RARE MADAME ALEXANDER 8 ROCK N ROLL GROUP BEATLES SET W/3 GUITARS NEW MIB NIB. Technically referred to by madame alexander in 1970s when this set came out as the “rock group” since they did not have rights on the name “the beatles”, we all know what it is for what it is! This original box set contains (4) matching 8 grey suit dressed rock and roll legend dolls who greatly resemble the beatles stars themselves. Included in this set is 3 very nicely red padded inside black cases that hold the 3 guitars, again insanely similar to those of the beatles! Even when you look closely, you can see there is differences in the looks of each doll, and vivid similarities to each beatles member! A wonderful limited edition collectible that just keeps appreciating year after year! Note there is a small tiny scratch on one of the tops of the black cases, probably due to one of the members soft shoes rubbing on top of it. She is 15 tall. Stock Item # is 1700. She is in very nice condition, with high color face paint. No rubs or imperfections. She is in remarkable condition for being over 60 years old! Clear eyes that open and close easily. Her hair is in its original hairdo, with original hairbow and hair pins. Bending joints at elbows , ankles, and knees all appear to be tight and functional. Tight to sight, I did not give her a good workout since she is in great shape and didnt want to damage her. No odors or musty smells. This was from the original owner who received her as a young teen. Past her prime of playing with dolls, so she was not played with. This Elise #1700 comes in her original lace chemise. With original stockings with seams up the back. She has her original pearl drop earrings and original pearl bracelet with pearl heart charm. Her original pink satin hairbow is still in place. As a fun addition, this doll was wearing the white sheer tricot gloves edged with lace. A bonus to any collector. Her original box is included. Has the No 1700 on the label. The box had been used to store additional doll clothing over the years, and so is a bit rough. Also included as bonus items: original shoes with silver heel platforms and elastic straps…… Era straw hat with original vintage fabric flowers (did not repair one straw edge that could be tightened) , a small bouquet of vintage fabric flowers, and a dress that may or may not be an original MA dress. It is aqua sheer voille fabric with flocked white accents. Looks very authentic, but I have not been able to document it. Please review my description, and my photos of her. She is not returnable. But I will tell you, if I collected this era of doll, she would definitely stay in my collection. I’ve never seen one this beautiful. It will be packaged for safe arrival to your home. Hildegard Gunzel 24 Melody Doll. Manufactured by Madame Alexander Co. Limited Production – #433. Melody is a beautiful vinyl doll with cloth body. Her hair is a human hair blonde wig. Her glass eyes are blue. She wears a beautiful floral dress with a pink and white layered collar and matching bow. Her slip is white with eyelet lace trim that match her pantaloons. She wears a pink skirt layered under the dress. Her tights are white and her shoes are black patent leather. She carries a lace potpourri sachet with a peach ribbon. Original wrist tag attached – original box and certificate of authenticity included. There is clear tape on two corners of the box as pictured. She has never been played with or undressed, see her perfect shoe ribbons, hairstyle and flowers, and bright white coloring of her tagged tutu and underslips. She has her original wrist string that held her wrist tag as well. Jointed hard plastic body with perfect blue sleep eyes and high facial coloring with red lips and cheeks, clothing is like new, with original Nina Ballerina Madame Alexander tag. She wears the winter white tutu with silver rickrack trim with flowers at the waist and shoulder and in her hair, pink satin ballet shoes with ribbons that have never been disturbed, and her original bloomers with snap back and attached second net slip. She has her original curls in her bangs and her hairstyle has not been disturbed. Sleep eyes open and close freely, she holds a pose well with her neck and arms. The only flaw I can see is a tiny paint rub on her upper left lip (see pictures), and the shoe ribbons have a tiny bit of fraying on the edge but still retain their factory placement. Her larger underslip also has silver rickrack trim, and her long tutu is factory-pleated and like new. She wears a little string of beads as well. I did not undress her as I don’t want to disturb her perfect outfit. Her original box still retains its Madame Alexander face label and is numbered Style 4015, checked white for color and blonde for hair and blue for eyes. Box has some light discoloration overall and some creasing along a couple of the bottom edges but is quite sturdy and has its original pink tissues inside. This rare near-mint example of this sweet doll would make a wonderful gift for the advanced collector.
