This set is so cute. Cissy has several outfits with all the things she needs to go on vacation. I checked and all the items that are listed in the catalog are here. The clothes in the trunk look like they were folded from the factory. Shoes still in plastic etc. This doll has no box, but her COA is in the trunk. The catalog states she has 2 wigs. It shows her wearing a blonde wig, and with her other outfit wearing a brunette wig. She actually has 3 wigs. She seems to be wearing a honey blonde wig and the other 2 wigs are in the trunk. Not sure how you switch wigs, I dont want to mess with the hair. She said she believes the doll I have is actually morning ritual Cissy. She does look like the Yardley morning ritual Cissy without the robe, slippers etc. Which makes sense, morning ritual Wig is permanent. Cant change out wigs. But you could remove the glue, then you could change wigs. Please look at pictures for full description. Any questions please ask. Wendy – Dressed for a Summer Morning for the Discriminating Collector. Wendy is Dressed for a Summer Morning. 8 Madame Alexander, #424 Wendy.. Produced in 1955, she is a bent knee walker with the Wendy Ann face and marked ALEX on her back.. Her face paint is all original and she has very bright rosy cheeks. She has blue flirty eyes and her walking mechanism works fine. Wendy is wearing her original outfit which consists of a tagged lime green cotton dress with a floral cotton pinafore and lime green panties. She has fuchsia original shoes with fuzzy bottoms and wears rayon socks. She has her original wrist tag To: All Little Girls Everywhere, and her booklet from 1955 showing her photo and others created that year. This doll also came with a perky hairdo but mine has the traditional flip and is exactly as I bought her mint in box in 1991! She has shiny blonde hair and a triple stitched wig. Original set is perfect. She has lived behind glass in my custom doll room and is from a pet-free, smoke-free home. Dont miss this treasure she is fresh and crisp as the day she was made! Cissy is clean and free from odors, chews, missing digits, stains or cracks. Not at the sides of knees, top of legs, crotch or sides of head, neck or shoulders. Very nice infused doll, not painted. Clear blue eyes that open and close with ease. Hair is the shorter, tight curls. Wig is set off to the side a bit, center stitching is not down the middle exactly. Wig is clean and retains it’s original curls. No touch ups to her face paint. Arms are nice and match body well. No splits to rubber in socket. Knees are tight, as are hips. New stringing to the head and arms. It is the more hard to find purple version, not the blue. It consists of a cotton striped blouse, box pleated purple skirt, pink lace slip, cloche hat, panties, and her lilac original shoes. I added new nylons. She is missing her chatelaine pocket watch. Blouse and skirt have been carefully hand laundered. The blouse is faded on the top of the arms and the front of the blouse. Original flower is sewn at the neck, was removed to clean the blouse. I do not believe this doll was played with, but certainly was on display for some time. The skirt has two areas of a rusty type stain on the netting lining. Probably from a stand. It does not come through to the front of the skirt. The skirt is tagged. The slip is in nice condition, no runs or stains. Elastic is a wee bit stretch, as is the panties, but do stay up. Panties are original and unwashed, nice condition. Shoes have very stretched out original elastic. I have tied them up to stay on. Her cloche hat has some age staining to it, but is in great condition. These hats are so hard to find that don’t have broken straw somewhere. This one does not. I removed the original velvet bow and washed, ironed and reinstalled. A nice display doll. She is a pro at it! Not perfect, but a great addition to any collection. Stand is not included. The doll is absolutely GORGEOUS with original clothes, shoes, heels, hat, wig, slip, underwear and box (box is in poor condition). She has NO odors, stains or cracks. There is a mold flaw/dent on the left leg right above the knee. Not sure what it is and I tried to photograph it, but it did not come out. Clothes are in very good condition with no holes or stains and are unwashed. The top does have some dirt/aging to the white part of the stripes. Most likely can be washed out. The skirt is tagged “Cissy”. The elastic in the heels is a bit stretched. Wig is full and in the original set with the original curls. Stringing is still tight and she can hold a pose. She does have the “pocket” watch on her hip. The box is trashed and in many pieces, but the end piece does say Cissy, Lavender, #2114 on the end and it is intact. This doll’s face is beautiful with original factory color and NO touch-up or repaint/repairs. She is a beauty and is ready to be displayed. Wendy Dressed for Summer Morning with special hairdo. “Wendy Dressed for Summer Morning” Wendy is a SLW (that works, legs move when you turn head) very cute blonde hair in a special hairdo that is rolled with a side part and green ribbon. Eyes open and shut freely, pink cheeks, light brown eyebrows and she is marked:Alex on her back. Wendy is dressed in a green cotton dress with matching panties, white pinafore with pink rose floral design, white rayon socks and green velvet side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Dress is tag: Alexander kins and has been stitch down. Pictures were taken inside with a flash and as you can see there is variation in the color at the shoulders and around the hem where pinafore didn’t cover. The pinafore could used some freshening(but that will be up to the new owner) Really nice green velvet shoes. All of my Items have been bought at auctions or estate sales. This listing is for the 1957 Rare Alexander kin “Wendy Wears a Morning Dress” #366. It can be seen on page 100 of P. Smith’s “World of Alexander-kins”. Wow this is a fantastic doll and outfit. This darling bkw has a beautiful red triple stitch wig that is nice and tight to her head with lots of shine. She has bright all original cheek color and a lovely overall matte complexion. Her walker does work but she was very loose and I did have to restring her legs and arms. Now they both work and pose nicely. I think this is such a special outfit and it is in a color combination that I cannot find in any books or online. I just love a variation! I will start with her beautiful flowered dress which has a lot of body and lovely shine to the fabric. It is in excellent minty condition and which is evidenced by the extremely crisp bright tag. The dress has no stains, tears, holes or odors. The pinafore is outstanding and has a a beautiful shine to it as well. It is a very vibrant shade of green with darling rick rack trim and a pocket. This pinafore is just perfect with no stains, holes, tears or odors. Under the dress Wendy wears a beautiful pair of matching bloomers that has excellent stretch to the elastic and look almost new. Her black side snap shoes are also in fantastic condition. Lastly she tops off her outfit with a darling white hat with matching light beige/yellow flowers bunches on either side. The gold elastic is nice and tight and the straw of the hat is perfect and very white. Overall this is a near mint doll in a fantastic rare outfit that will not.
