blue sleep eyes, great facial paint only one slight cheek scratch, fully jointed and marked Madame Alexander. Her dress is un-marked but fits her exactly. The dress is a light yellow with a double under-slip… Beautiful with yellow embossed Sun, Moon and Stars all over it. She does not have pierced ears. She comes with an excellent condition vintage Straw hat but the original elastic has stretched over the years yet it still works just fine. She also has panties, nylons and flowered high heels. Here today is an absolutely gorgeous vintage 16 inch Elise doll and outfits with boxes made by Madame Alexander in the 1950′s. Elise is all original with NO enhancements. She has no unwanted marks, discoloration, stains and no odors. Her shiny brunette wig is in excellent condition retaining its perfect little curls, it doesn’t appear to have ever been combed. Her face paint is beautiful and vivid with no marks or smudges, I have not cleaned her so she could use maybe a very light sponge bath to rid any dust. Elise has stunning crystal clear open and close blue eyes, full set of hair eyelashes as well as painted lover lashes, stroked brows, vivid blushed cheeks and dark coral/pink painted lips. She has all fingers and toes. Her stringing is just perfect with no loose, chipped or cracked joints. All joints including her ankles are the perfect tension. All joints function as they were made to do. The boxes are in very good condition. Im uncertain if the clothing inside of the boxes are the actual ones that coincide with the numbers on the boxes. Both untagged outfits have the pinking sheers cutting at the seems that is a characteristic of Madame Alexander clothing. The little peddle pushers have a very small and faint spot that is hardly noticeable. The rest of the clothing has no stains, no holes and no discoloring. Its sad to say but the outfits and their boxes have a slight smoke smell. Maybe with time and an airing out or possibly a laundering the smoke will dissipate. Everything as shown in the pictures are included but please note that the boxes and her outfits will be packaged in plastic so there should be no transfer of smells. Elise has only had the clothing on today for the pictures and then promptly removed. Elise is absolutely stunning that would make a lovely addition to a Madame Alexander doll collection. If it weren’t for the issue of the odor the outfits and boxes are all in excellent condition. Some pictures today were taken with a flash and others were in normal daylight. This Sleeping Beauty was produced in 1959 with a brand new face sculpt and an Elise body. Her crisply tagged heavy slipper satin gown is trimmed in gold & closes at the back with three square snaps. There are a couple of small scuffs near the bottom hem which are of no consequence, as you can see by the photos. This gorgeous gown has no rips, holes or tears. Her lovely gold lace cape drapes her shoulders & falls beautifully over the gown, closing at the front with a gold bow. This cape is perfect, with no rips, holes or tears. Underneath Sleeping Beauty wears her original taffeta panties, original ruffled full length slip & original hosiery each of the stockings has a whole at the toe. She also wears her original golden spiked heels, original rhinestone necklace & a sparkling “diamond” on her finger. Sleeping Beauty’s original crown is flawless, with clear bright stones & shiny gold trim. Beauty’s features & coloring are simply gorgeous! She has a peaches & cream complexion & she is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL, with no paint touch-ups whatsoever. Her long golden wig falls in curls at her shoulders, and her crystal clear baby blue eyes have full, original lashes. Circa 1957, Madame Alexander hard plastic Elise doll with jointed legs and ankles, vinyl jointed arms, blonde saran wig with center part hairstyle, blue sleep eyes with molded eyelashes, rosy lips and pink cheeks, diamond earrings, wearing original #1636 “Junior League” tagged purple taffeta dress with tagged white coat, white fur hat with cloth flowers, original slip, underwear, sheer stockings, and purple high heeled shoes. Size: 16 inches tall. Doll is in unplayed with condition, the edge of the left eyelash is slightly bent, wig is in the original set, dress is crisp and there are no stains or odors, the back of the dress is wrinkled from being stored in box, stockings are held in place by the elastic, straps on left shoe is slightly loose tight. Madame Alexander Elise dolls, quantity of 2, are all original, tagged and both dolls have their red spike heels (elastic on both pairs of shoes has been stretched, cut). The doll in the red skirt is beautiful, cream color jacket, striped top underneath jacket, flocked slip, taffeta panties. The doll in the white slacks has beautiful original hair, no underwear, no stockings… The white slacks may have been washed, there is a light stain on the front of the slacks. The white halter top is great and the navy jacket has some signs of fading when examined. From a smoke free home. There are not enough nice things to say about this beautiful doll. Elise has lovely shiny brown hair in its original set. Her coloring is fantastic. She has beautiful highly blushed all original facial coloring and a lovely all over tone to her skin. Her body is free of an cracks and and would be perfect if not for a stain on the back of her right leg. She was stored with an extra pink hat with pink flowers and I think the pink flowers must have. Color to her leg. It is really hard to see with her stocking on but when you take them off you can see the mark. I do not have a lot of experiences with Elise and most of the dolls I have had have been ballerinas. This Elise has a body I have not had before and she is made like a Cissy with a metal bar running through the middle and legs that can not be removed. All the Elise dolls I have seen before have had hollow bodies without the metal bar so I wanted to mention this because I found it to be very interesting. Elise comes in a beautiful pink dress made of a shiny polished cotton and with a beautiful texture to it. The dress is in excellent condition with no stains, holes tears or odors. The dress has a lovely bouquet of flowers at the waist that still look new and are absolutely beautiful. Under her dress she has a beautiful pink lace slip with nice tight stretch to the elastic waist. The only thing missing is Elises bloomers. She came to me wearing a girdle so for whatever reason the little girl who owned her changed out her underwear at some point in time. To me this is the only evidence this doll was ever played with as everything else seems really minty and in unplayed with condition. She has on nice stocking with no runs that I can find. Elise wears beautiful sliver spike heels with nice stretch. To finish off this outfit is an absolutely perfect pink cloche straw hat. The pink color of the hat is vibrant and it has not aged a bit. The flowers are excellent as well and match the dress perfectly. All together this is one of the prettiest Elises I have seen and she will be a stand out in your collection! Her face color is high and her hair is still in its original style and she has her original pearl necklace and pierced earrings. Her lashes are lush and there are no rubs in the cheek color. She looks like a debutante #1830 with heat set tiny pleats in the filmy pink organza material that is lined in a pink silky fabric and the dress is a long style. The bodice has silk flowers in excellent shape that match those in the hat. Her nylons and shoes are all original and her skin is flawless. This doll has the jointed ankles in additional to the arms and knees and she can wear heels as well as flat shoes. This doll has had one owner and she only took her out of the box to look at as she was her “good” dolly. The hat is in wonderful shape and this minty doll would be a wonderful additional to any collection and if you refresh the tissue paper, is nice enough to give as a gift!
