This is another wonderful estate found, vintage Madame Alexander. She is an absolutely gorgeous, 16 honey blonde ELISE doll. Dolls hair still has the clip in it, and her bun still has the net on it. She is wearing her full lace slip, nylons, and pink undies. Waiting to be dressed. She also is wearing her rhinestone drop earrings and ring. Face has beautiful high color. It comes out of the estate of a long time elderly doll collector who has decided to part with alot of her collection. I personally consider her to be in near mint condition. No splits on body. Madame Alexander 1950s Cissy doll, 21 with pink and white striped dress, white coat, white sandals, hat with flower, necklace and earrings. There is a small gray smudge at the top of the dress from the hook and eye on the coat, very faint small, yellow smudge on back of legs below knee–couldn’t get it show up in the pics, jointed legs. SHE HAS THE JEWELRY TO PROVE IT, A CROWN, PEARL NECKLACE, RINGS, BRACKETS, AND NICE EAR RINGS WITH PEARLS. I FOUND OUT SOME INTEREST INFORMATION ABOUT HER. SHE WAS RELEASED IN 1955, AND WAS THE FIRST OF THE MODERN FASHION DOLLS. WHAT SET HER APART AS SOMETHING NEW AND DIFFERENT WAS THE MATURE FIGURE AND SHE HAD HIGH HEELED FEET. AT THE TIME SHE WAS AN EXPENSIVE DOLL. SHE WAS THE MOST PROMINENT DOLL IN ALEXANDER’S CATALOG BETWEEN THE YEARS OF 1955 TO 1959. CISSY STARTED OUT AS A 20″ DOLL BUT IN 1958 WAS DESCRIBED AS A 21″ DOLL SHE IS MADE OF HARD PLASTIC WITH VINYL ARMS AND IS JOINTED AT THE NICK, HIPS, WAIST, SHOULDERS AND SHE HAS ONE PIECE ARMS. SHE HAS BLONDE HAIR WHICH IS STYLED INTO A ELEGANTLY COIFFURED WIG. SHE HAS BLUE SLEEP EYES WITH BEAUTIFUL LASHES AND FEATHERED EYEBROWS. ON THE BACK OF HER NECK IS ALEXANDER. HER WARDROBE WAS NOTHING SORT OF STUNNING WHICH WAS MADE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY MATERIALS AND THE BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP.
