This is a 1962 Madame Alexander 9 1/2 inch Jacqueline Jackie Cissette Doll #894 in her blue wool two -piece suit and pill box hat (in the style of Jacqueline Kennedy’s classic wardrobe) and in a Jacqueline MA box. Jacqueline is a hard plastic doll jointed at the shoulders, hips, and knees. Her facial painting is to die for with multi-stroke brows, baby blue eye shadow and eyelids, hand painted sweeping eyeliner, high cheek color, and geranium pink lips. Her nails are perfectly painted with a ring on her finger. Her brunette wig is in the perfect original set. She is wearing rhinestone earrings and ring on her left hand, blue wool two piece suit lined in taffeta (now a lavender color which was once blue), shell pink nylon jersey blouse with 3/4 length sleeves is (tagged Madame Alexander in the back under the jacket), white lace trimmed taffeta panties, seamed hose and black sling back heels. The matching pillbox hat has three red rhinestones. The box is in good condition with some wear from storage. And shoes are slightly stretched. Her blue wool skirt has some small holes in the back which do not show when being displayed. She is missing a button from the front of her jacket. This is such a pretty doll that is in very good condition. Jackie has beautiful hair that is shiny and perfectly set. She has beautiful coloring that is bright and lovely. Her dress is in great condition and there are no tears, holes. The coat is also beautiful with no stains, holes, tears or odors. Under the dress is a perfect pair of bloomers and with nice tight stretch to the elastic. Cissette’s hose are in good condition and she is wearing gold sling back heels that have stretched some but still stay on her foot. Lastly Jackie is wearing a darling yellow hat made of tulle that is in excellent condition with no issues to report. All together this is a lovely doll that is sure to please. This special item has been safely resting in acid-free tissue in my cedar closet. A similar item was in the 1962 FAO Schwarz Christmas Catalogue. I do not see these trunk sets very often. I believe this doll is from 1961 or 1962. The trunk is red with cream trim. It is in excellent condition for its age. There are some dents which may be seen in the photos. Jackie is about 20-21 high with her tag. She is in overall, excellent condition. She does have a bit of paleness on her lips. Her hair is a bit flat from living in her trunk. The trunk is 24 high with 2 drawers inside. The items are vintage and therefore, may not be in perfect condition. It is my wish that the new owner enjoy this item as much as I have. I think that this gown was created at a later date for Jackie. Jackie is wearing her classic blue pink-lined suit with matching pink short-sleeved top. She is wearing her pearls, sapphire ring, panties, slip, stockings, black shoes, hat and handbag. I love that the suit has real pockets! The trunk includes a beautiful nightgown with lace robe, 2 two expansive satin netted crinolins for her 2 gowns, a beautiful classic Madame Alexander swing pink coat and hat with a blue velvet bow. It has a Cissy tag. A white satin gown with cape and silver shoes with the Jacqueline Kennedy MA tag, a lovely blue gown with netting, flowers, and a scarf to match, a yellow extra top, and one of my favorites, a beige faux leather jacket with a Jacqueline Kennedy tag. In the 2 drawers are: an extra pair of stockings, 2 pairs of panties, a bra/pantie set, an extra strand of pearls, a beaded bag for her evening wear, 1 glove, brush/mirror set, sun glass frames which are missing the green lens, and a pink-netted summer hat.
