Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a lovely example of a Madame Alexander CISSY Doll in the Walking the Dog outfit from 1956. She is missing the blue necklace and the dog, but has the wonderful pink shoes which were exclusive to this outfit. The black velvet skirt is flawless with a perfect magenta pink velvet waistband with metal flowers. Many times the velvet is shredded. Stocking and bloomers are fine. As for this doll no problems, no cracks or splits and wonderful hair. Looking above her left eyebrow there is some black lines, don’t know what they are, but they are there. Netting kind of hides them though. I know I just tore this doll apart but she really is a fantastic looking doll. Her stringing is good and tight. No international orders please. This is a darling Annabelle, hard plastic, Alexander Doll with her box. She is in great condition. I looked her over (did not undress her) and I do not detect any cracks. She does not smell. I have a non-smoking, pet-free house. She has very nice face coloring and no loose limbs. Her eyes open and close easily and all lashes are in tact. This Cissy has beautiful coloring. She is hard plastic with vinyl arms and I do see a “split in the bottom of one of her arms”. See picture Needs a little light cleaning of her arms. Marked “ALEXANDER” on back of head. Complete with original Earrings. Here’s a great “CISSY” for your collection. Her mature figure, jointed limbs and high-heeled feet made her a fashion doll classic in the 1950′s. Her body is hard plastic, and her arms are vinyl. Her head turns, and the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees are jointed. Her “sleep” eyes work well and the lashes are full – see the photos. Her “lipstick” is intact with no chips or scratches to the color. Cissy comes complete with her original rhinestone earrings. Her wig, which is detached, is a redhead. Some of the original style can be seen but the wig does need some TLC. She is wearing panties that are stretched out and certainly look her age, but I don’t know if they were original. This Cissy is in excellent condition. The only issue can be seen in the second photo – One little piece of vinyl pops out of the arm joint when the arm is lowered – it can just be pushed back in to the joint – It’s mentioned here for complete accuracy. 6 of the dolls are SLW and 1 is a BKW all are in good but not mint condition. I will try my best to explain each doll and any issues I see. Red Haired SLW with good color but her arms and legs seem a little darker then the rest of her body and her hair need styling. Red Haired SLW is really pretty with great color and she would have been good enough to sell on her own but her head spins all the way around. I have never seen this before and she displays beautifully but she does have the head issue. Besides that she is a great doll. Tosca SLW with some color to her cheeks but not as bright as some. Tosca SLW with high cheek color that has been professionally redone. Blonde 1955 SLW with some color to her cheeks but not as bright as some. Brunette BKW who is very pretty and would have been a good doll to sell alone had it not been for the red staining on her torso. This of course would be covered by a dress but is there none the less. All together this is a really nice lot of earlier Alexander Kins that will look great redressed if you don’t mind some slight imperfections. Hese Madame Alexander dolls are my mother’s collection and she has recently given them to me to sell. They are without box, but have been in her glass case since the 80s and 90s when she bought them. I want to sell the lot as is to once collector or enthusiast. The dolls are not in perfect condition but still in close to great condition. The only issues are a a few dresses have slight sun fade and some of the elastics on the hats and accessories have loosened. I’ll bubble wrap them all as they are in one big box. This listing is for one of my dear friends treasured dolls. This is her Jane Withers. Doll by Madame Alexander. So let me tell you what I know about this Jane Withers doll. She was made by Madame Alexander in 1937. She measures 13 inches tall. She is all composition. No markings that I could find. The clothes I do not think are not original. But look appropriate on her. They are home stitched. The wig is mused but full. There are some cracks coming down and going up from her eyes. Her eyes are crackled. There is a hole and a Crack on the back of her leg. There is crazing on her legs. There are some white spots in her face.. Not sure what they are but they are shown in the photos. Socks are replacements but shoes are old. They are worn especially the left one. So while she isn’t a perfect or mint doll she is pretty and displays well. She does have some cracks and crazing. My friend bought her dolls for pleasure and not as an investment… Believed dolls deserve respect for just having survived the years of play and love of their small owners. They brought her such joy and we hope they continue to do so in their new homes. Please ask questions if there is anything I haven’t covered. These five little dolls were made by Madame Alexander in the 1930′s. They are the DIONNE QUINTUPLETS. They are almost 8 inches tall and made of composition. They are jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips and have painted features and molded, painted hair. They were in a shoe box with a little quilt lining the bottom of the box like they had been in “bed” for years and years. I have gleaned the only set of five matching outfits for them to go to their next home. There are organdy dresses with attached petticoat, with trim in the five colors, matching organdy bonnets with edging, organdy panties with lace trim , and two have shoes (the snaps are gone) with socks. I crocheted the booties for the other three girls. There are no tags on the dresses but I feel sure they are made by Madame Alexander because of the fine needle work, like hem stitching and fine lace. The bibs are another story. There are two that say’Quintot’ , two that say’Yvonne’ and one’Cecile’. You may want to rotate some of them around, I just put them on to match the color best I could. A couple of them may be homemade. The dolls are marked ALEXANDER on their heads and backs. I will describe each separately. Annette – Original yellow shoes, original socks, dress with yellow stitching and attached petticoat, organdy panties, matching organdy bonnet with yellow ribbon. This is the only one that has some crazing on her face and a little on her head. Her bib says Yvonne. Yvonne – white organdy dress with attached petticoat and pink stitching, organdy bonnet with pink ribbon, bib with pink trim and Yvonne name, organdy panties, new pink booties. Marie – white organdy dress with attached petticoat and blue stitching, organdy bonnet with yellow ribbon, bib with green ribbon and’Cecile’ name, organdy panties, new blue booties. Emilie – White organdy dress with attached petticoat and lavender stitching, organdy bonnet with lavender ribbon, bib with lavender stitching’QUINTOT’, organdy panties, new lavender booties. Cecile – White organdy dress with attached petticoat and green stitching, organdy bonnet with yellow ribbon, bib with green stitching’QUINTOT’ , organdy panties, original shoes (no snaps), original socks. These darling dolls will be a wonderful addition to your composition Alexander collection. I will include the shoe box that came with them, their little toy dogs (or some other little animal) that some little mommy made for them from leather and wool and their five doll stands.
