This lovely Cissy looks ready to be dressed and put on display. She is in wonderful very good condition with a lovely, elaborate replaced wig, styled years ago by Ms. Greta of the Madame Alexander Doll Company in New York. In platinum blonde, the wig is late vintage MA and so appropriate for Cissy. With high face color and pretty blue sleep eyes, Cissy will come to her new owner, ready to be dressed for a shopping trip or a black tie gala affair. Two flaws are a high leg split which I filled to prevent furthur separation and the inside of her upper left arm is missing a few bits of the vinyl that fits inside the shoulder. It was just pointed out to me that Cissy has replaced eyelashes and an eyelid smudge on her left eye. If I can correct the smudge I will. They don’t get much nicer than this! Kelly is in mint condition with tagged dress and hang tag. High color cheeks, no rubs or scratches. Blue sleep eyes with all their lashes. Her hair is in the factory original set and even still has the factory original styling gel with original pink hair bow. Crispy clean clothes, no stains or holes. I put tissue paper under her dress to flare it out. Pink taffeta underwear with matching half slip, both with good elastic. Original fuzzy side snap shoes and knit socks. Rare 12 Edith The Lonely Doll limited edition felt doll by Madame Alexander #41425 from 2005 based on the Edith character in Dare Wright’s classic book The Lonely Doll. This is the 20-21 Cissy by Madame Alexander. She is coming to you in a handmade lingerie suit (not pictured). She does not have earring holes but with her very fulll wig you can rarely get a glimpse of her ear lobes. I warn you, Cissy can be addictive, at least she is for me, I love them! This Cissy is one I got from Susan Wells Roberts (Pearlsgirls). I totally trust that Susan has given the thorough gone over with the Cissy’s, she is absolutely amazing with them. Susan is another master at restoration when it comes to these dolls. This Cissy has an excellent body. I have trouble getting her left leg bent all the way at the knee. It bends about half way for me. I have shown in my pictures that Cissy has a few marks on the neck. You really can’t notice it especially if wearing pearls. Her face is sealed with a matte sealer, not done by me, came this way to me. She has beautiful blush and a tremendously thick wig. The more I look at it, I believe the torso has had a bit of applied body makeup in an attempt to cover the scratch marks on her neck. I haven’t done anything to her, only enjoyed displaying her. She has the sweetest face!! Cissy has beautiful clear eyes that are nicely set. Eyes that are not both focused on the same thing is one thing that drives me crazy if my dolls have it and this girl has beautifully set eyes. The stand is not included. The dresses and accessories shown are not included, only a one piece handmade lingerie suit. Our home is non smoking and she has no odors.
