Description Offered in this listing is a beautiful 8 Madame Alexander Wendy Kins straight leg walker doll. She was my Mom’s doll and I can guarantee she was never played with. I recall my Mom saying her legs came off rather early (Mom had them put back on a few years ago) so she never played with her. Lucky for the doll because look at her gorgeous, high color face and perfect hair! She is from 1955 or 1956. She is completely original and dressed in a rare, hard to find fashion #488 “Wendy Ready for the Garden Party”. She is wearing her original lace bra and matching satin & lace undies that are near mint as are her original pink side snap shoes and white stockings. She has the dress, slip, pantaloons, and bonnet with silk flowers. The organza dress is very nice. It does have a moth hole in the front of the dress. The bodice also has wear/snags. They aren’t too bad and the dress still displays beautifully. The half slip is excellent, but the waist is stretched out and needs a pin. The pantaloons are perfect with very good elasticity. Her sleep eyes open and shut perfectly and the walk function works perfectly. All of my items are stored in a smoke and pet free environment. You are either happy with the item, or you are not. From an estate collection comes a wonderful red haired Alexander-kin dressed in the complete outfit #576 “Wendy’s First Sailor Dress” from 1955. Wow this is one adorable doll. This darling SLW has beautiful red hair that is nice and tight to her head with lots of shine. She has beautiful bright facial coloring and she is a 1955 doll with no under eye lashes which is correct for this year and outfit. Her body is in good condition with no stains or cracks. Her outfit is just excellent as well. The navy under dress is crisp with lots of body and shine. The darling shirt over top is also in excellent condition with no holes, stains tears or odors. The color is beautiful and it comes with the correct red ribbon tie around the neck. Under her dress she has on a beautiful star slip with tight elastic and matching star bloomers also with nice tight original stretch. To top off the outfit she has her darling sailor hat. The felt hat has no holes, fading or wear and the red pom is in great shape. The only issue with this hat was that the gold elastic had stretched so we tightened it up and now if fits perfectly on her head. To finish this outfit off she comes with htf red Alexander kins socks and white fuzzy bottom shoes both of which are in very good condition. This is such a great doll that will not disappoint. This beauty is one of the 1956 “Southern Belles” as sown on p. Smith’s “World of Alexander-kins”. I don’t believe this doll has ever been undressed as the purse is securely tied to her hand and looks to have never been removed. The doll herself is a BKW that has original light blush and a gorgeous blonde triple stitch wig. There are no cracks or stains in her body from me peeking beneath her clothes, but not undressing her. The outfit is glorious. It is complete with the pink taffeta fancy dress in great condition, magenta fuzzy bottom shoes, magenta purse securely tied to her wrist, cotton pantaloons, matching slip, double strand necklace that is silver (I think the white wore off) and fantastic hat. The purple hat is adorned with flowers and net trim. I did not find any holes in the netting. The pantaloons and slip have very relaxed elastic, but they stay up under the dress well enough to display. All in all a true beauty to add to your collection! This week and next we’re presenting several Alexander-kins dolls and clothing from an estate collection. This gorgeous early strung ballerina is all original and just stunning. She is wearing an excellent condition pink tutu and matching panties that have great color and shine with no stains or tears. I have found no holes in the double layer of netting and it sits out so beautifully. Her shoes are fuzzy bottom ballet shoes also in great condition. Her flowers are factory sewn in to her hair at the sides. The doll herself has all original coloring which is beautiful, and no stains or cracks to her body. She’s one beautiful ballerina! Wendy Dressed for Summer Morning with special hairdo. “Wendy Dressed for Summer Morning” Wendy is a SLW (that works, legs move when you turn head) very cute blonde hair in a special hairdo that is rolled with a side part and green ribbon. Eyes open and shut freely, pink cheeks, light brown eyebrows and she is marked:Alex on her back. Wendy is dressed in a green cotton dress with matching panties, white pinafore with pink rose floral design, white rayon socks and green velvet side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Dress is tag: Alexander kins and has been stitch down. Pictures were taken inside with a flash and as you can see there is variation in the color at the shoulders and around the hem where pinafore didn’t cover. This listing is for the 1957 Rare Alexander kin “Wendy Wears a Morning Dress” #366. It can be seen on page 100 of P. Smith’s “World of Alexander-kins”. Wow this is a fantastic doll and outfit. This darling bkw has a beautiful red triple stitch wig that is nice and tight to her head with lots of shine. She has bright all original cheek color and a lovely overall matte complexion. Her walker does work but she was very loose and I did have to restring her legs and arms. Now they both work and pose nicely. I think this is such a special outfit and it is in a color combination that I cannot find in any books or online. I just love a variation! I will start with her beautiful flowered dress which has a lot of body and lovely shine to the fabric. It is in excellent minty condition and which is evidenced by the extremely crisp bright tag. The dress has no stains, tears, holes or odors. The pinafore is outstanding and has a a beautiful shine to it as well. It is a very vibrant shade of green with darling rick rack trim and a pocket. This pinafore is just perfect with no stains, holes, tears or odors. Under the dress Wendy wears a beautiful pair of matching bloomers that has excellent stretch to the elastic and look almost new. Her black side snap shoes are also in fantastic condition. Lastly she tops off her outfit with a darling white hat with matching light beige/yellow flowers bunches on either side. The gold elastic is nice and tight and the straw of the hat is perfect and very white. Overall this is a near mint doll in a fantastic rare outfit that will not. This darling brunette bkw has a beautiful triple stitch wig that is nice and tight to her head with lots of shine. She has bright all original cheek color and a lovely overall matte complexion. Her walker does work, but just a little, and her body is free of cracks or stains. There are not enough nice things to say about this outfit. I will start with her vibrant blue body suit. It is in excellent minty condition and shows no wear and has absolutely no issues. The car coat is outstanding and is free of stains, holes, tears or odors. It truly looks like it came from the factory yesterday. The pink is vibrant and perfect the blue lining is pristine as is the crisp tag and there is absolutely no wear to the buttons or the blue fasteners. The pants are in the exact same condition and look new. The crease down the center is perfect and the elastic shows absolutely no wear and is very tight. Her hat is fabulous and is also perfect. The gold elastic is super tight and the blue bow on the back of the hat is just outstanding and shows no wear. Her black side snap shoes are in very good condition but not as mint as the rest of the outfit. Overall this is a near mint doll in a fantastic rare outfit that will not. The flowers while beautiful are not as pink as they once were and the straw seems to be a little delicate. Overall this is a near mint doll in a fantastic rare outfit that will not.
