Madame Alexander Dolls

She has a walking style body like the others in the Me and My Shadow series. She has be blue eyes, VERY long thick eyelashes, nice even two stroke brows, and soft pink cheeks. Her shiny blonde hair has curled under bangs and soft curl clusters at the nape of her neck, all nearly flawless and in original set. Her crisply tagged gown is slate blue, soft taffeta with elaborate silk braid and loop-trimmed panniers on her hips and bustle drapery down the back. She has lace trimmed tulle sleevelets, and netting stockings. She wears a light cream, taffeta, loop trimmed petticoat with a hoop that accentuates the bustle in the back, and attached lace-trimmed pantaloons in fantastic condition. Her shoes are lovely with almost flawless fuzz still on the soles. Her original lace hat is a light cream with original flowers and original pink satin ribbon that ties nicely at her chin. Her original pink velvet handbag is in nice condition, and she also carries a white and gold Madame Alexander hat box also in lovely condition. She is really a very lovely doll from the desirable Me and My Shadow Portrait series, and comes from a smoke and pet-free home. Look at the photos carefully and ask questions. Absolutely fantastic example of this 1955 Cissy blue tulle bridesmaid. She has the most gorgeous face, her hair is perfect, her gown and headpiece are perfect (with exception that I just noticed of a tiny spot on back of skirt – never noticed it till taking photos). She is all original with panties and shoes and the original tulle wrapped bouquet which is usually missing from this doll. I have collected Cissy for 32 years, and this is the only example of this rare accessory that I have ever seen. She has piercing blue eyes, full dark eyelashes, and shiny dark curls in original set. Her crisply tagged pale pink taffeta gown is still very stiff and has never been pressed. The decorative, detailed sequin and beading work down her plush, purple, velvet sash is just stunning. She wears all of her original jewelry, pearl tear drop earrings, pearl necklace, pearl and “diamond” studded bracelets, and “diamond” crusted silver crown. She wears her long, slightly off-white finger-less gloves, and has a pink Madame Alexander Hat box. Her stiff matching pink taffeta hoop-slip with attached lace edged, (with stiff elastic) panties are lovely. Her netting stockings and satin shoes with flawlessly fuzzy soles are a perfect final touch. She comes from a smoke and pet-free home. Up for sale is this amazing near mint 18 Vintage Madame Alexander Active Miss (same body as Sweet Violet). The active miss and sweet violet dolls have different bodies than the other Madame Alexander dolls. They are jointed at the wrists, elbows and knees, and all of her joints work well. Their eyes are a lovely deeper blue than other Madame Alexander dolls. This active miss is in extraordinary condition. She is wearing her crisply tagged party dress of pink organdy, white lace trim, and pink satin ribbon sash. She has a perfect lace trimmed slip with matching panties, also trimmed in lace and adorned with little pink bows. Her white socks and black patent leather side snap shoes are flawless as well. Her pink bonnet is trimmed with lace, ribbon and stunning original flowers. There are a few tiny spots of discoloration from age. As for the doll herself, she is breathtaking. Her eyes are that deep blue, eyelashes thick and long. Her original eye-shadow, brows, blushing and lips are all stunning. Her hair is in nearly perfect original curls. Up for sale is this 18, Near Mint in Box, Vintage, Madame Alexander Picnic Day doll from the Glamour Girl portrait series. She is wearing her flawlessly tagged, stiff, cotton-candy pink, polished cotton gown, with black lace trim, unbelievably full gathered skirt, and green taffeta sash. There is no fading of the black lace trim or coloring in the gown. Her facial coloring is perfect as well— vibrant blushing, eye shadow, lips, eyebrows, etc. Her hair is in it’s original set in nearly flawless shiny curls. Her bold brown eyes, and very thick, long eyelashes open and close as they should. Her hoop-slip and attached panties are perfect and still rather crisp and white, with still tight elastic. Her original net stockings are as perfect as her shoes with flawlessly fuzzy soles. She wears a straw picture hat with flowers and black netting that ties under her chin (also has an elastic that holds the hat in place) It is in great condition with the exception of one place where it was bent in the box for years and has cracked just a little. Her box is in ok condition, as well, but not minty like the doll. NO odors– from a smoke free and pet free home. This is an amazing doll! We have several other dolls in excellent condition and/or very rare in other listings. This doll is in un-handled condition, which is why she is still in mint condition. Gently lifting her net tulle from underneath, I see no major rips or tears, or anything remotely like that.
