Madame Alexander Dolls

Here today is a vintage hard plastic/vinyl 20 inch Cissy doll and her tagged outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1957. Please look and all of the pictures to see Cissy’s issues that I will try and describe. Cissy has most of her original hair eyelashes but on one eye she is missing about 1/8th of an inch in the center. She has open and close blue/green eyes that work as they should, the whites of her eyes are white not yellow. Cissy’s face paint is very good with the exception of her blush is slightly orange but her painted lips are perfect. I don’t see any unwanted marks on her face. Cissy has some pinkish color transfer on her waistline and a tiny bit on a couple of chest areas. She has earring holes but no earrings. They do not have any green but it appears maybe someone or the factory put a little glue to possibly hold earrings on, but it does not hamper her ability to wear earrings because the holes are still open. Cissy has very nice blush on the back of her hands and knees. She has a beautiful brunette wig that is in excellent clean and shiny condition, it just needs a little style refreshing. In some of the pictures the wig looks like it has some missing hair near her ears but I don’t believe there is any missing, it just needs to be repositioned. Her joints are good with no cracks, no splits and no chews or missing vinyl, her legs bend as they should and her arms are great but her head needs a readjustment, it wobbles. Im uncertain if it was factory done or not but she has very nicely painted light light pink toenails. It barely shows unless you really look, it appears it was was professionally done. Other than the pinkish color transfer I don’t see any unwanted body marks. Cissy’s outfit is tagged on the lavender satin sheath dress that is in very good condition with no holes or tears, but needs a little ironing. All of the original snaps are intact. Unfortunately the matching wrap around skirt has faded or changed colors but otherwise in good condition with no holes or tears. Included are very nice Cissy black elastic strappy high heels. With just a little restoration Cissy could be a real stunner, even without it she is still a very beautiful doll. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless. Here today is a gorgeous 20 inch hard plastic and vinyl Cissy doll wearing her original lavender sheath outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1957. Cissy is a painted beauty with her gorgeous crystal clear open and close vivid blue eyes, full set of hair lashes, painted lower lashes, stroked eyebrows, lightly blushed cheeks and coral painted lips. The whites of Cissy’s stunning eyes are very white and the blue is very blue with just a very tiny speck of green. She is in her original shiny blonde wig in its original set. Although it doesn’t appear her hair has ever been combed she does have a few fly aways. Cissy still retains some of the blush on her knees and backs of her hands. I don’t see any unwanted marks on her but her arms and fingers could use a light washing. Cissy’s fingers and toes are perfect and intact. It doesn’t appear she has any loose joints although her head has a slight wobble at times but that may be a characteristic of vintage Cissy’s. It doesn’t really feel loose or prohibit her from holding posses. As shown in the last picture she does have a small upper leg split that is pretty much up into the hip socket. I don’t see any other splits or cracks. Her knees and arms bend as they should. Cissy is wearing her original tagged 1957 beautiful silky satin lavender sheath dress with matching outer detachable full skirt. I don’t see any issues at all with her sheath dress that closes in the back with 5 original intact square snaps. It still has the original rose flowers at the V neckline with stand up collar and 3/4 length sleeves, lined in off white fabric. The detachable wrap skirt closes at the front with a single original square snap embellished with an attached matching bow, lined in off white fabric. The wrap skirt has a slight bit of a lighter color change near the front opening but does not show to much. To complete Cissy’s outfit she is wearing the beautiful correct open crown pale pink hat with 3 layers of netting, scattered flowers and a pink satin bow in at the back, her original silver stretch strap high heels, nylons and her faux diamond ring. As seen in a couple of pictures she is wearing an original flowered rhinestone earring. There are actually 2 of them included but both need to have new stems added before they can be worn. Cissy is wearing very nice vintage tagged undergarments, blue slip with lace hem, matching blue lace panties and a matching lace strapless bra that closes in the back with a hook and eye. They appear to have been made for the Cissy or other fashions dolls of that era. With the exception of the above mentioned issues beautiful Cissy and her gorgeous outfit are in excellent vintage condition. Although I don’t see any stains the outfit could probably stand to be dry cleaned and pressed. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless. Here today is an elegant all original Queen Elizabeth Cissy doll made by Madame Alexander in 1956. Cissy is wearing her beautiful tagged ivory ribbon patterned satin fabric Queen Elizabeth gown closing in the back with 5 original intact snaps. The skirt portion of the gown is unlined, but she wears her original ivory taffeta hoop slip with attached panties for the added fullness. Attached to the gown is the original blue moire taffeta sash decorated with rhinestones, a medallion with ruby stone, silver shoulder circlet and a pearl circlet attached at the waistline. Cissy is wearing her original fingerless ivory gloves with 3 gold tone stretch bracelets, 2 with clear rhinestones and 1 with clear and ruby rhinestones and her faux diamond ring. She is also wearing her correct original pearl and clear rhinestone earrings and her graduated faux pearl necklace. To complete Cissy’s beautiful outfit she is wearing her seamed nylon stockings and her gold tone elastic strap high heels. Cissy is wearing her ash blonde wig in its beautiful original set. Her hair appears to have never been combed still retaining the hair net on the bottom back curls. She has a gorgeous painted face with beautiful blushed cheeks, stroked brown brows, painted brown lower lashes and tiny red painted lips. Cissy has crystal clear open and close blue/green eyes with her complete full set of hair eyelashes. Although Cissy is free of any unwanted marks anywhere on her she could use a very light sponge bath on her arms and hands. She has the original blush on the back of her hands and knees. I don’t believe she has any joint issues, she can stand and pose on her own. She has all of her fingers and toes and does not have any split or cracked joints. Although Cissy and her Queen outfit are gorgeous that