She has been a treasured and very nicely-preserved 11 Madame Alexander Scarlett OHara. TMade in 1939, her composition is in excellent condition. Only slight paint rubs detected at joint s. Her black mohair wig is shiny and soft and as it was when she was brand new. She is original from her wonderful straw hat to her shoes and socks. Her dress has retained vibrant color and has no area that is stained or torn. She has clear blue eyes and her lashes are full. FROM THE HOME OF A SMOKING COLLECTOR. This doll is in lovely condition for a vintage doll She is a 14 Margaret face Madame Alexander from 1950. She has her bracelet but does not have shoes and her hairpiece was destroyed (I will send the remnants with her). Her dress has staining but is structurally sound with no damage. Her hair is in excellent set and her eyes work well. She will be due to restring soon but she currently is holding her head and limbs well. Her right hand has a bit of light damage on the top (perhaps cuts) but fingers and toes are fully intact in on all limbs. A nice doll from the 1950′s with a highly desirable Margaret face. This is one of the most beautiful dolls that Madame Alexander ever made! And that Maribel face, just stunning! She is almost 100% perfect. Her only flaws are that she doesnt have her earrings, no box and she has 2 tears in her tutu. The good news is that you can find replacement earrings and the tears in the tutu are repairable. Now let me brag on this beauty. She wears her original rubber ballet slippers with original laces, she is posable, her complection and all over skin tone is just fabulous, but her original hairdo and band of flowers with original strap are absolutely perfect! Her crystal blue eyes open and close nicely and WOW! The outfit has 4 complete square snaps, a blue satin ribbon at the waist , blue satin bodice and panties with attached tulle. Her eyes are highlighted with molded eyelashes, as well as individually painted lashes on the bottom and sides of her eyes. Her face, torso, and limbs are hard plastic with five pieces. She is well strung and poses beautifully. Her body and limbs are exceptionally clean, undamaged, and free of issues, or blemishes. She is a sleep eye doll, and her eyes open and close easily. Her wig appears factory fresh, or close to it, with thick hair pulled back into two lovely braids with her blue ribbons at the ends. Her coloring is a matte suntanned appearance with lightly blushed cheeks. —She is a beauty from the original owner’s showcase. This doll was kept in the family of a vast doll collection from the 1930s through the 1970s. Her hair is full with no thinning areas. Her face, body, and limbs are close to flawless. She shows the most minor rub of color from her arm and shoulder joint area. This Madame Alexander Southern Girl was made from 1940 to 1943. She has the Wendy Ann face and is made of composition as all Wendy Anns are. She has a strawberry blonde mohair wig in very nice condition. Her eyes are clear and blue, they open and close properly, and she has full lashes. Her face and arms have very fine crazing, and there are paint rubs (photo) where they dont show at the hip joint of the right leg. Other small paint rubs are on photos. Just let me know. The shoes are made of ivory satin as many of Madames brides have. Her gown – tagged Madame Alexander on the back of the neckline, the hoop skirt and pantaloons are all in beautiful condition. I have added a pretty little bouquet made of vintage flowers, and added some of the same under the wide, floppy brim of her woven hat. There were dangling threads there that appeared to have served the same purpose. I have also restrung her and she can hold a nice pose on her own! We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 17″ or 18″ Madame Alexander, marked ALEXANDER, hard plastic Mary Martin doll with a lovely sun tanned matte complexion. She is from the years 1948 through 1950. Her nicely blushed cheeks and full lovely lips are stunning. She is strung nicely, strong and tight for her head and legs, so she can hold a pose beautifully for display. Her arms do not hold a pose. Someday, in the far future, you will want to have her restrung. — —-Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Please take note of her stunning unclouded eyes with full intact molded eyelashes that fringe her eyes. Plus, she has the lighter color eyelids for a real striking appearance. Her eyebrows are unfaded. Her caracul hair is full and even with no thinning or missing areas. I see a little fleck of missing color under her right ear. — —-This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for an almost 70 year-old doll. Her coloring is even, beautifully blushed, and her color is unfaded. Her lips are bright and full. She is marked, very lightly, on the back of her neck. I can make out “EXAND”. —- —-Both of her clear unclouded eyes open and close completely. Her long molded eyelashes are complete and intact. Her eyes are stunning. Her outfit is custom to her, and an amazing fit, so it seems it is original. — Wow, I have never seen such an exquisite gown. This dress is not tagged. I have now seen the Mary Martin dress, and I know it is a white formal. There were some variations in the colors of trimming : red or green are the colors I have seen. I found the Doll Edition June 15, 2018 was a lovely photo. You can find many photos by googling Mary Martin formal or checking out the Doll Edition on Facebook. The fit, the style, it mustbe a classic over the top amazing Madame Alexander design. One could be a tiny pin prick size hole, but it is so little it is hard to see if it is just thinned. The snap buttons are well attached in the back. The top layer appears free of flaws, holes, or issues. The satin layer underneath is close to factory fresh. Included with this dress is the original velvety matching waist tie, her aged but displayable bright and crisp satin no heel shoes, and her intact lovely nylon pantyhose. Her white pretty panties are no longer stretchy. —She is intact and complete. She is beautiful and free of issues. —-She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her untagged dress is fresh and crisp with no major detracting noticeable major sign of age related, or sun, discoloration. I feel the photographs portray her well. The satin on the dress, panties, and slip are all clean, bright, and very displayable. —-Her hair is full with no missing or thinning areas. It is very true to the original style. The color of her hair is stunning. —She shows no age or discoloration. She does not show any marks, or rubs of missing color on her fingers, legs, or body. She does have the minor marks on her right leg, but you will not noticem and I believe they are washable. She shows nothing majorly detracting from her displayable condition. — —-Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, no splits under her ears or on her seams, or major damage. We will not include her stand. — Please write with any questions. She is in very good condition with only her loose head and tarnished original tiara as problems. The tiara is held in place with 3 original nails into her head. She is appropriately tagged “Madame Alexander”. She also has her hang tag. She is wearing her original jewelry earrings and gauntlet gloves and bracelets. She is wearing original stocking, panties, slip and closed toe shoes in brocade. My dolls are all around 50-80 years old. I consider them TLC and some are in better condition than others. This is a beautiful hard to find Madame Alexander 18 Margaret O’Brien face doll, marked Alexander on her back. She is wearing mommy made clothes. She has blue eyes and ginger colored. Hair & long eyelashes. Her face color is very pretty. Measures approx 18 H. She is in very good “Vintage” condition. She does have some some crazing on her face and 2 small flea bites as seen in pics. Her hair is in nice condition. The Coat, Cape & Blue, blue dress with flowers have some condition issues due to age. The pink and white tagged dress has black ribbon that I don’t believe is original to the dress, but it looks cute. This doll may need to be re-strung. Her joints are loose & she could use a cleaning.
