Up for sale is a Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. She is made of hard plastic with vinyl sleeved arms and is 20 tall. Cissy has blonde hair in original style, crystal blue eyes with full lashes, blushed cheeks and red lips. She has one very small split on her right knee which is pictured for you. She is wearing the Hard to Find turquoise slacks with gold elastic waist which is still tight , printed corduroy front jacket with a grosgrain ribbon placket, 4 working buttons with wool fabric on back and sleeves. There are some moth holes on the back of the jacket which are pictured for you. She also wears new panties and new seamed stockings, vintage high heels with flowers and lace on them and new earrings. She is all Original and in Excellent Condition. She is a Real Beauty and is waiting for her new home. Thank you for looking!!!! Commentary: Absolutely gorgeous face coloring, blushed hands and deep auburn hair, crisp costume. Hat and shoes are vintage replacements. Im pleased to offer this extremely rare, and hard to find Gay Nineties purple Godey portrait doll. Cissy is from 1959. She is the strung doll with the slender non jointed arms. Lovingly referred to by collectors as the no neck Cissy. 21 tall with an adult body, and high heeled feet. All original doll to the tagged costume. This girl is so rare, that collectors sometimes have to find bits and pieces of this particular doll. Cissy wears her original costume consisting of her dress, slip, panties, hose, and jacket, as well as her hat. Okay, where was I? The tulle on her hat has been replaced. Im sure flowers have also been added to the hat as well as the jacket. Look at that jacket! She wears lace gauntlets, as well as her original earrings. The dress is pink taffeta, and it has been laundered and pressed. Not the best thing for vintage taffeta. There are wrinkles that I didnt try to iron out. There is a pin hole at the bodice that doesnt go all the way through the lining. It is also covered by the rest of the costume. A few small pinholes in the skirt. Also a few dark smudges along the back. Meaning, there is so much positive going on, I dont really get hung up on that. Use your own discretion though. Purple elastic sandals are newer. Cissy is in great condition. Many of these dolls have yellowed and their heads have split at the seams on the sides. Cissy has had very light blush added, and its been professionally sealed. Pretty, long, full auburn wig. Blue sleep eyes that stick slightly. One side of her eyelash curls up a bit. The lashes could be replaced so they wouldnt do this, but I say leave her as original as possible. You wont find this doll again in the near future. Madame Alexander 1950s vintage 20 Cissy doll Red tagged dress Jacket Hat Muff. Im not sure about fabric names. This is shiny, but sort of stiff fabric. I see two tiny pinholes. One in the bodice near a seam. One in the fold of a skirt. I only saw them when I held this to a bright light. They are very tiny. Like an actual hole made by a pin. The fur on the jacket feels like a plush animal does. It isnt real fur. Im listing some hats. I found all in a very upscale thrift shop in Austin Texas. This is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Elise doll wearing her 1959 ribbon skirt and mandarin jacket set #25-63. This is the doll that is in The Elise Files book by Kiley Shaw on page 70. The tagged skirt is made from a heavy satin fabric that is highlighted with gold threads. The green jacket has a mandarin collar and is trimmed with jacquard ribbon. Elise wears her original panties, round rhinestone earrings, and high heels, as well as replacement stockings. She has one well repaired seam split on the outside of her left knee, a few flyaways to her hair, and has been freshly blushed. This is a brunette vintage Madame Alexander 21 Cissy Doll. She is in nice condition, but not perfect. Her forehead has a clear glue mark between her bangs. Her eyes are clear blue and it looks like a dot of paint got on her right eye right under her eyelashes. I did not see any scratches or chips in her paint, but I did not undress her. Her hair is in close to the original set. She has some fly away hairs. She has her black with 3 rhinestone original earrings. Her hat, dress, slip and underwear are all original. Her dress is tagged under the skirt, but I forgot to take a picture. The dress is in nice condition, but there are a few small brown spots and a yellow spot. There is light tan spot on the back of her jacket. She has her original bracelet with attached acrylic purse. There is a melt mark (about a cm) on the back of the purse. Her shoes are original, but someone has cut and tied the elastic to make them fit. Her nylons are nice and tight and her slip and underwear are stain free. She has an original box with the #2230, but it does have some tape on it and some pieces that have come off the side. The box has a faint pencil mark for red hair, but I’m not sure it was done at the factory. Please pay within 3 days as a case opens after 3 days, or make arrangements with me to pay.