display beautifully the outfit does have some issues. The fingerless gloves have a couple of small holes covered by the bracelets, one of the bracelets has been re-inforced with a gold thread in one area (does have some weak areas), a small hole in the attached panties as shown in the pictures, the hoop slip needs to be reshaped but otherwise great, and the gown has a couple of spots on the skirt portion near the back that blend into the gathers that appear they can probably be cleaned. The sash and gown need to be dry-cleaned as I can not rule out the possibility of being exposed to smoke at some time before I acquired her. Here today is a beautiful 20 inch Cissy doll wearing her Garden Party outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1956. Cissy has her original shiny blonde semi curly wig in its original set. She is marked on the back of her neck ALEXANDER. She is all original with no touch ups. Cissy has crystal clear open and close blue/green eyes, smokey eyeshadow, full set of hair eyelashes and painted lower lashes and perfect red painted lips. She has a very slight bit of blushed cheeks. I don’t see any unwanted marks on her face or body. She does have a tiny bit of a neck rub, not bad. Cissy still has the blush on her hands and knees. Her joints are in perfect condition with knees and arms bending easily with no splits or cracks. Her head is just a very tad bit wobbly but has no problems holding a pose. Cissy is wearing her original tagged Garden Party dress made of white organdy closing in the back with 4 original intact square snaps. As shown in the pictures there are some aging (yellowing) areas, mostly on the lower ruffle area. The dress other wise is in very nice condition with only one diagonal seam in the back lower ruffle area and a very tiny one in seam of the neckline ruffle that are missing some stitching, they are not tears and can easily be fixed. The dress has a beautiful organdy sash that ties into a bow in the back. Im not certain if the vintage pink cabbage roses are original to the dress. Cissy also wears the original white satin pantaloons with lace trim, the elastic has no more elasticity left. To complete her outfit is the original satin hoop slip, original nylon hosiery with back seams and her original gold tone strap high heels, that are in very good condition. The slip has a bend or a break in the back hoop so it flattens out a little in the back, the waists elastic also has no elasticity left. Her entire beautiful outfit appears to have been washed. With just a little bit of professional added blush Cissy would be absolutely stunning. She is in excellent very clean condition. Here today is a darling 20 in. All original Madame Alexander Cissy doll #2083 with original box made the first year she was produced in 1955. Cissy’s outfit is in excellent condition with only a couple of small issues. The red cotton jumper is in excellent crisp and clean condition with no stains, no holes, no tears and no discoloration, closing in the back with a single original intact snap. The darling red and white striped cotton blouse is not tagged but there are remnants of where the Cissy label was under the collar in the back outer neck area. The blouse closes in the front with 3 tiny original white working buttons. The blouse is in crisp and clean excellent condition with no issues. Under the jumper Cissy wears her original white very full 1/2 slip with several layers of netting at the hem with white rickrack trim. The elastic in the waist is okay with enough stretch still to stay up. Also included are Cissy’s original white satin panties with lace trim. The panties are starting to show signs of shredding just above the lace in the front. Cissy also wears her original nylon stockings with a seam in the back that have a couple of tiny tiny holes. To complete Cissy’s outfit are her white elastic high heels with red plastic heels and her original hat with red velvet ribbon around the brim. The only issue I see with the hat is the top crown area has started to age with a slight yellow color change. Cissy is in excellent condition. Her face paint is good but could use some more blush. Wonderful stroked eyebrows with painted lower lashes and ruby red painted lips. She has all of her brown hair eyelashes, none missing and no crimping. Her clear blue eyes open and close. As with most vintage Cissy’s her eye color has a hint of brown mixed in with the blue color, looking somewhat green at times. Her limb joints are very good, she has no problem with sitting or bending her knees. Her head can be posed in many ways but at times her head bobbles a little. There is a tiny start of a split up inside her hip joint on one leg, barley noticeable. I don’t see any unwanted body marks or excessive dirt, she does skill have the original blush on her knees and hands. Cissy’s blonde wig is in very good condition with no missing hair that still retains the curls. Cissy will come in her original legible labeled box that is still in 2 pieces, the lid and box, but in poor condition. Here today is an absolutely adorable BKW Madame Alexander-Kins doll wearing her all original complete tagged “Wendy Goes Ice Skating” outfit made in 1956. Wendy has a perfect uncombed strawberry blonde wig that is in its original set with 3 row stitching. It appears her hat has never been off until I took the pictures. She has crystal clear gray-blue sleep eyes that open and close perfect with vivid painted lower lashes. She has beautiful painted red lips but has lost most of her blush. The only skin blemish I can see is under her chin there is a faint pink transfer, not bad and you don’t see it unless she is without her hat lying down on her back, assuming from the pink ribbon on the hat for so many years. Wendy can stand on her own and hold poses great, her legs are a tad loose but no problem at all standing. She is wearing her all original complete adorable tagged skating outfit. I can find no issues with her outfit. The colors of turquoise and pink are vivid with no stains, no tears, no fading, no discoloration and no odors. The little long sleeved pink tagged romper closes in the back with 2 original intact snaps. The skating skirt has a pink elastic waist band that is great with pink rickrack at the hem. The darling little pixie hat has tiny little pink button embellishments, pink rickrack, with a cluster of bright pink silk bows at the tip, closing under her chin with bright pink silk ribbons. She is wearing faux suede off white ice skates with fuzzy bottoms under the blades. Wendy and her precious outfit are too cute to put into words, the pictures speak for themselves. Offering Seldom seen are 7″ all composition quintuplet toddler baby dolls “Made in Japan during 1930′s. All five are in good original condition with only one Yvonne in pink was missing left leg she now has a replaced and repainted one with a slightly smaller foot than the others.
